Haha, don't worry mister "change name from time to time", you are some of the guys that I will send a mensage telling when the next update is released.

And speaking of that, yesterday I begin to make a new fatality and today is almost complete. It's called "execution", since Sol grabs a shotgun and executes the enemy, hahaha.

Anyway, for those who care, I will see if by the end of the next week I will release the update.

Done. I left the start buton to activate the minisun, so the player can be on the midlle of a combo and press start to activate it without canceling his combo (of course IF he can press the start button without losing concentration or something, haha).

What I need to do now is some effect to display to indicate that the heatbar is at 100%. I am in doubt if I put some effect on the bar or on the player... or something that appears on the midlle of the screen... maybe a very little light with something around to indicates that the "minisun" can be activated...

And now Sol loses life more quick when it's on, and it only disapears after sol's life comes to 1, so the player choose if he will ignite this or not. and the AI will always activate, except if she has little life and the enemy has to much. or if sol has little life but the enemy has little to.

Aahh, so it's not one edited sol? then probably I have him allready.

And your idea is good to... maybe I could make that, when the bar becomes full it begins to flash. indicating that now the player can do the command to activate her... Dam, now I will have to make this (witch means more programation and stuff to do).

Maybe I will see if I make the "heat bar" a little more hard to fill, but the player will have the decision if he will activate or not, since I will make that the life of sol will deplete a little more fast.

Haha, thanks dude. But I hope you are not mistaking this with a new update, since this is only the old topic that was "ressurected" by BlackiePanther. if not then I think you will like the 1.0 version (try the special colors+special effects - select him while holding start)

But I will release a new update in a month or so.

Hum... Even if I did him, I still not played to much with him. so you say it's increasing to fast? well, it's not exactly fair to the enemy since he is meant to be a kind of boss, but... since I am now doing the new update (will release in one month or so), I will make it a little more hard to increase the tension (heat) bar.
And it's not 100% unfair, I mean, the bar only activates if the enemy is allready losing the round (since you must hit the enemy to increase the bar and it decreases fast). and Sol loses life while the bar is active.

Ok, I will make this: on the next update he will lose a little more life while the bar is active and will be a little more hard to fill her.

And what sol you have that you say is a "pretty decent sol"? is some edit that I don't know?

EDIT: And a quick question here (jus in case someone would read here and have a aswer for this question): Should I try to make engrenado/dar order compatible to the new mugen? or right now is not something important as the new mugen is still in test stage? (I don't have to much information right now, haha)

Iwolfe, I watched here now, and to me it was cooll, since it was the first time I ever watched someone control him in a fight (I never have really used him to fight, I just analized and watched the AI fight while doing him). And in the end you win, há.

aahh, and one thing I forgot to mention about the superarmor that has hapened on your video, the correct thing would be to, after receive some attack, sol don't stop the attack. but something on the codes I did makes that he restart the move adter get hit (that's why he repeated that hyper that hit dragon claw on your video)(I will ask on the future to someone on how to fix this, since I have no clue in the moment)

Hum... "cybernetic werewolf against a stone age-esque sword fighter, a wrestler vs a 2 colored blond guy, a cop vs a horse man, a wooden man made of steel vs. Satan"... lets analize this to see if they are indeed impossible:

-"cybernetic werewolf against a stone age-esque sword fighter"- Maybe werewolfs exists, then it happens that one is captured and can't reverse back to human form, and some people implant cyber stuffs in him. And some ocultist/satanist group summons some demon that must be invoked on some ancient bones... so he will be able to moviment/walk around on the world using this old bones revested on some high resistent material. So It's better not afirm this one is impossible.
-"a wrestler vs a 2 colored blond guy"- This one is weird, since it needs some blond guy to paint all the rest of his clothes and what is showing of his skin of only one color.
-"a cop vs a horse man"- this one is not to much difficult, maybe on the apocalipse some demons will have/posses phisical bodies and some police officer will have to fight some.
-"a wooden man made of steel vs. Satan"- this one seens really difficult, it would need some men that, let's imagining, would be cursed by the devil for some reason to have his body transformed in wood, then he would have found some way to revest hinself with steel. after that he would have to find the devil encarnate (let's say the antichrist on the future) and be able to start a fight with him (yeah, crazy stuff, hahaha)

If it's weak it will not stop, unles it hit some sensible area like the eyes (and even so it's not garented that it will stop the attack of the enemy). Imagine a zanguief runing to attack ryu, ryu does a quick+kind of weak fast punch and hit the chest of zanguief, will this punch be enough to zanguief say/think "oh no, this punch hurted a little, I better stop the attack and put my hand on my chest to help contain the pain while ignoring if ryu is going to make other attacks now". Hahaha

Sometimes a weak attack on the right spot can stop the enemy, but other time even a strong attack on the righ spot will not stop. What for sure stop is a mortal/knockout/break move on the right place on the right moment

EDIT: and, depending of the circunstances, a men can grab the life with his will and take what remains of his "should be dead" body and release a last attack

EDIT 2: Of course I am imagining a true fight, to the death or not, not a boxing show or that ridiculous other kind of fights that pass on tv (I don't remember the name)

and responding:
-I did this way, that the charge of power of dark order is fast (maybe I exagerated)
-and the hyper-armor I did to try to let more real, that a simple weak punch would not stop a fighter (so weak attacks activate the armor, but strong ones no (and to dark order has to be more strong attacks to breack his armor)(and it only serves for the first hit))
-The idea is that dark order is the normal sol with a "magical fire armor" or something like that (that's why he appears to be always hot), so, when he is grabed, he looses concentration and the "magical armor" almost goes off, hahaha (I have to do something like this because of a limitation of mugen: since he is a double char, all the time someone would grab dark order, he would come back to his engrenado sprites, and aparently there is no way to fix this)

I will chech the other video later (internet slow)

It was kind of inevitable that he would be considered overpowered, since from the beguining I wanted him to be a kind of complete char with lots of resources (guard and combo breaker, reflect projs, dodges, guard impact, guard push, stand and air fireballs, fatals, etc)

But remember "dark order sol" is meant to be overpowered, since he is meant to be a boss, but I don't know if engrenado is considered to much right now (not the AI, since the AI is meant to be the best agressive that I could do) when someone play around with him (I don't played to much).

and off course cool that you guys liked and stuff

aahh, when I said before "automatic jump" I was meaning a jump where he automatic goes toward the enemy, not a jump that happens automatic (may look confusing to someone else reading this, haha)

Hum... even so, controler is better, hahaha. (720 on keyboard? fast fingers or done while the char is coming down from a jump or recovering from some attack? I mean, to be able to do a 720 without the char begining a jump on the middle of the command)

because the punch of the level 1 has a foward attack animation, so it would look strange not send the enemy flying back

throws... wich one (of all the 8 throws? )

So you liked only more or less of the TIM?

I let more simples the commands, as I said it's not one edit of the original Sol, it's a new char using his sprites/sounds and name of character. It's not meant to really be accurate.
And I din't understod: you said you liked or disliked the TIM (the move that is like that one from akuma)?

1) Yeah, now that you are saying, it is to much slow (fix note).
2) Hahaha, I don't know the names of the moves right, it seens to me that he was saying "inga", so I let the name Inga.
3)But it's his "king of fighter" dodge style (since this is mugen I wanted him to be a complete char, so he need to have some foward dodge)
4)If I remember he sends the enemy a little backwards, but not as much as the original dust. and I din't wanted to make a automatic jump towards the enemy, I decided to let this as a player choice (in case he would for some reason want to jump backward)
5)Yeah, controler is best than keyboard, so all the time I was imagining he being played via a controler
6)hum... but "Tyran" sounds cooll to, hahah. I din't understood right what you said here, but it was proposital that the level 1 "tayran" sends the enemy towards the wall, so people would not conect level 2 all the time (I know, weird, but I decided to let this way because it looks cooll the enemy bounce of the wall towards the level 2)

and besides the feedback, what do you liked in the chars?

Here it is, the first update for Sol Engrenado and Dark Order Sol. Now it's not Beta anymore, it's Version 1.0, haha. but it's not the final version of course, there still lots of things to do, but the big part is done, so I decided to call 1.0 (and now they are complete chars, so it's not right to call beta).

To those who doesn't know him, he is a double char, meaning Sol engrenado can transform in Dark Order Sol, but at same time they are 2 chars. that's why there is 2 downloads now, so Sol and Dark Order has their own big and smal portraits now. And it's a Completely new Sol, it's not edited of some normal Sol, so it's all new moves, but off course some moves resemble the ones from the original sol.

What is new on the update (this serves for both chars):
- Separated downloads, so each one has his big and small portrait
- New hit effect
- Fixed the "blue over red" clsn thing
- new medium kick animation for Sol
- Faultless defense (sends the enemy back and dosent take guard damage)
- Dust move + dust move screen effect
- fixed some comboability that only the AI had (it was a mistake mine that let players unable to make
  certain combos)(perhaps there still some mistake left, there is lots of variations, haha)
- 2 new air throws
- 3 new air hyper combos
- 1 new hyper attack (if the enemy is hit by some air hypercombo while on the floor)
- new sword effect (in the moment only for the normal sword moves)
- new effect for the hypercombo (the level 2 hypercombo - 2 bars)
- new fatality
- 1 new hyper "TIM" (like the "raging demon" from akuma)
- A medium punch version of the hyper combo
- New intro
- New win
- Now hold start to select special colors (some with special effects)
- other fixes/changes, etc.

Aaaaannnd... that is it. Please give some coment about the new stuffs, things that you like/dislike/should be changed, sugestions, things to fix that I forgot or din't knew, etc.

HAHaha, that was cool. but ended let me imagining how the product would come... do this now, draw the char you would want on a paper, scan and put here later. just for fun, so I could at least take a look on the horror, hahaha. (maybe it would turn kind of good, but try to draw good)
