The floor of this stage is badly skewered by the parallax when you go to the far left/right.

I know. I gotta confess, this is my second attempt at a parallax stage, i finally made one that didnt look like an iceskating track so i didnt wanna screw up the code again. I guess i can make the stage less wide so it stops before skewing to a certain degree

.
In some stages the characters fall off the floor or if they float up off the stage(never to return) if they are hit with a super.

??? Never to return? You tried jumping down the stage? Characters are supposed to land on the floor down below where you can continue to fight. Also wich character are you using?

Forogt... awesome screen pack... I wish there was more character slots for leeches like me...

1865 stages
600 characters

Thanx, and i am working on a screen with more slots, i'll guess a make a few and see what works best.

What, is skyscraper or whatever that stage is multi-tiered, or what?

Nope,..  its really simple. i put the starting position way up in the air. As long as you dont jump or get knocked up in the air, you dont fall down.  ;D

Should I believe this thing has Tag system, when we're still trying to get Electbyte to implement that system? --;

I'm speculating it can be done by programming two characters in one file. Downside would be that you'd always have the same team.
I wouldnt know for sure, i havent fiddled with chars that much.

But thinkin about it, has anyone ever programmed Shang Tsung including some morphs? Cause if thats possible then i'm pretty sure it can be done.

I think 22 characters is enough for a full game but if you can fit twice that many characters into the story/plot, than I will so impressed, my head will asplode. (I don't play much big roster fighting games)

Either that or it has no story, which would be mad disappointing.

There is no storyline involved, i wanted to create a futuristic atmosphere. Storylines are connected to characters, and i made it so anyone can simply put their favorite characters into the game, with or without storylines, thats up to the people.

I added a rapidshare link, this one is active and ready.

How come the link is unavailable?

I'm going to take a guess what X-22 is.

Hmm... is it a name for some science experiment? Nah, too cliché.
Boss character?
A symbol for a deeper meaning?
Oh I give up.

I'm not sure,..  give it a little time, if i get more "complaints" i'll re-upload the whole thing. I'm also uploading to rapidshare right now as a mirror just in case. And X-22, hell, i really dont know.

Hmm... 22 Slots, pretty straightforward. Me likey.

I will make an addition for more slots, perhaps double the slots from 22 to 44.

What is X-22? I dont know but it sounds cool. So whats different here you say?

This is a ready to go engine with original menu's, sounds, music and 5 stages.

- Skyscraper
- Section VI
- Technopolis
- Alien Breach
- Galactic Skull

All songs are made by me, if you really cant stand the music  o_O , you can replace it by simply
putting an mp3 in the "sound" folder with the name of the stage you want it to play in.  --;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What's missing?

Ehmmm... Characters. (yup, i even killed KFM)
The idea is that you can choose and add your own characters of choice to the game.
Isnt that great? A game without crappy characters you'll never play with.   :sugoi:

Thumbs up for fan-made games! I really do think that license holders have no idea how to imbue old games with new life. Its like some weird trend where the resolution goes up, and graphics and gameplay go down.

Like Streetfighter HD Remix, looks great as long as your watching screenshots. When i downloaded it on PSN i was awfully dissapointed, and never played it since. But i did enjoy Afterburner Climax, that was cash, looked great, played fantastic, those devs knew what they we're doing.

Some time ago i was really psyched with all the titles mentioned that we're up for a next-gen re-make, now i'm avoiding re-makes to stop myself from further dissapointments.

Sonic is looking cash again. Also i'm really excited with Gabe687's MK re-make. The Boon brothers can suck it up for that one.  ;D

Re: Music for win-screen, continue-screen, survival-results screen. Is it possible?

October 20, 2010, 09:53:37 pm View in topic context

I have an idea, but it's a long shot and i'm too lazy to check it out.
What if you insert the music you want played in each char and use it on the respective statedefs?

Actually i'm working on an engine without characters, so thats not gonna work for me. Thanx for thinking along, i'm sure someone is willing to look into it.

And if anyone does, please post your results here.  :sugoi:

Music for win-screen, continue-screen, survival-results screen. Is it possible?

October 19, 2010, 07:51:36 pm View in topic context

I replaced every sound from the standard Mugen 1.0, i added music in all menu's, except for the win-screen, continue-screen, and survival-results screen.

Is it possible to put music in those menu's? Its awfully quiet in comparison with the other menu's, wich bothers me a bit. And if possible, how do i go about this?

I guess everything already has been said, so i just wanted to make a suggestion. For the blue fire, there where the edge is a straight cut, perhaps you can place some kind pole on each ends to cover it up. Maybe something that looks like a doorway between the blue plasma barrier, i'm just givin it a name, cause thats what it looks like to me.

Overall its pretty good.

Oh, the height is perfect. I always use Dragon Claw to test stages, he's flying around nicely there.

I checked some music out and each game seems to be very distinctive with it.

Tatsunuko vs Capcom has a lot of character specific tunes, i recognize some remade 16 bit tunes now with fat synthesizers and guitars. I can dig drum and bass or some chemical, but i dont want take away from, or overshadow character sounds. And i am most familiar with electronic music, and Guilty Gear has some outragous heavy metal, i would have to set up an entire band to get that sound together.  o_O Hip hop is something different, good atmosphere, but it doesnt have that "get ready for action" idea wich i like, but something similar could work on the main menu.

I think i can take things from all of that and work out some fast paced atmosheric get ready for action electronic dance with some guitar sounds music.   ;D Sounds good to me.

Actually, I think he means : how do you rip these kind of sprites from CVS2/MVC2/etc., since each time you move you get a different layer to rip, and characters will always be in the way, keeping you from ripping correctly/easily.

Thanx, those were the words i was missing out on.

use Artmnoey to place the characters offscreen, or any other trick that lets you rip the stage easily

Never heard of it but i'll see to check it out, thanx, all of you, and you too Syn.  ;)

It's a screenpack with stages? Isn't it just a screenpack then?

No its a full game without characters.  ;D
I figured its better to do this as a whole since i'm practically changing everything from the sprites as well as the sounds. People only have to install characters, instead of in installing a screenpack and stages with all sounds etc. I believe this way i make it more accessable for people who dont know much bout mugen but still wanna play it.

You think i'm overdoing it here?
