2. He HAS been asking.... did you just skim over everything that I just wrote?  Sometimes the authors name and/or contact info isn't in the DEF file.
3. How can you "null & void" an example?     Even if it is "original" people tweak them all the time and release them as theirs.  Like I said before, there is no sure fire definitive way of knowing who's work is who's.
4. Can't steal something that is freely available on the internet. 
5. Considering the sheer amount of components that this game will have, yeah, he's got a lot of people to ask.  No, not the over dramatic million, but a lot.  Then there's the issue if or when that person will reply, if the contact information is correct, or, once again, if the contact info or author's name is even present.

Bitch bitch bitch, whine whine whine.  Number one, he WAS asking people.  Number two, how is he supposed to know it's yours?  People upload crap all the time so there's no real definitive way of knowing that something belongs to one specific person unless their name is on it, if it hasn't already been erased by the current uploader.  Savvy?  Also, people work on the same damn thing all the time.  Person A made a Pit Stage.  Person B also made a Pit stage.  They both release it to the public, which by my account is giving everyone on the internet permission to use it, but I digress.  People download Person A's and Person B's Pit stage.  They take Person A & B's name off of the files for these stages.  They upload the stages.  There are now two very similar Pit stages online to download that do not have any author name at all.  What's a gamer to do?  Ask EVERY friggin' person on the inter-webs if they can use it?  This seems pretty asinine and defeats the purpose of MUGEN, which is to create and share, not to split hairs.

Awe how cute, someone is trying to start a useless petty arguement.

1. I'm not bitching.
2. If he is using other people's work, he should check the "def" to know who's it is. It's doesn't take that much work to check and ask.
3. All my stages are original so your "Pit example" is now null and void.
4. Create and share, not to steal. If he isn't checking the "def" files, proper credit is not going to be given for the author's hard work.
5. You all act like he has to ask a million people.

YES there are tons of Mortal Kombat projects,YES a lot of them are really shitty.But my goal with this one is to increase quality of mortal kombat in mugen and be different from the others.Something new that we haven't already seen.
Does the thirty or so other mortal kombat projects have Sareena,Jataaka,Sabrewolf,Jarek and so...?Does the other projects have SubZero MK2's mid-air's downward ice freeze,Kitana's friendship,Smoke MK2's ninja star or so...?And if the other projects have SubZero MKM,Fujin,Quan Chi and still so that's because they stole it from my first beta release.

YES there are stages from MKP...a mortal kombat game without the courtyard or the pit stage isn't true to the serie.
YES there is a micheal obrect creation I use.But I'm editing it to fight in the mortal kombat style with all the basic moves.And if the guy doesn't want me to release this version I won't.I'll just keep it for myself.

Now for real MK fans and those that are interested,here's some new WIP about the game.
The MKM monk his ripped,he'll be the only character without any special moves!lol.But he'll have three different fighting style pretty much like in MK-V-DA and A.By pressing start you'll be able to switch between bare-hand,saber,and bo-stick.

I found the perfect method to rip Jarek's sprites from MK4!Look at this screenshot:

I use the N64 version,with tons of texture render effects applied and all this set up in a 320X240 resolution to fit MUGEN perfectly.This way it doesn't even looks ''polygonized'' if I may say.And I use cheat codes to remove the light effects.It will be super easy and super fast!I wont have to cut the bg much from the rip!Yahoo!:D
