My mains are at the top, and subs are at the bottom, Subs being infrequent./less frequent characters.

Why Dark Pit? Because I'm an asshole. I didn't even play Pit in Brawl, or have plans to play him in Smash 4. Then Dark Pit happened and knew I had the equivalent of 2001 Mario Tennis Waluigi

Dunno if it's just me but Mega Man just feels clunky and...like he doesn't mesh. Not ineffective but not really fun either. I mean geez Charged Buster Shot being as mediocre as it is kind of disappoints me. If your moveset is going to be projectiles at least let the charged ones go somewhere D=.

Link feels way better in this game, though.

So those theories about WIIU TRANSFER exclusives are looking SUPER LEGITIMATE right?

These trophies are proof of why speculation just to speculate is a stupid concept in itself.

Missile only has a hitbox when it's moving. When it's standing still you can run right through and whack him. Down Aerial A is a decent approach but I prefer Nair as it is the standard Mario approach. Trust me you'll like Nair more with Doc as unlike Mario's, Doc's(as confirmed by gameplay notes on Smashboards) gets stronger the longer it's held.

Do note my throw tip applies to higher percents. Low percents are a basic rule of D-Throw into Up-Tilt all the time baybeh

If you need any more Mario tips or you're up for Mario discussion and theory, you can PM me and we can go from there even! I've got plenty to talk about for our crusader of justice.

Mario v. Villager, from my experience, is very simple. Difficulty in scoring a kill yes, but I think the matchup weighs in on Mario being able to control the pace of the match very well. Villager doesn't have a lot to keep Mario away from him, and when Mario gets in he can do nasty stuff. D-throw to Up-Tilt doesn't work a lot, I advise D-Throw to Short Hop forward Uair and see what you can do after that.

Mario v. Villager is probably 6-4 in Mario's favor, with the main opposition being Villager's potential stage control if he sets up, and his ridiculous recovery. But if you're diligent and you Bair him enough, you'll eventually kill the bastard. Or you could bait him into a Down angled FSmash if he tries to Up+b into the ledge.

Yes I need a better hobby.

I got a code from a friend.

My overall thoughts, it's great, BUTTT
- Blast zones are really big so practice your off-stage edgeguarding!
- Really hard to kill

Other than that, gameplay wise it's like if Brawl felt more rewarding to play. Give it a whirl...

Right now Doc looks the most different to me of the three! No, really...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6E8cP4O90k

-His Up-B is much different from Mario's. Looks like it will be like Luigi's but without the big bang, so maybe it always does good damage?
- Up-B is at a very weird angle.
- When a streamer known as Hanayama streamed this game and unlocked Doc, he got beat a few times. He fell victim to Doc's Down Aerial, while it LOOKS like Mario's old one, it actually mirrored Luigi's when Hana got hit.

From this I can derive that Doc is old Mario + Doctor Mario's nuances from Melee + Luigi. Mario megamix.

I can't wait for Gema to unlock Doc and show us his Final Smash. I'm really looking forward to the swag levels

I think I'm ready for this game oh my god.

For the record he has Doc Tornado as a Down+B so the old Down Air is back. Long live Doc.

Man, I wish people weren't so testy about clones as if this isn't a thing in other games and it's all of a sudden a problem here?
tbh i don't think those same people are super excited when a clone character is introduced in a different fighting game
You see significantly less stink about it with Tekken, even SF. Maybe their vocal minorities aren't as vocal, but in general, when it comes to outside of Smash I find people are USUALLY(Decapre was a funny exception who turned out to play COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOL) pretty good about it. Smash has gotten a bit....overblown with it, especially when they inflate this "issue" to cosmic proportions and magically forget the other 40 characters.

But they're wasting slots!
To that I say whatever, Doctor Mario is incredibly nostalgic to me and I am personally glad he's back, alternate costume or not. Man, I wish people weren't so testy about clones as if this isn't a thing in other games and it's all of a sudden a problem here? Especially when you have 40 or so unique characters. Like holy crap, real games have real development times.

So, this was supposed to be out by next April Fools but I figured by then I wouldn't have the motivation to release something, and I recently finished with this, so he's about ready. I hope you guys enjoy regardless of the time of year, he is, like F-ZeRyo, dumb on purpose. I just hope I recaptured the magic(I think I did!)
I hope Scal doesn't mind, I put a lot of effort into this...a suspicious amount, really.

New one's only coming soon for Japan, sadly. We have to wait until 2015 and how far into it is still unannounced as well if I recall.

I don't consider it derailing when it's to prevent obnoxious behavior that might follow it, mayhaps? Sure it's off-topic but it's no different than a warning. But that's just me. Too late to change any of it now.

For the record I'm implying that this huge post should've been made in the actual release thread and not in the shit thread where nobody's gonna read it. Sure it would lack context but it's not going to get much attention or be taken very seriously HERE of all places beyond a few individuals. I don't condone the Chuchoryu thing going on but like, the best place to talk about it would be where it's actively happening outside of already trashed posts.
Are you bulimic or something?
No it's just one of those passing illnesses you get.

I think I'm allowed to make shitty posts in the SHIT thread. Now if you'll excuse me I'm emptying my stomach.

Being slow with good reach and hitboxes isn't a bad thing though. If he has really good aerials he'll be alright. I think.

If the cartridges are not region locked, you could probably play anything. But if they ARE region locked which I'm pretty sure they are, then you have to use the proper system from said region.
