Is this is a JP copy vs an US copy?
Yes, PS3 is JP and PS4 is US.
What bothers me the most is the friend invite "bug"... so they release a huge patch but they don't address this problem? That sucks.
as dio said, they mighta s well be different games, jsut ocnsider how big of a desynch one frame can cause, now rememebr that even small version changes have different values for the character's parameters, so it's no wonder they can't play against themselves at all ( do in a way it's an effective region lock, lol).

Log Horizon has been mentioned to me several times, too, so I'll dig it afterwards.
Log Horizon deserves praise for eschewing the tired "You die in the game you die for real" plot alone.
isn't log horizon part of the economic trilogy along with spice and wolf and mao yuusha ?
