Update: added some characters as templates... dont mind the KOF characters. went back to the 1st bg with the updated cards.

From the look of it no one has been working on a SF4 screenpack so i figured i would make one, all of my other projects have gotten way to complex i figured i would make a simpler one. But i need help. There is only full large pictures of SF4 characters and i need small select portraits, i do not want to use the large ones cropped. What style art should i use? can someone help out. If you can make professional portraits w/o borders and they follow a constant flow and i use them i will release the SP to you 2 weeks before anyone else as well as give you credit in the NFO.  i am looking for them to be high res.  Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: added Title screen

I am trying to keep a more cartoonish feel. but for some characters there is no artwork in that style. So im trying to keep it as close as possible.

When i approach an idea first and foremost i think "do i personally think it is a good idea?" "would i want to play it and would it be fun?" That is the most important thing . If you think it will be fun and you will enjoy it, it don't matter what every one else thinks. When you ask about others opinions before you take the initial step it sways your own creativity, you might look at someones comments and think "ok this is not a good idea?" and or "ok i should change that?" and you then alter your idea.

Read up, practice and then start something then ask  "what do you think of what i already have?"  Trust me this is the better way. Take it from someone who has started allot of Mugen work and has scrapped allot of good stuff simply because i keep practicing and i always change things because of user comments. Set a goal and do what ever it takes to get that goal achieved.

Just remember at some point we were all beginners, we all had ideas. that is why we studied and practiced because we also had a vision. You can do the same. Read every tutorial you can find and take a screen pack you like and use fighter factory and see how every piece of that screen pack works. Start easy and work up from there.

Nice.
Has a great background and a very interesting twist to portraits. gj
Menu could use some tweaks, the white overlay doesn't cover the entire background effects, this can be fixed by editing the effect sprites or the overlay sprite.
The logo being under the effects doesn't seem to work well here.

As I typed the below message I realized the 256 color limitation so it might render it useless.
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

well ahead of ya on that one i thought of that a while ago. that actually might be implemented in this screen.

there is no doubt i could change the way the entire pack looks but that was not my intention. It is not my work and honestly i like the way it was but the green looked WAY to intense for me. If i get permission to change the entire pack i will, but until then i will not destroy what has already been made. Because in order to make the game exactly like the original but with a different look i would need to use the original coding and i don't think it is open source.  ill see if i can get permission.
