Yeah you see...what does it mean by HD resolution exactly. I mean my Pentium 4 @ 3.00 GHz just played HD Mugen nicely (takes more power than Hi-res Mugen). Sure there's a lot of loading times between it booting up and in character selection, but the gameplay ran at 60 fps easily. Unless the version of HD Mugen you speak of is something akin to the new KoF game, Street Fighter HD Remix or BlazBlue then I don't see how a Core Duo is needed at all. A Core Duo on the CPU Benchmark is in the 700-1000 range and the P4 I described is a 490 rating.

...I have one for FOTNS characters and Street Fighter characters in HD. I know for a fact it's more detailed than Hi-res Mugen. Meh, either way since you don't know what I'm talking about. :(

Alright, now how about HD Mugen (little better than Hi-res)? ;D

How much RAM? Is 2GB enough?

And I was asking about regular old Hi-res Mugen, a Hi-res Mugen I've had for over 2 years. Can the Intel GMA 3150 handle it in terms of graphics?

Processing speed is out of the question. I know I have what it takes as far as processing speed goes.

I regret if this has already been asked, though post/topic searching for video card requirements for Hi-res Mugen as well as HD Mugen got me no answer I wanted, so that's my question. As far as the Video Card Benchmarks, here:

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php

What is pretty much the minimum requirement to play Hi-res Mugen? How about HD Mugen? Can the Intel GMA 3150 Express handle them, for example? It has a rating of 69 in the Video Card Benchmarks.

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+GMA+3150+Express

The computer in question also has a total RAM of 2GB (it says 2GB, although can be expanded to 4GB).

Where it says "Example: plugin" or where it says "plugin" underneath "Example: plugin" in the cfg file?

I guess this is a plug-in problem.

Which plug in do I need for this again? This was for a music file for a stage. The music file ends with .ogg

Also do I have to to something in the mugen.cfg file for this?

Wow...I just ported over my mugen from my old laptop to this one...the mugen that is WORKING on my old laptop, JUST ported it over to my new one and the same shit is happening. I didn't alter this in the least...is it because this is Windows 7 and the other is Windows Vista? Wierd. I'll just try and build up Mugen from scratch with the same character/stages/music fold etc.

Oh God...THIS is the only reply here?

Come on people, please tell me what could be wrong...I know the song files are supposed to work. They're in the sound folder, and the stage files are associated with the songs since I've checked. JUST WHAT could be preventing the song files from playing!?!?!

It isn't a volume issue. I hear the character voices and their moves and blows...but not the music...

I mean damn, I simply transfer my computer data over from my old laptop to my new one, not editing anything except maybe the "motif = data/system.def" part of the mugen.cfg file (which actually fixed a previous problem which was preventing from mugen opening up at all) and editing a character's command file, and now, for some reason, none of the music files for stages play anymore...

How does that have ANYTHING to do with what I did? And my old laptop plays the music files nicely. In fact, I have three mugens that I currently use. The old standard low-res mugen, which is playing the stage song files fine on the new laptop, and two other mugens. However those two, my Hi-res Mugen and the version of Mugen that plays both low-res stages and hi-res stages (they blow up the low-res stages to fit the screen) do not play stage music files for some f*cking reason. I don't know what's going to fix this, since I doubt I did anything that should stop it from playing stage song files. This is awkward and retarded.

Does MUGEN Work on Windows 7?

Apologize if this has been already asked, as I searched "windows seven" for topics and got no results...

So does this work on Windows 7 or not? I feared that it might not but thought if it's going to work on Vista...then it will DEFINITELY work on Windows 7 since I heard it has a lot of Windows XP functionality...well I'm trying MUGEN out now, and it's not working...

What's the deal?

Thanks.

Someone would be solving a problem I've had for 2+ years...problems actually. They're mentioned.

If no one can help on that, can I request for Ryu's Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix stage? I heard it was out, saw it in videos, but can't seem to spot it. I've only found Balrog's.

Wow that was fast. I made an edit to my post you may want to read it now, you may not.

So your friend made these vids? And sure those are personal AI tweaks? If so then forget my entire requests, cuz I ain't learning how to tweak AI's, unless it's easy, lol.

Also if no one minds helping me with this, since I tried all that I can regarding Order Sol's volume. For some reason, when I lower his volume, his noise volume dramatically goes down more than his voice, so I cannot hear any of his noise without his voice being so damn loud. Is any of what I'm saying ring a bell at all? Is there in ANY way a method that can edit a characters voice volume AND his noise volume?

This is the option in one of his cns files (since he has many) that allows both his noise and voice volume to increase or go down: volume = 255

However, in the same cns file, and in 7 others, he has literally HUNDREDS of the following text: volume = helper(10000),var(4)

All of these hundreds are the same...and I don't think any of these have an effect on the volume you hear, but if they do correct me. I'm not so sure what all these "volumes" are doing in 7 different cns files for Sol. I don't see why all of them can't just be simple and have 1, or 2 volume options for him.

Wow...someone's actually doing that? Holy...crap...it's so hard to believe people can be that good. Anyway, you mentioned an AI for Sol of some sort. Can you clue me in on where to get this? I've searched for a long time for one. Also, I just watched that again and woah...there's just no way. He even did the 3 hit super, right when he got up, somehow knowing instantly that Justice was going to be vulnerable right at the moment he started the super? He must have had to know this the instant Justice started doing the move since that's pretty much the only time when he could catch him with the super at the moment, yeah no, that's just unbelievable. That's computer reaction time, not human, then again most of what sol is doing doesn't seem like a human is controlling it, but I'd like to know what part of that is human.

I think he is controlling them where he puts (Me) in the title, and I've seen those. The sol is noticeably different. The one that impressed me the most is when he fought Potemkin, but he just spammed grabs on him the whole time, somehow. I don't know how on level EIGHT he is able to spam grabs, I am fortunate enough to even make one grab to a lvl 5 GG character. I think there's a difference between "Holy Order Sol (boss mode)" and just "Order Sol" ill look this up, wish me luck...

Hi. Can someone provide the download to the boss version of order sol by Akutagawa, basically this order sol has an insanely nice AI, as shown in the following old video:

http://www.livevideo.com/video/D4D8DE8F631E44F29F04CBED1DAB3B32/holy-order-sol-vs-justice.aspx

The user who uploaded the video (any many similar ones) is most likely some sort of ass. I sent him requests just so he can freaking tell me how he got AI's for his Sol. Has not responded for almost 2 years now. Loser.

I know someone around here knew what this was hence the following: http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=86154.0 old also but still.

Please tell me ONE person here knows where this is from. I don't understand, Sol is practically one of the coolest most badass mugen characters, and is hi/low-res compatible, yet people last year never responded when I asked for this version of order sol (what makes this version stand out is the obviously insane AI).

I've searched  last year, and did a search just now.

Yeah that's the thing, despite the vorbis plugin I just listed as one that I have, my .ogg music files did not work for the main screen and character selection screen. STILL says it can't open the file.

Which sucks.

I know this is a huge bump, but I was truly wondering something.

Ok, if you are like me, the first thing you do when you get a mugen character is decrease their volume...so as to make it on level with the music volume.

However with order sol, it seems, I cannot lower his voice volume without DRASTICALLY lowering his SE volume (to the point you can't hear any swing, or hits, from him at all) SE volume is the noise he makes with his weapons, his clothes, and all that. The only thing I can hear from sol is his voice.

However, I will mention there are two CNS files called o-sol1 and o-sol2, that have the "volume = " in them.

However I edited these and it seems o-sol1 has no effect on volume in any way and it is only o-sol2 that makes any difference.

The last thing I have to say is, in my order sol folder there are many CNS files, many of which have HUNDREDS of entries of the following:

"volume = helper(10000),var(5)"

I personally do not think these have any effect on the volume heard from Order Sol, especially since the "volume = " in o-sol1 couldn't do anything.

Though if someone would like to help me on this and knows what I'm talking, that would be awesome. Thanks.

Music Files and Plugins

I think Mugen plays the music files it basically has plugins for.

For some reason, stage mp3's play 99% of the time, whereas my title screen and character vs mp3's play 5% of the time...what gives?

Also is it true that mp3's work good or bad depending on the screen pack you have installed? GGX Heaven or Hell is shit when it comes to my mp3's playing. This problem does not exist with my other screenpacks and definitely not the default Mugen one.

As for my title screen and character vs (which do not work regardless of the screenpack) this is what I have in my Data -> system.def
__________

[Music]
 ;Put a filename for a MOD, MP3 or MIDI here, or just leave it
 ;blank if you do not want music. If an invalid filename is
 ;given, then no music will play. To play CD audio, put
 ;the track number followed by ".da". For example, to play
 ;track 3 from a music CD at the title screen, use:
 ;  title.bgm = 3.da
 ;To play mymusic.mp3 from the sound/ directory, put:
 ;  title.bgm = sound/mymusic.wma
 ;Music will continue to play between screens if the files names
 ;are the same, and both BGMs are specified to loop.
  ;Music to play at title screen.
title.bgm = BNW.wma
title.bgm.loop = 1        ;Set to 0 to prevent looping
  ;Music to play at char select screen.
select.bgm = Iron_blood.wma
select.bgm.loop = 0
  ;Music to play at versus screen.
vs.bgm =
vs.bgm.loop = 1
__________

Is there anything wrong? Plugins I have are in_mad.dll, in_adx.dll, in_mp3.dll, in_mp3pro.dll, in_psf.dll, in_qsf.dll, in_snes.dll, in_vorbis.dll, and libmad.dll

I also wonder if Mugen plays FLAC files...

DOS Mugen, Mugen Plus, Macs and Windows Vista

Did decent searching on these topics but could not get clear answers. Actually threads about these were made but not much help was given.

I'm deciding between getting a macbook (mac laptop/notebook) and a Dell Windows Vista one, so I considered my mugen.

I have Hi-res mugen on my dell desktop which runs XP. I am importing all my data from there to either my future dell laptop or macbook.

1. So, I heard DOS Mugen is just what Mugen used to be and no longer exists. Is this right?

2. Then I heard about Mugen Plus which, from what I've read is basically mugen and hi-res mugen in one package: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5e9YB4ZpVi4

3. Does Hi-res Mugen or Mugen Pro work on Macs? As I'm not interested in the original low-res mugen.

4. And do they work on Vista.

I've been doing many google searches and got many mixed answers. I thought here would be the best place to ask.

Thanks. ;D
