MVC styled was the plan from beggining, what you think?

i like mvc but either or is fine all depends on what you want
I'm working on an MVC style sprited Megaman X. Your Zero looks like it's going to be awesome when it's finished. I can't wait until you release your Zero and I finish my Megaman X. So they can tag team. :)

http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=140387.40

I hope you finish your Zero and forget about X until your work on Zero is finished. Then if you don't mind, perhaps you can help me finish my Megaman X project. :)

If you are a good spriter and want to join in on this project, feel free to message or just say so in a post right here. If you join, you'll be given credit for your work and be known as part of the team that set a new standard for Mugen Megaman X and potentially creating an open sourced base for all future reploid creations.

Wall Climb (Hold Back during Wall Slide+Press appropriate direction of the wall. For Example: Hold back+Left to climbing left wall)
Roll (Hold Down+Forward or Backward, depending on direction you want to travel

During Wall Slide:
Punch
Kick
Buster Shot
Jump Off Wall will transition into a regular air state, which will allow him to perform default air attacks (punches, kicks, specials, etc)

This is an open source project, the only conditions being that no one uses any part of this character for closed source characters or hentai characters. If any part of this character is used for a character, consider that character now open source. The material in this project is for open source projects only!

Does anyone want to help me finish spriting this character?

I just need a few specials, some sprite adjustments for some animations and a couple super combos/hyper combos.

the only thing that annoys me is his speed, its quite slow, but other than that, he seems great. i dont know how to change modes to venom and carnage though  :(
Changing modes is explained in the Read Me file last time I checked. You can do it by simply using the Venom palette and Carnage palette. The same goes for the other modes.

Classic beat'em up style. Many newbies who perfer button mashing will enjoy this character. Me, on the other hand, perfer tactical movesets.
Yeah, I'm a newb. So I need the classic beat 'em up style. For you, please download the "No Button Mashing CMD" and use it for my character. It takes away the button mashing. ;)
hey, button mashing is not a bad idea. I really like it, i really do. Few creators are able to incorporate button mashing as good as this
Thanks, that's really touching, man. I really appreciate it.

i haven't tried it since your patches, and I don't think I will.
I'll be blunt.

I didn't like it. It was almost the same as normal spider-man, almost all the same attacks. He had a few difficult-to-activate symbiote style moves that although looked very interesting and creative, were way overpowered and hit like 39 times.

Nothing wrong with you as a creator or anything, nothing personal. just wasn't a fan.
Lol, a symbiote style move that hit like 39 times? Holy shit, his strongest super combo, Symbiote Nightmare, only hits his opponent 21-25 times whenever I try it. Hell, I'm impressed that you got it to hit so many times.

Also, regardless of how many hits each attack lands, the damage has definitely been more balanced out. I ask for feedback so that I can fix the problems of the character. The updates reflect the feedback. You probably won't listen to me, but I'm sure you will like the most up to date version better than the first patch.

I'm very happy to hear that you think some of the symbiote moves I created looked interesting and creative. Well, thanks for your opinion. It's always appreciated.  :)

As usual, I'd like to hear your opinions regarding the latest update on Symbiote Spider-Man (Ultimate).

Please let me know if you find any:
1. Coding glitches
2. Seriously uncomfortable custom attack commands
3. Attacks that may not be working the way they should (excluding the standard light, medium and heavy spider sting)
4. Spriters that are willing to assist me on this project before late May of 2009
5. Coders that are willing to assist me on this project before late May of 2009
6. Missing necessary attacks

Please contribute/share any ideas for improving this character (normal attacks, specials, supers, throws, taunts, intros)

Well i know that you could try asking around in the creator assistance in this forum its pretty good back when I had my laptop I remember someone teaching me how to do a simple edit on a character of course this character was never released because there was nothing great about it. but for simple things like slowing ppl's movement down ppl will help If you ask nicely enough
I got help on this already. Thanks for the advice.

nope
Okay, then I will add ACEY to the credits in the readme file in the next update. I have also finally found a way to contact her and have sent him a message, making him aware of my progress and my plans for this character.

Edit: I have some bad news, ACEY does not want part of this project due to the drama regarding this character in the past and perhaps current drama it may create during this time. Regardless, he will still be given credit for his spriting work on this character and will not be unknown.

I have a suggestion I like how you did ice mode and I think you should do that with all the palettes. what I mean is to have pros and cons for each of the palettes. it would make a lot of sice because it would seem logically everyone should choose iron spiderman. why choose anything else he seems over all best.

for example:
iron spriderman pros: 20% more defense and strength
                     cons:40% slower movement
I havent thought of any others right now but if you need me to the pm me and I will see what I can do
I have no idea how to slow down the movement or else I would have. If you know how, I'd really like some help with that. Is there a thread somewhere around here where someone already asked how to slow down the movement?

Also, I want Carnage mode to have super armor, but I am nowhere near experienced enough in coding to do that. Is anyone around here willing to do the code for me?

ACEY sprites
and sei isn t difficult to contact she has a forum:
http://z6.invisionfree.com/Marvel_The_Outsider/index.php?s=73fdea12dd87fbdc0ea427613a752b2f&act=idx
That link seems to be broken....  :-\

Also, isn't ACEY the same as SS5Ace or acglass?

THAT S funny that you ask some help on this character because you could ask the original creators what they need.  --;
when i read the readme i was surprised you didn t name the two authors of the sprites.
SPRITES that still need to be updated IN YOUR VERSION, and they have been since then.
I gave credit to as many people as I could. I tried searching for Sei, but haven't found her. If anyone would like to give me her email or something to contact her with, I'd be more than willing to ask her for updated sprites.

The following authors were mentioned in the credits!

-Credits-

Sethzankuten - Original sound rips, sprites, programming
SS5ACE - Sprites, beta Testing, ideas
Sei - New Symbiote Animations
acglass - additional symbiote sprites & programing for the original symbiote & iron spider <---Modes were remade by empawk, but use the same sprites

Why doesn't Maximum Spider work, bro? It's one of the staples of any Spidey's arsenal, and you've got it in the readme.
Is it there and incorrect or is it nonexistant? I've seen the artificial intelligence use it before.  :-\

If it's not there, I'll be sure to add it in the next update. I was told earlier that he was missing his Maximum Spider special before, which confused me, but perhaps that person meant to say his hyper/super combo. *smacks own forehead* Sh--!  :o

Edit: It turns out that it had been there before, but it had accidentally been deleted during one of the updates. I have re-installed Maximum Spider, but the next update probably won't be for another week or so.
