Hello, Its been a while since ive released anything around here but today i bring people something that they can have fun with.
Taking a page from HankVenture's ADX thread that he did some time ago i bring you my Fate Unlimited Codes ADX pack with 49 tracks ripped from the source game NOT converted from Mp3's. The end result is an ADX with the loop points perfectly set with no by the ear work needed to be done (fortunately since im not as good as HankVenture with setting looping points) the adx are in the same quality as the ps2 version of the game and are/should be fully compatible with mugen if you have the proper adx plug-in installed.
A couple of things to make note of though:
since i dont know what the songes themselves are called (i dont even think a soundtrack is out for this game yet) i left the adx files unnamed. I figured people that play the game would know which song is which and people who have not played it will probably just keep and play the ones they like. I might update at a later time if i find the proper respective names for the songs.
the second thing to note is a couple of the later songs have sounds of characters making fighting noises(its 2 or 3 of the last tracks i believe) this is not an error. The songs that have those sounds in them because these are the adx tracks from the extra videos in the gallery modes of this game. The way this game works is that it played an adx track concurrently with the video being showed for the video extras that the game contained. The adx's included that have those sounds are just the adx track rips of those vid files.

Also a note for fans of this game: expect the voice tracks and sound effect tracks of this game in the open source section of this forum shortly. Im sure many mugen creators will be able to make use of those

anyways, here is the link(its a huge file btw 178mb or so, so just be ready for it to be rather big)

P.S. if anybody knows of other reliable mirrors please let me know, i know sendspace sucks but couldnt think of another semi-reliable free file hoster that allowed an upload that big

ive been playing the game for the last couple of days, and while its nothing special i guess it does prove to be... entertaining
the game does promote button mashing and it still has quite a few problems with infinites though. the first one that i ran into doing was riders infinite leg sweep.
the game feels like filler, but i can atleast say it isnt shit.
however the game does promote pain in my hands as it sort of comes out like a button masher, this issue does become specially aparent in a 2 player situation.By the end of a 2hr versus matches sessions my friend had a bad thumb blister and i had pain in my wrists.
still decent i guess.

fun fact: the game runs on the renderware engine( for the ps2 version atleast, dunno know about the naomi though)for graphics, its quite curious to see an engine that powered gta III graphically used to make a fighting game.

Variable geo destruction screenpack (open source)

yeah, this screenpack is a bit odd, not even I knew where I was going with this screenpack and i was mostly doing it for the hell of it. I got a creativity block afterwards and figured id post it here to see if someone can make any use out of it. the screenpack is incomplete, only title screen and option screen was done and the character select screen and vs screen was not finished( i barely had started working on it). Still it seems like a shame to just dump this screenpack, im sure maybe someone can have some use for something out of it.
anyways heres the screenpack:

if you want to see how it looks like:

P.S. Ignore the stages in the screenpack i was just messing around with them at the time as well they are nothing but remnants of me experimenting and messing with stuff, feel free to delete them

well i updated the ability for it to be launched from any dashboard(for those folks who remember launching it from xbmc was iffy on some xbox's) although that wouldnt be enough to warrant an update. The only way i would be very motivated on launching an update would be if someone told me how to remove the friggin expiration date elecbyte message from linmugen(which in turn would mean that xmugen would also have it removed)

modem ? not at all, you either need a router/hub, or a crossover cable. crossover cable is cheaper.
oh wow, thats awesome [E] you use xmugen?
neat....
but yeah either ftp through xbmc or unleash x rather works great.
I personally use a crossover cable it seems to be more compatible on my end

hehe, i wont probably to ever be able to make a 100% accurate database, but i can try.
its a hobby my friend, im not out to get perks or recognition. the name of the author will be given and properly credited.
as for subscribing to endless rss feeds, and all that i will probably not be able to do a massive follow up like that, mostly because i work and have an outside life. Still my team and i can try. the way i intended would be something like this:

somebody requests it because its offline:
My staff will check if its offline, if it is we will try to fulfill the request or wait if someone else can fulfill it. if its fullfilled an entry can be added to the database. the updating will be done on a "as needed basis".
I dont plan on making this forum the "zomg massive ass database" in a couple of days or months. It will get to its size depending on user input, information and confirmation of my staff and then follow up.

thanks for the input and im just trying to be honest and explain from the get go what i consider realistic. I can completely understand your way of explaining things and point of view. thanks for wishing me good luck.

well, we are not requesting your help to sort out problems for us.I was just merely asking for further ideas and ammendments. I am well aware of the history of mugen, ive been for only 2 years, but ive read up multiple articles and more or less caught up. and while i understand what you mean and agree on some parts(i make stuff for mugen btw, im not just a person that wants to database stuff)there are things that the beginners have mostly biggest desires to try and cant be found( i remember when i was one, I was having the time of my life trying characters and seeing how they looked running on the engine. which is probably one of the few things im grateful to in this community). while i might move on and give it up, i plan onto passing the torch to however wants to take over when that time comes. as for that time passes and people forget about characters and content, thats the main problem im trying to avoid

P.S. what ads?
the forum is ad free,(dont confuse me with sites that are money making operations) of course i would appreciate forum activity, but thats more or less to keep the database growing, nothing more.

meh... standard "I'm too cool for you" protection stance...
if you don't expect atomic bomb jokes, why call something "manhattan project"?

if you want real input, here it goes:

been there. done that. Countless of other people like you had the very same idea, and all of them degenerated into classic warehouses, since if a character was offline for 2 minutes due to intense traffic, most people already considered it enough to upload.

even your way with word is the same from the thousands of "warehousers", up to find a random forum member to play target with.

sorry bub, but you are just one more in the crowd. what you are doing ain't new at all and has been done to death.

but guess what: we (guild) don't care anymore. that is our official instance on the thing.

its your forum, its your rules. any problems with the characters thate are uploaded is up to you and the creator alone. that how it goes.

and thanks for thinking i have a cool avatar!
now... about the nuke... that might be a interesting approach to things. do you mean actual real life bombing of the servers or create a virtual nuke that will replace every image in mugen boards with pictures of KFM having sex with Suave dude while their girlfriend watches?

no. there is not typos on that last chance. and i'm talking about the concept characters by elecbyte, not the users who use those aliases.
well while i respect your opinion, it would be a bit rash to categorize something without giving it a chance(but you are entitled to your opinion)
and as for uploading something that has been down for 2 mins thing might happen. but as i said a takedown system is in place, its not meant to be a "fuck you" to creators.
the idea of the project is as i said before to avoid data loss.
a good example to cite is Testp's famous workfiles(they seem to be lost and nobody seems to have them)
the Manhattan project bit was made to make reference to what is an ambitious project(and yes i got the joke, i just replied your friendly jab, with another friendly jab)
a part of your reply seems to come off as aggressive, I really dont understand why.

not sure if this would be the right section for this but here it goes
this is a project me and other people started

I just wanted general input on the idea.
still before jumping to any conclusions, please bear in mind that the purpose of this idea isnt to warehouse but to prevent the loss of information
if you also would like to suggest any ideas or ammendments, please either post it on the link provided or here.
thanks for your time

Well after so much fuzz over this character i decided to give it a try
Its fun to play and I really dont see any gameplay faults(maybe she might play a bit faster than what people are used to, i guess)
Her A.I. seems a bit on the aggressive side, but if people dont want to go against her, its easy to set it so you dont have to face her.

All said and done, pretty fun character to play with but a bit on the aggressive side for the A.I.
I still do suggest people try her out and make their own mind about it.
