I don't like to keep the roster too big either but I think cutting it down to 20 (or less) is kinda overkill. I mean even the arcade version of Street Fighter Zero/Alpha 3 has 25 on screen characters plus 3 hidden.

People who are physically able to do it, but say they don't, they lie.

I'm pretty selfish though, if I can't have the characters how I want them I don't want them. And I hate mixing the different styles.

That's what I think as well. That's why I divided chars into so many groups, so characters in the same group are consistent.

Well, just that it would feel like you're having 2 (or more) related games. Like you play Ryu from diffrent Capcom games.

Here's the solution. Keep all Warusaki3's characters in just one game/screenpack. In another one, pic few of the best from other creators as you see fit.

Depends on my opponent. If my game plan is to be offensive, I'd go with N. If it's defensive, I'd go with K.

Holy sh*t. Those look pretty sick. If you make a whole collection of these, we might have a mugen version of Namco vs Capcom that plays like CvS.

I use keyboard since I like to rest my hands rather than holding them in the air. Also the attacking buttons seem to feel like arcade. I can do most of the default moves there and I just change the commands for impossible moves like 720 spin or super vertical charge motion. (Funny that I have no problem pulling off those moves on MAME using the very same keyboard.)

I don't have consoles so I can't get this anyway, so the closest thing I can hope for is the mugen version.

Warusaki3's version of all CVS 2 characters + some extras ie. more Ex mode and chars from other games

Tag mode

More user friendly team (KOF's style turn) mode

Correct translations for all CFJ characters

Mortal Kombat project(s) where characters look more like in later games and/or not using the sprites from MK1-MKT.

That's it for now.

3.16 GBs with 7 different screenpacks (some characters/folders are shared between them, of course). This also includes the music and I use mostly HQ soundtracks, so that's why it seems bigger than it really is.

ex mode don't bothers me, I'd like only to have the interface like waru's (and so groove time and things I mentioned). Well, I know it's not impossible to modify the chars, as it's not impossible to make any char in any way from zero, but since I'm not a creator and I don't know anything about coding I have no way to do that. And I simple stated I hope Warusaki considers to make those chars, along with any other possible since I like cvs2 based chars very much....c'mon, no need to be that harsh  ;)

I'm thinking exactly the same thing. I mean at least there should be a guide on how to modify a character to have Warusaki3 CVS style (only for the ones with fitting gameplay of course). I can speculate why Warusaki3 chooses to make certian characters, but that topic probably deserves its own thread.

I appreciate that and actually I'm not a religious guy either.

Also you have the right to create whatever you want within the legal boundary here, but this is just my personal suggestion. If you're creating a religious character, I suggest you stick with one religion per character. Otherwise, I can sense the thread turning into a "my god > your god" thread. (Who wants to see that?)

This sounds like a borderline religious thread right here.

how so? you don't see anything on the vs. screen except for the player portraits.

Well, exactly. At least you know who you're fighting then you have to decide which groove to select right away. Then select it without thinking once the match starts.

Wait, there might be a little misunderstanding here. I was talking, or course, about 1 player game. If it's 2 players then I agree you probably need more time since your opponent could have a strategy on multi-groove/ism as well, which isn't much of a case for CPU AI where 1 groove generally works most of the time against the same opponent.

Oh, and for those who complain about the groove selection time. Well, you're actually suppose to decide that during the VS screen. If there's no time during the team mode, pick the favorite.

I read on infinity awhile back that Hh and Warusaki is the same person... is this true? If it is then one has to question to an extent why he would make two vegas....

I doubt it. Hh's cvsiori and Warusaki3's cvsvega don't really have automatic compatible intro. I mean at least you have to set that up yourself.
