Animated portraits won't work for the select screen, only lifebars.

Well, I've seen P.o.t.s work, so I believe him.

Anyway, I would really like to use an image from the characters as portraits. I know I must use a copy of one of the images of each char, un-"share" it, and use the image as the '9000,1' portrait. But I am doing something wrong, because when I do it, the game gives me the '9000,0' as the portrait. And if not, the char's pallete works funny in the game.

I know I'm doing something wrong in this process, I just don't know what it is. Can you help?

The regular stand for starters (action 0 in the .air file).

But no matter what number I write, the regular portrait appears.

just open the system.def file and change it there.

This is what I've done:

;---------- Portrait Data ------------
title.offset = -500,-500
title.font = -1

;Portrait
p1.face.offset = 10,92
p1.face.anim = 1 ; p1.face.spr = 0,1
p1.face.facing = 1
p1.face.scale = 1.09,2
p2.face.offset = 629,92
p2.face.scale = 1.09,2
p2.face.facing = -1

...but nothing happens. What do I add after the "="?
 
(just thinking how cool it would be to see animation on the select screen...)  :laugh:

Hello!

Is there a way to alter the DEF system of the mugen to make it choose an image of a char, instead of the portrait (AKA make it choose sprite "1,1" instead of "9000,1"?

It seems it took a lot of hard work. The characters are unique. The stages are awesome! So I really look forward to playing it with all characters. SPECIALLY JASON!!! Perhaps Jason X is not so far away?  ;D

Too bad I can't take the chars out. That way I would get freddy to fight Venom. "He wants to eat your brain!" And he is no Zombie..

Looks nice.  Simple, but still has a lot of style. 
I don't have a chance to try it right now, but I like the look of it.

THIS IS THE YEAR OF MUGEN!    ;D

At least for me!  You see, I've been waiting for a New CVS Mai for a long time. This one I like, I tried her out, and this is what I found:

-She may need some upgrade in the AI department, but just a little.
-Her graphics are better quality, compared with other Mai's (sorry, but I say it as it is).
-Her bouncing technology seems to work fine...   :sweetheart:
-Best of all: If you want to remove her Groove bars, just add a ";" in the DEF file, like this:
                " ;st3 = cvs2_system.cns"

This is for the moment, I'm still checking her out,...the gameplay, I mean...   ;D

I've also checked Arremer, and it contains animations I have not seen on the other Arremer. Perhaps its from the same guy, only updated. Anyway, it's AI is awesome.

I have yet to check Vega(bison), and the others.

As you know, this is my opinion, you may differ from it.

I am Tiger-Boy, and I am pleased with the chars... so far... :smash:
