Perhaps this has been stated, but I think a few people are missing what really changed, and are thinking it's something else.

MFG does not "support" character "theft". They merely tolerate it. Basically they're giving up the responsibility of being a police force for the "privlidged" creators who built their stuff from scratch.

If your character is "stolen", MFG is not going to stop you from attempting to defraud the perpetrator, and get credit for your work. They're just not going to help you, either. Mugen's community can make all it's own implied laws that it wants, it's just that MFG isn't going to enforce them.

If you don't like something, make your opinion known. That's what the new ruleset is all about! No more discriminating one opinion and supporting another. You're not going to get banned for saying "this character is stolen! Here's proof:". Nor are you going to get banned for saying "I support character theft!". MFG just no longer takes sides, is all, and Mugen's community is allowed to grow in whatever way it likes, instead of being constricted to one mindset (in this forum, anyway).

With that being said, the only things I don't like are:
Wording in the rules thread should be changed. Instead of saying "Warehouses are ok with us!", it should say "Warehouses are tolerated by us". It's far more neutral.
Also, I don't like the request forum completely open. Viewable is fine, but without the previous enforced restrictions on posting, I think the amount of requests will skyrocket, and people will be less bothered to reply to them.
And, about the "sudden stab"... You avoided a war by using blitzkrieg  :-X I'm not quite sure what to think about that, really. Certainly, you avoided some unpleasant nastiness, but perhaps given time, the community would grow to understand the need for change, and it could've been done peacefully.

Other than that, I am extremely impressed with you, MFG. Good job  ;)
