Does anyone know of a program that can compile an entire SFF file into individual PCX files? I tried with fighter factory but I don't think it has that ability.

like the triangle portraits. but how will you work out the cursor?
Currently is exactly that the select icon is a mouse cursor but its still operated by the key board.
I have an idea of using glowing orb type things as select icon's but have yet to implement them.

Looks pretty cool, the colors remind me of a more KOF-like style, but then the portraits are CVS2 portrait which balanced out the Capcom/SNK style.

BTW did you do some kind of filter edit on that Evil Ryu portrait?
That's what I was going for because I wanted to add a bigger snk presence. :]

Yeah a few actually + some slight tool usage.

After releasing the early beta for my other project, which has been cut,  and getting virtually no response I decided to base something of CVS.

I saw a utter lack of open source/shared stage sprites and with out a mouse I can no longer use photoshop efficiently so I wanted to request stage sprites from anywhere as I am bored and want to code something.

Took fucking three minutes to load. It can't be prevented I just thought it was tad funny.
Pros
Overall I really like the work that has gone into this project and really enjoyed playing it especially the way the arcade works.

cons
I'm not digging the loading screen.


I know this would be a bitch for all the down loaders but have you thought about sprite swapping the character's whatchumacallsitthatliesundethelifebars for a more customized feel and lifebar integration.

Avast sometimes marks small files as viruses simply do to their files sizes.

Ah I see becuase I knew about the select screen I asked about the menu screen.
I just don't see how its like that normal mugen doesn't even double the sprites. :/

(just from the screen shots, dont have time to test it now)

needs fonts (im sure you know) for the style your going with i'd go for something square.
cursor (im sure you know)
i'd steer away from using ziltama's random sprite, it's not to hard to make your own, and you'll get better results that suit your tastes better.

the images double because the 'hi-res' select screen is d4 which doubles the resolution, so you need to double the sprite sizes, which you did. But thats why anyway
Yeah knew about fonts, hadn't thought of a cursor though so I'll look that up and thanks for the info but did you mean the menu screen?


Oh and its not ziltama's random sprite it was just made to heavily resemble it.


Comment to all others who come in the thread.
This very early release is so that I can get some opinion's on what people would like the overall structure and or feel of it to resemble.

Had a extensive amount of playing today overall its a solid game the controls take some getting use to but the ability to customize the control skim sure did help. The innerbattle cut scenes can be annoying but can also help you out of sticky situations for example if you
've just been Kamehamehad' in the face yes i said had' one of those cut scenes can pretty much stop the whole thing which can also be annoying.

I must say after 20+ rounds against my friend and only one win I still had alot of fun playing.
