Many have awaken the next day and discovered that beer had a tendency to turn them homosexual.

Uh, nothing can turn you gay... you either are or you're not.  Alcohol just helps bring it to the surface.  Sober, you're just repressing it which makes it boil to the surface easier and faster.  Suppress it long enough and you can take a whiff of beer and use that as an excuse to let it all hang out... so to speak.   ;)

As for me, I drink like a fish.  Yeah, I play into that homosexual stereotype.  Drugs?  Never illegal ones, just prescribed.  Xanax, codeine, and Valium.  Sometimes, if I cannot sleep, I'll take a Benadryl, which I do use to control my allergies also.  Did you know that it's the exact same ingredients in over the counter sleeping pills?   o_O  So, I can take a Nytol to control my itchy watery eyes and have a peaceful sleep.   :S  Also, I never smoke anything.  Too many complications to your health, plus my mother has just been diagnosed with emphysema.

Sensitive type are we?

Relax. Nothing in Cybaster's reply warrants him to be called both an asshole and a jackass in the same post.

Yes, we all start somewhere and not all of us can grasp concepts all that quickly. It's good that you are striving as much as you can, but reality is, you have nothing to prove. Cybaster has nothing to prove. There is no deadline for making a good character or stage. Being a true contributor doesn't necessarily mean you have to be Warusaki3. The MUGEN community isn't necessarily about having fame or getting recognition.

The relationship you have with the others and how others treat you in this community largely depends on yourself. Treat others as you want them to treat you.

EXACTLY my point!  I came into this forum as a doe eyed newbie and I was immediately confronted with harassment, name calling, bigotry, rudeness, and other various forms of negativity!  So, in turn, I have to assume that this is the way that everyone treats each other on here, which puts me in that negative state of mind, especially when all I want is my questions answered and a little help.  It's like I have to wear a sign that says "Pardon my MUGEN ignorance, but could you please treat me with a little bit of respect and help me?"  That's the main problem with this whole forum: no respect for anyone.  True, respect can be earned, but when you're speaking to someone that you have had no interaction with, does that warrant a volatile response?  Everyone should be treated with respect immediately, then if they turn into some sort of immature ass, then take that respect away, but still does that warrant a volatile response?  Why battle ignorance and bitterness with more of the same?  It creates a vicious cycle that eventually leaks out and lashes out at others for no reason.  I truly feel like I have been a victim of this cycle, and it's bullshit.  A "n00b" does not mean that they are less of a person and deserve to be talked to like they are beneath you, so why play into the labels?  Some think that being an ass hurts others and makes themselves look cool, but it just reflects how they truly are.  *sigh*  Am I even making any sense to anyone here?   :-\

Dont let em get to you,..  ofcourse there are plenty of guys that can create much better stuff then most. The fact that there are a few jackasses and assholes between them, proves only that other people have greater social skills that dont have to compensate themselves by showing off by what they actually can do, and without throwing other peoples creations down.

I could be one of those jackasses, but indeed i chose not to do so on this messageboard. Thats what my youtube account is for.

Just ignore hollow negative criticism, and reply to constructive criticism only.

So leave "Thedge" aside,.. and "Simpli-Wait for it!-Awesome" had also a dissapointing reply wich doesnt hold much value. Kinda sad for a MFG Network Member, wich seems to take a side in a silly discussion, while making a stupid assumption.

Anyway,..  you get my point.  :2thumbsup:

Thank you.  You get it.  ^_^  It's hard to not let it get to you when all ya get in return is negativity.  It gets on you and you end up sending it all back out there.  Like I said, it's a vicious cycle that I'm even guilty of perpetrating.

Sorry kreeddem, for crapping all over your topic.  >_<  It looks like a very gravy piece of work that I cannot wait to sample.  ^_^

Do you think that you could add more to it, like rips and holes in the sweater, threads hanging down, burn marks on the material, or maybe even some of his burnt flesh poking through the fabric with some blood stains?

Thedge has contributed to the community much more than you'll surely ever do.

That being said, as Iced just told you, this is the WIP area, to post about the advance and progress of your works.
There is another section called "releases" where people post their creations once they are finished or in a good shape so that people can try them.

I know that the MKP section was full of various topics : some about ideas, others about WIPs, others about graphics, others about releases, etc., but the MAIN forum here doesn't have the exact same configuration, and WIPs are completely separated from Releases.

Gee, thanks for that serving of help with a side of snide comment.   --;

I've only been active with MUGEN and this community for a couple of months, plus I have a full time job and marriage to tend to (you might not be able to understand that), but I am learning and it would be nice to get the help that I request without assholes like you feeling like they need to establish themselves as superior to myself or others.  True, I may not be a MUGEN God like yourself, but I'm constantly striving as much as I am able to in my little free time to better myself and be a true contributor to this community.  So how 'bout ya back off and cut me a little slack, jackass?  >_<

Zax, this is the projects area, where people search for comments on things they are STILL doing, not on things released, thats why there are no links.

Thank you for the help.  Now I see what you mean.  A little help goes a long way.

You are welcome, I thought that by telling it was a Wip area you would understand, im sorry for not realizing you could have not known what that was.
And for the guy complaining about mk projects, dont like someone work dont meddle into it, its not like the guy isnt trying to actually do something.

Thanks, but I confused the two sections, that's all.

Oh man, you should leave when they closed MKP Sub Forum.

C U

...and it's the helpful little comments like that that make me hate this fucking place.   --;

Seriously, grow up.  If you can't help the community, then shut your trap.  People ask questions because they do not know the answer and they'd like help, not idiotic, immature, irrelevant ridicule, you ass.  >_<

At that point he had already "attacked" the guy that posted this comment
Tested Ken out a bit and I can say, blech. Even for an MK conversion of the SF movie characters (which is close to MK anyways), the coding isn't done very well. The heavy fireball for example, it arcs?  o_O The dragon punch causes him to land in mid air and stay there. The large portrait doesn't fit very well inside the standard usage sizes, and the small portrait is messed up.

Of course this is after 5 minutes of playing around with the character.

That was the comment that offended him.
Sides, look at his avy, does that seems that polite to you as well?

To be fair, this was posted towards him first.

Yes, I wonder why....

Could it perhaps be because your behavior is reprehensible?  That you show none of the courtesy that you expect from others?

You resort to making baseless attacks at things people derive enjoyment from, for what gain?  To make yourself feel better about liking Mortal Kombat?  Because you feel your taste and likes are so much superior to others?

Learn to have decency and tolerance to other people and their opinions, then, you can expect people to treat you in the same manner.

Okay, but when he's given crap comments like this (http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=82328.msg702896#msg702896) right off of the bat and then a whole bitch fest topic on him is created, how do you expect him to react?   o_O  Seriously people.  I bet you poke sleeping bears with pointy sticks and wonder why he attacks you.
