as long as it doesn't look too pixelated... i mean gem fighters is pretty kick ass but no no to ultimate jumpstars or any ds sprites.

yeah it takes a long time to get all the tracks in the correct order... i would appreciate it though if the author mentions the name if the tracks even though they don't include bgms with them.

i have no trouble finding bgms.. so don't even start... it's not considered warehousing. it's considered illegal because all of them are copy written. I'm having trouble arranging the tracks to the stages you have misinterperate me.

Do you guys like to go with orginal BGM's for stages or do you mix it up and add your kind of music to your liking? I like to keep my bgms'd in folders and arrange them to the original stages but its very hard considering I don't own all  fighting games. What I usaully do when I don't own certain games is search for video clips on youtube to find out. Is there a easier way to do this?... say a database of some sort? Recently I'm trying to match some guilty gear stages with their respective bgms but it's so hard because I only own Accent Core for the ps2.

seems like he has no ai... but theres a cns file labeled ai.

could use a little work on his palettes

great stage but you can barely hear the bgm even though it's set up to 255....

I put two RARE AKUMAs against PS and both RAs lost. :P
play with akuma yourself... don't watch them fight.. it's not matter of AI. It's more a matter of how cheap the characters are

Hmm, another shotoclone-but-not-really? Interesting concept but the following really needs addressing IMO:

1. All attacks have infinite priority, that is, there is no Clsn2 over Clsn1. Clsn1s are not considered hittable by the engine, and thus Eric cannot be hit out of his attacks. Here's a good demonstration:



Notice how KFM's punch area is mostly pink (Clsn2 over Clsn1), while Eric's kick is completely red (no Clsn2). KFM can trade hits or be hit out of the punch if someone attacks that area, whereas if KFM were to try to punch Eric's leg, he would miss because there is no hittable area there.

2. Turbo Punch is completely invincible due to a scripting error. The readme says it goes through projectiles, but in actuality it will go through everything. A good way to spot errors like this is in the debug:



The word "MUTEKI" near Eric's name means that he is completely invincible. A quick look at the coding for this move will explain why:

I blame this partly on the docs, because they don't really explain correctly how the command works, they just give you some examples. That "SCA" in there is interpreted by the MUGEN engine as "not hit by anything". To fix it, simply remove the "SCA".

This is partially correct, as it will negate special and hyper projectiles. However, it is also possible for a projectile to be "normal", so this would be more correct if you want the move to go through ALL projectiles:

3. The KFM striker should be hittable in some way.

4. I noticed that every single special move deals exactly 150 damage... It's perfectly okay to vary the damage a bit. It is typically a good idea to set an average value for your moves so they don't become unbalanced in relation to other moves, but you don't HAVE to stick to those rigid values. This is more of a suggestion than anything, so feel free to ignore it.

5. Triple Eric Palm is very difficult to pull off. The reason for this is due to the "statetype = S" trigger in the ChangeState control for it. Since the move ends with a down, it is likely that the player will be crouching when he inputs the punch, which will not allow the move to go off. To make it easier I'd suggest changing it from a "statetype = S" to a "statetype != A". This makes the move way easier to use.

6. Raging Smile probably should not be an instant kill, even for a level 3 super. It just screams "overpowered".

That's all I've got for now. You did a pretty solid job putting the character together, it definitely stands out above some of the other crap that's been released lately.

Drop the gun Snake, Doc only said that there was not many people who posted feedbacks, and he also said that the character had bugs, I didn't see him say you had to report feedbacks to be allowed to use it. And the character having bugs and glitches is not a matter of opinion when compared to something as solid as "it's the goddam original right here". What an opinion is is to say "it's worse than the original". He did say it was shit, and that's an opinion, but he said "it's shit because it's broken" and not "it's not accurate therefore it's shit" just as much as he didn't say "feedback or die". Make the difference kthx.
Sorry, I just have to get this off my chest and i'm done. Don't sugarcoat what he said. This guy comes into this thread started flingling his shit all over people just because they thought the character was worth a try. As far as I'm concern it isn't even about the character that offended me a big deal. It's his choice in words thats all twisted.

it was more a general rant and a response at being attacked.  people posting that this character is the greatest thing in the world when it clearly is not the case gets me riled up.  how can it have that many problems and be the greatest character ever.  If I am going to base an opinion to see if it is worth my time to even download I wonder who I will use? a long standing member of the community or someone who screams OHHH SHIII at everything.

There are those amongst us who praised oohwhap and shazzo.  should I have listened to them and downloaded their characters?
