Yes I'm quite familiar with the straight-edge scene. I was telling him that it isn't uncommon for someone in a band to get eff'd-up and play like shit.
I'm also aware of sharps, skins, pins, gutter punks, and art fags. I didn't mention the straights cuz most of them are pricks who think their better than everyone else. SO...your in a straight edge grindcore band? How is that even possible? Grindcore is all about noise and chaos and blast beats and getting ripped with your friends and making an awful racket for the sake of making an awful racket. At least IMO.
I dig the shit out of it myself, particularly Anal Cunt and Vaginal Jesus.
straight edge grindcore is possible. i dont like anal cunt all that much and vaginal jesus is cool. were kinda crusty newer extreme noise terror type stuff with a splash of wecamewithbrokenteeth and some hXc influences, a little more melodic.

No the Sex Pistols did not almost kill the scene. They're the ones that STARTED the punk scene in the UK. And yes, they are very RAW. They are not by any means, awful. AFI and NOFX on the other hand suck dick and are listened to by every fucking hot topic shopping poser out there. Fuck the White Stripes too! Jack White can go fuck his sister with his no talent dick. Any highschool garage band can play better than these jerk-offs. Also, I know they're not punk, but I associate them with all the other pop-punk and emo bands because they all generate the same feeling of disgust and contempt. Yes, Offspring was good back in the 90's. Not so much anymore.
