All these updates are lovely but I'm starting to get confused as to whether or not I have the newest version each day!

I think I'll leave it a week or so before downloading again. But I WILL download again.
I showed this character to a non mugen fan who loved CvS Yun and he says he is going to start playing mugen because of this creation.

That Yang palette is outrageously good Vash. More quality palettes by MFFA newest master.

I find it amazing that you didn't make any palettes before starting this project!
I thought everyone started in mugen by doing palettes. Good to see I'm not correct when we see quality characters like this one.

im a hype dude and I need a hyper play style so I dont care if people dont like im still going to make and I've met great people in the process so I am thankfull for that.

If you like hyper characters maybe you could try Muteki's GuiltyGear characters.

Great release by the way.

I don't think you should class yourself as a leecher if you intend to create. Welcome to the engine though mate.

Great job on the edit, first off! I likes ;). I  have found a lot of damned good characters that cover all aspects, but honestly, nowhere near 400 =\. No way. I do have separate 'houses' for groups of characters (It feels kinda wank to me looking at the same screen pack; if I'm going to play/watch MUGEN, I want to spice that shit up some my own way). I won't flame people who're down with 600+ charas, though; how can anyone on this board has the say of how many charas someone should have on their roster anyway =P. If there are that many badass characters some people have found, then Mr Steve, you should definetly feel like you've contributed to the community. Haters'll always hate lmao. Thank you for the pack!

This is the sort of feedback every creator/editor likes to read! Thanks for the support mate.
My next screenpack is going to be an original and will come in 3 flavours. 1 with 100 or so slots, 1 with 500ish and a silly one for the collectors with 10000 or more.
Everyone can be happy with that surely?

I've personally only got about 150-200 characters. Played as everyone at least a few times.
I don't see the point of collecting for the sake of collecting. I'd play more Pokemon if I did, not mugen. But if people want to treat it as a collect em up rather than a beat em up its up to them.
And now they can do it with a good looking screenpack :P

Who the fuck uses around 600 chars?
People who download the same characters.

Or people who like different versions of characters.
I believe that no one plays with all the characters they download, but its always nice to have a huge variety of opponents to do battle against.
I don't see why its such a problem for people when people collect characters. If a creator makes them available why not take them?
I suppose you think I shouldn't have downloaded Warusaki's characters or PotS's creations? That must make me a collector now.
If you're going to bitch about people collecting characters maybe you should only use material you've created yourself?

Having read the rules concerning this section I have decided to release my personal edit of the Coruscation screenpack made originally by Ziltama.
If you want me to remove the link, Ziltama, just ask. I did try to contact you concerning its release or non release but you haven't got back to me.

If like me you love Ziltama's screenpack but you want a few more slots then you can use this. It has 594 slots in total.

It requires mugen plus which is available at randomselect.

The most anyone will ever need is 350. 500 is just too much. :P And since you modded it a little to 500+ chars, what's the fuckin point for a hi-res select screen when you can barely see the portrait?

Thats your opinion and you are welcome to it, but if someone wants to put hundreds of characters into their mugen using a very sexy screenpack then this is it.
Just because you think having so many characters is wrong, doesn't mean it is wrong.
I don't think that my edit has the character slots too small but maybe MaxBeta's is on the cusp of losing clarity. But thats my opinion. You may all think that they both look crap but I personally don't care. I made my edit for me. If anyone else likes it, great, if not, I don't care.

I reckon you could get that to fit over a thousand quite easily. If I run out of space on mine ever, I'll swap to yours and make some edits!

If you guys notice the preview pic I posted earlier you'll see that the selection slots are not transparent, but solid black...This issue has now been fixed to make the interior of the slots transparent so you can see the sparks in the background. :sugoi:

Still waiting for Ziltama's reply to the email I sent him...I'll keep you guys posted.

I did notice that problem. Didn't want to say because it was the only thing that looked a bit better on mine!
If you were to make the gap between cells 1 or 0 how many more columns and rows could you fit in?

I also made my own edits. I can hold 594 characters. Yours does look very nice MaxBeta. Better looking than mine I reckon.

Well thank you...yours is not bad at all mrsteve81. I simply shrunk a few sprites from the original system.sff file down to 25% and added them to the sff file with their own numeric values. Then I tweaked the system.def file to these new values and x,y coordinates and presto. Anyone with a few smarts up their sleeve could do it.

Took me about 3-4 hours in total. The hardest part was deciding when I had enough slots! I'm a member of MFFA so I know how many characters some people can have.

Why do you need space for 500+ chars?
I mean, no sane person needs so damn many chars :P

I completely agree Anjel. But I as well as Max had seen complaints about too few slots. So we took it upon ourselves to edit the best screenpack around and make a special collector edition.

My goodwill? But I think you stole the palette.
Just say sorry and this will all be forgotten. If you sign up at MFFA do you not think you are going to get more of this sort of thing there?

If you made the palette yourself why don't you tell us all how you came up with the various colours?

Does Gouken come with the Tropicana palette?

i take it yes seeing as how i gave it to alex and he always updates gouken

also steve since u saw it first you know i had it done 4-5 months ago and it says in the pm to alex that i sent it to him but a few weeks be4 he updated gouken again

I have not downloaded Gouken for a while. However I have now downloaded both your palette and this "new" one by tity and they are the same.
There is no way this is coincidence.
Give the man his props tity, you tit.

Does Gouken come with the Tropicana palette?
I was one of the first people to see Vash's idea over at MFFA and how he came up with the colours. I know that every one of those colours is that colour for a reason. If tity is using the exact same colours then its theft. If not it could possibly be coincidence.

@Bahamut. Maybe stealing a palette isn't as serious as stealing a character but its still stealing.

And all your other pals are too bright. Tone down your colours or epileptics may die.
It could be coincidence Vash, but it is very similar indeed. Just not done as well.
