7,3,400,0,2, ,as128d128
7,3,400,0,2, ,as192d128
7,3,400,0,2, ,as256d128
7,3,400,0,2, ,as192d128
7,3,400,0,2, ,as128d128

but idk the source

so this is just based on observation

sorry if I gave you a headache :P

Hehe, yeah no headach. I could have done it that way i suppose, i used that on some of the other stuff.
But being it's only a flash which is a split second you really don't notice anything unless you pause it at that exact moment. But yeah this was taken from the source, directly unaltered...

Here is my version of Osaka Tower, made from scratch, since this stage is almost impossible to rip this was the best i could do. I tried to keep the original 3-D feel without using the 3-D illusion method, let me know what you think.  The rain is much faster then it is in the video, and i've included a sound file that matches the lightning, feel free to change the music file if you like but i always like to release some audio with the my stages. Hope you all enjoy!

If Osaka Tower is too much of a pain in the butt, maybe Windmill or Desert (Nairobi) would be cool.

Osaka Tower is probably impossible right now.

Yeah Osaka Tower is nearly impossible, but I think I just might pull it off...

One thing you really should do is post your screenshots, no one will download anything you post if they can't see it. You could use photobucket.com or something similar, copy the link from photobucket then use the [.img.] command and paste the link in between [.img.] on the forum.  ;)

I didn't. Using Paint Shop Pro I had to layer about 10 different images of the same in-game position the use a certain transparency setting to filter out the white rain the best I could. If you look at the .sff sprites it is far from perfect. If I knew of some sort of artMoney setting to get rid of the rain in that stage it'd be cake.

Yeah that sure would help, but trying to get artmoney to get rid of stuff like that is such a pain, all i can do with it are life bars and characters, but trying to do anything else forget it.
There are some other ways one might get rid of the rain, maybe i'll play around with it...  If anyone has any pointers on how to use artmoney properly that would be great. I found the artmoney tutorials not that helpful...

Man o man you inspired me to make 3d stages again thank you

Yeah i noticed you haven't been around for awhile, look forward to seeing some more of your stages  ;)

JAM sucks :<

I believe he wasn't talking about JAM's craptacular Burning Osaka stage bur rather Neat Unsou's sexy Hi-res Burning Osaka stage.

Yeah it was Neat Unsou's (the one that won the random select award) Once i saw it, i didn't bother releasing it because yes, it was sexy!

Mackx, I created an Osaka Tower but it was terrible. It's 2D, and it sucks.

Yeah I checked it out, haven't downloaded it yet to try on the mugen engine, but i gotta say that stage doesn't look easy to rip, all that rain animation. I might try to attempt it but man, looks tough... You said Drex ripped the tower? how did he get rid of all that rain?

Wow, amazing! I love you for the Artic stage. It looks beautiful.

xD

I'll look forward to more of your awesome works.
I checked out your site and downloaded the MVC2 swamp stage too, it was also superb!!

I would love it even more if you created the China stage or Osaka Tower !! x]
But I think those are impossible to create...

Hey thanks!
I already tried Osaka Tower, but then someone else released it so I didn't bother finishing it. I'm going to attempt some more cvs2 3D stages, but yeah it's almost impossible to do that on some of them

Quote
Truly wonderful stages as always. I should fix up my London stages.
Yeah you should, and maybe animate the people in front (if it's possible) That would be awesome!

Quote
Unfortunately they were that blurry in the original stage too.
Yeah they were, but I don't think they look all that bad, they just look blended...

You could try Imagesplitter, but that would also bloat the filesize. It wouldn't rely on the RGB method nor have the flaws of that though.
Imagesplitter would not only bloat the file size, it would bring the engine to an utter crawl. ARCoolguy's stages do that to most people already and that's just 85 images. Imagine multiplying the amount of layers by 10 fold at least.

Image spiltter would so not work, not for a 3D stage anyways. The amount of work required to rip, line up the sprites properly would take weeks to do, and it would probably slow your computer down too just like HankVenture said.

You sir are awesome! Thank you very much.
+100 I'm usually not so eccentric but your stages, artwork, a true breath of fresh air. CVS awesome bro just awesome

Thanks guys, glad your enjoying the stage!

No feedback for them, these are really good stages, and you've fixed the symmetry problem present in your old stages. :)
Maybe it could have been possible to add the intro for the CVS stage, dunno the amount of work this would require.

Is the animination where the boat comes in to dock included in the stage?

Yes it would require alot of work, believe me i've looked into the possibilities. Unfourtunatly the file size would be so huge no one would download it because i had to use the rgb method to make this stage possible. So no the boat does not come into the dock, sorry. Too bad mugen has too many limitations. Maybe in future mugen projects the color pallet won't be 8-bit and no one will have to use the rgb method anymore. Hopfully in my future cvs2 and mvc2 stages, if they have intros and the color loss isn't too heavy i will include the intros.

Thanks guys, i was hoping for some more feedback, but oh well... there must not be anything wrong with the stages.  If any of you are wondering about the shadow thing on the cvs2 stage, that's how it is in the game...

You shouldn't find any colorloss on any of them, especially cvs2. Feedback is welcome, be gentle...

Updated now, sorry it took so long.
Fixed bound right bound left, it's now the same on both sides. Changed the floor tension as well as the z-offset, should be better now.

Stage looks pretty neat, like the water... However the use of my stage "Mcgees Alice" floor doesn't really suit it, since you can see the outline on the boards and it cuts off on the edges. but other then that not bad...

Excellent feedback Tamez, thanks for letting me know about some of these issues.

Quote
This gives an advantage to P2, as it is easier for him to corner P1 than it is for P1 to corner him.
Ideally, both values should be equal.  When adjusting this, you'll have to adjust your sprite placement as well.

Yeah this is something i really should keep an eye on, i keep forgetting about the advantage for the other player. I'll work on this in the future.

Quote
Having a verticalfollow like you do, some floortension would be nice.  I went with 30.  Try that out and see how the jumping feels.

Yeah i'll change that, something i overlooked

Quote
I know that lowering these values will cause problems, but I've never tried making them higher.
I returned them to -1000 and 1000 and I didn't notice any difference.
I'm curious what it is that you accomplished by changing them?

Because i was using my old template i forgot to adjust this. The reason i made it higher was for one of my very long stages, having it at 1000 prevented them from going any further in the stage regardless of the bound right bound left. So adjusting allowed me to make the stage longer.

Quote
This is left over from Tmnt4_FutureHighway.
It doesn't affect anything, I'm just letting you know it's there.

Haha yeah thanks, i usually use the same template as my last stage, sometimes you might find something else there.

Quote
Personally, I feel that this is too low on the screen.
With larger characters, their feet get very close to the edge.
I changed it to zoffset = 201

Yeah i can see how the larger characters could do that, i'll change the offset to suit it more like it was in the actual game.

Quote
Of course with a change to the zoffset, the bridge's parallax would need to be adjusted as well.

Yeah it does throw everything off but it looks like you got it worked out, i'll adjust that too.

Quote
O.K.  I understand having a safety backdrop, but yours is 1130x585.  With a delta of 0,0, the image isn't going to move.  So you only really need a 640x480 image to cover up.
Still, these are the only two instances of pink I see with the black disabled and debug on, so you could just fix them and get rid of the black.  (click for larger pic)

Yeah that was something i added before i made some improvments to the stage, since i spent enough time on making this i just got lazy and didn't remove it.

Quote
[BG collum1] uses sprite 3,2 and [BG collum2] uses sprite 3,3.
However 3,2 and 3,3 are the same image, just duplicated in the .sff.

While these are very small sprites and won't affect the filesize really, you could have just used sprite 3,2 again in [BG collum2] and used "start = " to adjust its position.

Yeah i do usually do that, sometimes it's easier to do it in fighter factory though if you don't feel like playing with it the .def, really it depends...

Quote
All in all, you did a very good gob at adapting the stage to mugen.  It is definately a keeper.

Yeah i'm glad you do like it, once again tamez i appreciate the feedback, sometimes you overlook things while you are making it which is why feedback is so nice to have. So yeah i'll make the changes and release and update hopfully soon.
