I'm sorry, I meant progress on Asura in this thread, like some progress reports on what you are doing to make "the next version..better and the next better till close to perfect", wutever that means... all I really want to see from this thread is some kind of promise, and so you don't get confused I meant the definition:  Indication of something favorable to come, out of this Asura WIP thread. Such as a feedback list, where you might indicate what you have done so far to fix said problems listed by many people here who would like to see this character in mugen, and those that would like to see that you are listening and not just releasing another beta/alpha with the same problems this "early beta/alpha" has... and it might be hard to for you to do this, but it would be favorable, and seeing as how you can reply to my last post, means at least you're reading.. but wutever, I give up..

You know, Alex, I'd like to see some actual proof that you're making the improvements you say you are.  Not just telling us that "it'll be fixed, don't worry".

I have to agree, I've been waiting to see some progress on Asura for a while now and so far... nothing specific. Just the blank & empty response of, "Time will tell" and "good things are near". Because if you're not going to post anything substantial, your posts might as well be, "Did some work on Asura today." or "I am doing heavy corrections and removing moves such as supers and specials until he is ready for them." and nothing else....which just tells me you're not doing anything but posting nonsense.. some screenshots or even some "feedback fixes" would be appreciated. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but how/why did this thread turn into a Asura/Dante WIP thread?? I thought Asura was the main focus, but it seems like it isnt anymore...

dude i hear you ,
all im saying is this is early and give it time im going to acress changes like i have today.
made alot of adjustments
since the parry i felt was the move that really tipped the balance i removed it 100%.
also getting rid of the telelport in its current form to be more like a normal akuma style evasion. the unfair links he was able to do have been nerfed.
and on the weekend i can get on the new hitboxes.
for now i will do what i should have done was release him without any supers, or specials.
and rework the other stuff fresh.

It isnt much, but it's a start. Now you need to go back into this thread and LISTEN to all the feedback posted about SPECIFIC problems with this Asura, and then you need to start FIXING those SPECIFIC problems.

Also, would it hurt to post what you have fixed, instead of posting something bland like that?
I'd like to know what you are doing to address these issues.

But I digress, it would be benificial to you if you re-started this Asura from scratch.
Make him a basic character first, then you can have "fun" with him.
When you reuse that Gouken template of yours, it leaves in unwanted bugs and is the main cause of all your scorn here.
You can keep the parry in,just be sure it works properly.Just my opinion.

I would still like to see from you what exactly out of all these 20+ pages of feedback you are going to change with this Asura.To vaguely say "Take the Boss aspect away" doesnt tell anybody much of anything. Maybe a detailed list of all the things you will fix with this character will help us give you better feedback... This is a Project thread afterall, and we want to know what you're going to be doing with this project..

What I think everyone here would like is for the next post of Alexlexus to be
one that lists all the feedback given, followed by a "I will fix all these"
And not one where he lists his reasons for not following said feedback,
but one where he understands what needs to be fixed.

I was gonna list all the feedback I could find...
But there's just so much that needs to be done before this Asura can even be called
a beta..
so if anyone else wants to make a simple list for him to follow, that would be cool.
 
On topic:
It's not fun at all to fight a broken character's AI.
It's should not be enjoyable to watch other people fight a broken character's AI.

Feedback isnt pretty, but at least its here.In all honesty I think everyone would
like to see you become a better creator.I just wish you would actually listen to the feedback

Imagine how awesome your Asura would be if you started it from scratch.
Or even went through these 20+ pages of feedback, wrote down the feedback, and started Fixing
these problems that ARE obviously there, and not going away.
I understand youre accustom to a certain type of gameplay of your own, but
this gameplay is seriously broken, even for a boss type character.
What Asura needs is to be cleaned up.And what Asura needs is for its creator to listen
to the feedback from other creators.Otherwise, there's no need to think of yourself as anything
more than a Troll yourself...

But I think everything that can be said about Asura has been said, Alex isnt listening and this topic needs to be locked.

Thanks! I appreciate it. There were still a few things bothering me about both versions of the stage, so I updated them slightly in the link above.Fixed the offset for the boardwalk stage, and tweaked the Ice stage as well (made the water more blue and fixed some anims).ENJOY!!!

I'd probably go with a different floor. The DKC2 ice floor (why is it trans'd?) looks out of place in the environment the stage uses.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but I was just editing an edit that originally used the Ice floor, trying to keep it like the original, and even though styles/BGs clash, I've grown to like it. Its trans cause I added a bottom layer that "flickers" just a little (tried to give it a shining ice feel).IF I get the time, I'll make a Board walk Floor later, Thanks again!

Decided to add a little more to this Ryu edit, I left the old version up..but this newer edit has a few New things, such as a Hyper BG and New Port, along with some fixes I mentioned in the spoiler on page 1...ENJOY!!

I've recently been trying to add a CFAS style BG with the Glass Break to my Ryu edit using this:

And it works well, but I also want to trigger the Glass Break when Ryu gets hit out of his Super. I tried adding a trigger1 = movetype = H, but nothing happens..IS there a way I can trigger this explod when Ryu gets hit using the same code above?
