Then get this: Paint.NET. It can do just about anything Photoshop can do, but it's free.

I'll try to be back soon with more sprites - you never know when Ryu needs a little more than his fists to win a fight.

EDIT: Also, I take requests. Just putting it out there.

A few words:

*Guns don't kill people, the ones who pull the trigger do. Video games are irrelevant to this, even if all of the proles refuse to accept that.

*This isn't really a matter of "more guns vs. less guns", it's about who is using said guns.

*The NRA take their love of firearms way, way too far. That said, there are few things that stop a homicidal maniac with a gun quite like a decent person with a gun.

*This all leads to one last point...parents should be more responsible in regards to the environment their children are raised in. That is the most surefire way to keep things like this from happening, more so than giving teachers handguns to protect the children with, since it averts the need to arm the faculty in the first place. The world seems to be becoming a worse and worse place to live, with each generation becoming more suggestible and malleable by the myriad forces that want control over the world's young, mind, body, and wallet.

What I'm saying here is, it's the role of the parent to ensure that his or her child grows up with a strong sense of self so he or she can be steeled against the mind-control-like advances of the many people and companies that try to warp the child for personal profit. This is what happens when people are raised like sheep and not like human fucking beings - they assume that identity and carry it in all of their endeavors in life, and the sheep herders have the power to make them think whatever they want them to think, even if it's inherently harmful to the person thinking it or to others.

Here, I made a gif.

You can see that he is really stiff, for instance the legs are completely blocked and the arms move only from a frame to the next one. You have to put movement in the middle frames, to make the animation more smooth.
The right hand stays in one place.

The movement in your sprites is (using numbers)
1   1   2   2
but it should be
1   1.5   2   2.5

I hope you can understand.

Thank you, good sir.

etc

Not this shit again. Yes, I understand that the animation is horrible and choppy, but posting that fucking image isn't going to tell me what's wrong, besides your usual remarks about perspective regarding parts of the sprite being animated. Proper, useful feedback/criticism, please.

Fuck yes

Enlighten me as to what you mean by, "fuck yes"?

Oh great another Flame War is afoot I'm locking this thread if it get too crazy
Everyone thinks they're better then me imma just go cool off
what flamewar? most people are even ignored your opening post and vegeta only called out errotaru because he was making fun of you and even gave you some helpul advice HE WAS HELPING YOU!!

god, do you even read?!

Well, both parties are behaving pretty damn badly as of late:

*dncelestinx96, you should really look over your posts before posting them - a lot of them give users a reason or two to make fun of you over it, and there isn't really much the staff will do until that starts inconveniencing other users. Also, if you and another poster get into a unnecessary argument, at the very least try to take that to PMs.

*Erroratu, bad shit happens when you maintain a hostile attitude towards other users - the mods and admins stop tolerating it when it's annoying more than it's funny. No, you are no better than dncelestinx96, and saying/implying that you are in your posts doesn't make it true. You're already on the radar as far as the staff is concerned, so try to be careful what you decide to post on this forum.

First of all,i dont think theres a single coma(,) or fullstop(.) in this whole post.
Second of all that sounds waaaaaaaaaay too childish even to me.

Erroratu, two things:

*A coma is when someone is unconscious for a prolonged period of time. I think you mean "comma". Also, the full stop in a sentence is a period.
*Stop acting like you're better than dncelestinx96 already. Saying "that's waaaay too childish to me, because I'm so damn mature and grown-up" doesn't make you look smart or mature - it makes people want to punch you in the face through their monitor.

Dncelestinx96, you also get two things:

*Your post has very little to do with New Year's or the ball dropping in New York.
*I'm letting you know ahead of time, this will probably either be merged with the shit thread or deleted relatively soon. Just a heads up.

MFG is not your personal blog

What you said.

Basically, I can't tell how this looks animated, and from previous experience I can semi-reliably deduce that it probably doesn't look terribly great. I could use some advice on making quality/smooth-ish animations, since it's something I have a very, very hard time with:

The armor is supposed to be somewhat flexible, so breathing would be somewhat visible in said idle/standing animation. Criticism and advice is always welcome/encouraged.

A little edit, move mvc than cvs but I dont want to create a thread to post :)

Well, you CAN make your own sprite thread. And you're right, it's pretty much just MvC and unfortunately doesn't belong in the CvS thread.

Also, could use Thor's armor/costume more prominently, considering that Venom's torso musculature looks...anatomically incorrect (it looks like he has a pair of pectorals/tits where his abdominal muscles should be).

So it's about time I attempted finishing this sprite. I hope to get it done by the end of the year, but for now, here is my current progress:

Basically, the hair was touched up and I tried to get some work done on his other hand, which still doesn't look right. The new version on the right has less of the darker shades in his hair.

Really only touched the upper body there, but that's an example of what I mean.

My only two complaints are:

*The leg lines on his right leg (artist's left) make it look like he doesn't have a knee there - i.e., the knee is totally undefined. Urien's knee is a good reference here.

*You used SvC Sagat as a base, whose proportions don't fit nicely with the SF3 archetype/Sagat's post-SF2 build in general. Also, his leg wraps look almost untouched from SvC.

EDIT: More criticism!:

*His hand wraps have the same issue, and his fists/feet are far too small for SF3.

I honestly don't understand all of the MS hate as of late - most of their work has been largely noninflammatory, and apart from their history of disputes with EU regulations, they haven't been pulling the same magnitude of control/power/money mongering that they used to be notorious for/that Apple is notorious for now.

...this happened when I was out of town? Damn, out of the loop already.

Also, AFAIK there isn't a Mayan theater in SA. There IS the Aztec Theater downtown, which may be what this article is referring to. Regardless, this is probably bullshit in KSAT's part, since I honestly haven't heard anything about a shooting or the repercussions of the thereof (increased security/police presence, possible gun law changes). Take it from someone who lives here.

EDIT: After researching the matter, it turns out that this is actually true. And there is the Mayan Palace 14, which is the theater the article was referring to.
