Good idea. I've got a couple ideas to add to that. All of the following would be supers. Note: Some moves I'll describe the best I can because I can't spell them.

1. Have Asura Uppercut the opponent, and while the opponent is in mid-air, Asura jumps. Lightning strikes separating Rugal and Akuma and both halves go to the left and right (or possibly rotating in circles) while simultaneously doing Akuma's multiple downward fireball special.

2. A variation of the above move where after the fireballs, Rugal and Akuma come back together and do the Akuma's Misogi.

3. Lightning strikes, Asura splits, and Rugal and Akuma both do a Ryu Beam-Type Super (A la Ryu+Ken XvsSF)

4. Misogi-Style Move that performs like Akuma, but instead of just hitting down, he spins like Old-School Rugal.

5. Super Genocide Cutter--->Super Hurricane Kick--->Misogi--->Gateway to  Hell

6. Lightning strikes, Asura Splits, Rugal and Akuma end up on either side of the opponent, and both do Akuma's Raging Demon move at the same time ending in a HUGE explosion and Asura back together.

7. Just for laughs, two words: PROTON CANNON!!!!!!

This seems to be a great tool, but it can be a little confusing to use. It seems that it will create a list for you based on the characters and stages you have, but it will ONLY do so completely randomly. It looks like a screenshot of what looks like an updated version (0.3?) will do better and allow you to select which character will have which stages and which order, along with a preview screenshot of the character in the stage. One more thing, it seems that this program will only allow up to 1000 characters and up to 1000 stages. Right now, I have about 1750 characters (out of a possible 3000+ character screenpack) and about 750 stages. Is there a way to increase these limits? Also, will the screenshot of the stage be compatible with Hi-Res stages?

Okay...what is the current status of this edit? Once I can get this, I don't think I'll ever use another screenpack again. (I may just change the lifebars, but that would be all.) I now have 1750+ characters and 700+ stages. I just want to fill this one up.

edit

One more little tweak:

P2 Character Names on the select screen I think should be left justified to the character portrait box.

Before you release this great screenpack edit, the following problems need to be corrected.

1. Not enough space at the bottom to display the entire name of the stage. That last entire row of boxes needs to disappear.

2. When selecting multiple characters (simul or teams mode) you can only see the name of the first person you pick. The other 1-3 characters' names end up hidden by the character slots.

Great edit! I've been waiting for a Hi-Res EVE Battle for a long time. Only two problems I see with it...

1. Not enough space at the bottom to display the entire name of the stage. That last entire row of boxes needs to disappear.

2. When selecting multiple characters (simul or teams mode) you can only see the name of the first person you pick. The other 1-3 characters' names end up hidden by the character slots.

@deth

i wouldnt exactly call deleting the only anim on the select screen an 'edit' lol. this is what u wanted to do:

http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/7/27/2022416/rost.png

This change of font really works well too. As does moving the p1 and p2 down so that you 1) have more room for the name and 2) doesnt look stupid when you go on team mode because the names file downwards
 ;D

The font edits and all are good, but that doesn't solve the original problem. That small space for the stage name is not enough for most stages. I have 600+. That whole row of boxes needs to disappear!

Great screenpack. One problem, though, is there a way to erase the last row of boxes? It's hard to see the names of the stages with them there.

Okay...I really do like the screenpack, but I can't seem to find this new edit you're talking about. I may need to get my eyes checked out or something. Where is it? :lost:

Serious problem with this screenpack. No matter what I do, the screenpack seems to crash in the middle of any game in Team mode. No error message. It just crashes. Any way to fix this?

I'm kinda new to the MUGEN thing, and I like EVE Battle. I've been working on developing this game since October 2007. I've run into a couple of problems I can't seem to figure out. It's about the lifebars. I always have my lifebar settings to 300% to make the matches longer. While I'm in the process of developing the game, I've been using the watch mode and letting the computer fight it out to test characters and evaluate how they fight to determine the order to put them into the matches in arcade mode. I've noticed when I use the "turns" mode, the first person in the turns mode has a full life bar (300%), but every character after that has only 1/3 lifebar (100%). The same is also true for single characters with multiple forms (e.g. Abyss) or characters that resurrect themselves (e.g. Gill, Rare Akuma) in "single" or "simul" modes. Is there a way to correct this without having to change the lifebar settings back to 100%?

Also I have another problem. When I first downloaded EVE Battle. I opened the file, pressed a button, and the game started almost immediately. Now, after putting in characters and stages (I have about 600 characters and 75 stages now.), I open the file, press a button, and it takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes to start the game. I know it has nothing to do with my Internet connection, or the hard drive space, or the RAM on my computer because everything else I have runs just fine.

One more thing...is there a Hi-res version of EVE Battle or can you play EVE Battle in Hi-res?
