well, i'm pretty sure you can't animate, but all you have to do is use their standing sprite ( an extra copy of it, preferably) and set its number to 9000,0. i think. or 9000,1 i dont remember.

Logitech PS2 styled controller. hard to get used to at first, since the top is bulky with those 3 shoulder buttons, pulling off the supers involving 2 buttons hard at first, but now i've gotten used to it. before i used a simple microsoft controller i found in my closet. 4 buttons, plus 2 shoulder buttons. it lacked an extra button for a start button though. now a days i still use both, mostly so a friend can use a controller if one comes over and plays mugen with me.

Lo-res, get it at my new site.
 ;)
Unlike the fools at Infinity, I take any and all criticism.

well thats not very nice....

anyway, i decided to take a look at this screenpack..

-well, the title screen looks a bit ugly. the background and the giant Earth sitting in the middle really don't match.
-the select screen looks ok, its got plenty of slots, and overall looks nice to me
-the life bars look great
-however, the music never seems to play.
-the data file included has alot of .bak and other backup files. i recommend you clean it up, or put it in a separate folder or something. all that clutter makes it a pain to navigate through.

overall, its ok. but it needs a bit of work imo. especially the main menu. it just looks cheaply thrown together.

just awesome! Deadpool is truly the funniest character i've seen. i'm laughing my ass off all over the place! corny lines, awesome moves? hell yes. and that super with the Ninja barrage? epic win right there. the only issue i find is that the ninja hyper sometimes doesnt work. itll start up, the green dude will run across the screen, but sometimes Deadpool doesnt get the "!" over his head, and the ninjas dont come.

EDIT:

-Light Kick hit spark seems a tad misaligned i think, the spark appears slightly below his knee.
-The palettes don't have every color done for his win pose where he appears huge on the screen. what i mean is, for example, with the blue palette, there is still a shade of red visible

the character will be available also separately after this release as stated on the main site
and yes,it`s an .exe file(which i`m finishing downloading ATM :sugoi:)

yea. and a few of them are already on the forum released as separate characters from the project. 2 great things about Mugen from what ive learned after being in it about half a year: customization, and full games like this.

also, the download it self is overloaded. of course, you can wait for mirrors, or you can just create an account for megaupload real quick and download, that worked for me. man, its a huge file. also, i heard from someone who finished the download that its an .exe file. so you cant take anything out of the game, for those who were hoping to do that (i refuse to use the term "leech")

im pretty sure controls for said rolling and air recovery are probably different for each character/creator. i dont think theres a "standard" for the controls for everyone having those. i could be wrong though.

open up the character's .cns file

Code:
[Size]
xscale = 1           ;Horizontal scaling factor.
yscale = 1           ;Vertical scaling factor.
ground.back = 25     ;Player width (back, ground)
ground.front = 17    ;Player width (front, ground)
air.back = 15        ;Player width (back, air)
air.front = 13       ;Player width (front, air)
height = 85      ;Height of player (for opponent to jump over)
attack.dist = 160    ;Default attack distance
proj.attack.dist = 90 ;Default attack distance for projectiles
proj.doscale = 0     ;Set to 1 to scale projectiles too
head.pos = 3, -89   ;Approximate position of head
mid.pos = -3, -57    ;Approximate position of midsection
shadowoffset = 0     ;Number of pixels to vertically offset the shadow
draw.offset = 0,0    ;Player drawing offset in pixels (x, y)

and find the [Size] area. change the x and y scaling to make the character bigger. note that making a character bigger will make it more "blocky" also, make sure to keep it proportionate. if you change only the y and not the x for example, the character will be really really skinny

well, as for the select screen, not too organized. when i add a new character, i try to place it generally near characters of the same origin (street fighter, megaman, mario, etc. etc.) as for my chars folder...well, i was bored one day...
Its helpful for quick glancing through...it took a long time though

the pink should be on the bottom right corner of the palette. check that first.

also, its ok for the transparency color to show up in fighter factory. did you test run it in mugen? if not, do that. if it shows up in mugen, then you new to do what i said. check to make sure that its on the bottom right. that should take care of your issue.

typed "Primal Rage" on youtube, looking for stuff related to that, and stumbled upon a Talon/Vertigo vs Subzero/Scorpion mugen battle. did a wikipedia search, and read about it. i misinterpeted things, and thought all characters had to be made yourself. at the time, i thought. "too much work" this was about a year ago. recently, i remembered it, and gave it a try, and realized that you could download characters...been a fan since, and even got my own in the works. thanks, Primal Rage fanboyism :D

The screenpack is cool and all, and I love the overall design, but still... how many characters and/or stages can it hold is the question.  There are no screenshots of the character select or anything else.  I bring this up because there is going to be someone else who may think about that in choosing a screenpack.

well the video from the link shows the select screen. i counted about 24 slots.

i looked at him a bit in Fighter Factory:

-like it was mentioned above, the axis needs to be placed at his feet. it looks close, but hes still floating a little.

- i also noticed your palettes are messed up. to get the palette to apply on every image, you need to set every image to "shared palette" otherwise the change only applies to the small portrait. also, the palettes themselves are a tad messed up, one shade of green is still visible.

- a few CLSNs are missing in his running back animation, which, looks awkward by the way. i recommend you open those sprites in an image editing program and mirror them. better he walks facing away from them than to face them while looking like he walks forward.

-his guns aren't treated as projectiles, rather a long punch, with a huge attacking clsn. i dunno if thats a good idea, i can't comment there. just thought i'd add that.

thats all i got. im fairly new and working on my first character too. just take your time and dont make an official release till you're sure hes done  ;)

the things he planned were truly amazing. while i am new to mugen and its community, its not hard to see what Reu tried and succeeded in. he truly pushed the engine to the limits, with actual 3D models like that.

you can try Cyanide's Narutorials. it explains at least the basics in simple to understand terms. though it won't explain everything, it only covers preparing the sprites, adding them, etc. and coding a few punches.

guys, i think what he means is customizing the slot placement and number of slots, like for easier doing than editing the box size, distance between them, etc.

like if theres slots organized like

XXXX
XXXX

it means moving them, or copying them, like so

XXXXX
XXX    XXX

etc.
