Oh, MME? I haven't heard about that one before.

While River City Batman waits to become a fighter I decided to create the sprites for another character.
The River City Hulk!

Guess it will take some time before I can make the character. Can't get any working version of Fighter Factory nor Mugen Character Creator. -_-

What is this error? Violation something something with Fighter Factory.

I've finaly learned how to make palets and how to add character sprites and what to do with them and all that.
I had managed around half of my sprites when I suddenly got bombarded with Access Violation errors, something about .Def.
What's the meaning of the errors? And is the Mugen fighter creation-thingy more stable?

You could attempt the tutorials on my webpage. But if you're not getting it yet, there is no easy. Just re-read and play round with what the tutorials tell you.

And by that i don't mean try once then ask questions. I mean try until you get it. I took a random portrait and fiddled with it for about an hour to understand how to correctly add a sprite into MCM and then get a pallete applied to it.

Right! Cheers mate. =)

I've read the tutorial here on the forum on how to make a character but I still don't quite get it. I think I need a really dumbed down explanation on how to make all those sprites into a character. I've downloaded Fighter Factory and I don't understand anything. >_>

u shuld continue these they look pretty kool

The River City Ransom remakes? Yeah, I'm revamping all the sprites, just finished the sheet for Batman^^
I don't think it will take too long for him to become a working character, and when he is done he will be put up for grabs.

I've decided to go with graphics from River City Ransom that I will revamp. Simple and quick to make nice fighters. Atleast I think so.

Say hello to River City Batman, my latest creation.^^

REQUEST - River City Ransom Advance Sheet.

Requesting a spritesheet from River City Ransom Advance, one with just Alex will suffice. Would be good if it contained items etc.
Or a spritesheet from River City Ransom for the NES would be nice too. As long as it's not broken. Seen alot of sheets out there with pieces missing, like a leg or an arm, etc.

Also, a somewhat related question. Is there any way to stretch out small sprites without distorting them?

Hm, perhaps I could cut them up into bodies, over arms, under arms etc etc and then simply put them back together to form new poses? Could that work and if are there any special programs for doing it?^^

Oh, I do enjoy it, I've made smaller edits. it's just a bit Frigthening seeing the Hulk with, well over 100 sprites and trying to figure out how to edit everything XD

I'll just be patient then and keep on editing =)

I've noticed some extreme edited characters, like K being turned into Ronald McDonald for example. And I was wondering just how did they do it? Whenever I decide to make a sprite edit I get totally overwhelmed by the amount of sprites, there's atleast 100 of them. Just how do they do these things? Do they really sit and delete all the textures from every sprite just leaving the outline to work with or how is it done?

I would like to post a request for spritesheets containing all, or atleast most characters from Marvel VS Capcom, or any of the older street fighter games.
Ryu, Ken, Sagat, etc etc. A link to a site containing sprites would be super. I can't find anything from Street Fighter. =/

I'm pretty new when it comes to making characters for fighting games. I can make the first sprite for the idle stance but that's it. I have no knowledge on how to animate them. Well, I have a basic idea on how to do it: Onion skins. But I don't have the detailed knowledge of what programs and what techniques to use.

Without further delay. Here are my two characters:
Hood Man

Comeback Kid

I would be gratefull for some feedback on what people think, what they think I need improvement with and so on.
And tips on programs for animating them along with how to do so would be nice aswell.

wow this thread weird. so this isn't a joke character or anything why are people giving such goofy suggestions? hook hand, laser?

this isn't a bad idea for a character at all. i think you might want to make a full sprite set of him first though. putting it in the graphic art section will really help you get feed back too.

No, I'm serious about this characters..Should I delete this thread and make a new one in the graphic art section instead?
