I've been messing around with the game now that it's out in the states and everything.  It's really fun, though it always seems to feel like there's way more going on than I could possibly deal with at one time.  Then again, I've never played a Warriors game so maybe that's just par for the course?

Also:  I HATE Lana.  She's so dumb.  I hate how she looks, I hate how she acts, I hate how she sounds, I hate how she moves, I just HATE her.  She is literally just a shallow amalgamation of every played out, cliche, cutesy anime girl trope with no substance or any redeeming qualities.  She is the worst.

What I find hardest to believe there is the fact that they couldn't make Ice Climbers work with two characters, and yet this dude wants people to believe that Chorus Men run perfectly fine as a team of four.

That does sort of line up with those forward and back icons someone found grouped in with the select screen portraits.  Doesn't really confirm anything, but it does give the impression that they're at least laying the groundwork for potential DLC in the future.

Do you feel that it kind of defeats the purpose to ask questions to someone who calls himself Do Not Even Ask?  If so, is it the questions or the name that becomes pointless in this scenario?

Mother

This is the only one of the Mother trilogy I've never finished, so I figured I'd go back and give it a shot.  It's definitely got all of the weirdness you'd get out of a Mother game, and I love that.  Though I have to say a lot of it feels like it's just laying the groundwork for what would eventually be Earthbound.

On the other hand, there is a LOT of bludgeoning hippies with baseball bats.  So that's a plus.

I've actually quite liked what I've seen from Steven Universe so far.  It explores some really unique concepts about gender roles without being preachy about it.  Definitely one of the better cartoons out there right now, IMO.

And yeah, Teen Titans Go turned out to not be as terrible as it looked like it would be.  It's nothing amazing, but it can be pretty funny.

So I was looking through some videos and I noticed something that caught my attention:



It looks like sometimes Mii Fighters appear on the select screen and other times they don't.  Do we know exactly what causes this?  Near as I can tell, it looks like they only show up there in multiplayer modes.  It's weird they would split it up like that.

Yeah well even Unwound Future ended with the Professor ramping a car onto the top of a 30-story tall steampunk battle robot.  I was expecting something to happen.  The conclusion basically went like "Here is what is really going on." "Okay, I guess we can just leave now."  It didn't really feel like a climax to the story.

Professor Layton vs Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney

I thoroughly enjoyed this crossover.  The puzzles were all really well designed, and the courtroom sections were fun too.  I like the new gimmick of cross-examining multiple witnesses at the same time and comparing their testimonies against each other to point out contradictions.  The story really fizzled out at the very end though.  There was no real big climax or denouement.  Not even any real antagonist to speak of.  They just sort of figured everything out and then everyone went home.  I really missed that classic AA moment of finally putting all the pieces together and shoving it in the face of the final opponent.

Majora's Mask pack would be a decent place to introduce Tingle, since it's his first game and all, but it'll probably be something like Skull Kid and Fierce Deity Link.  For the Twilight Princess pack I'd guess either Ashei or Rusl.

Kill la Kill is the stupidest anime I've ever seen, and that's why I like it.  It's fucking stupid, and the people who made it clearly realize that it's fucking stupid, so they don't waste any time trying to pretend that it's not.

Chorus Kids were probably planned to be in early on and then got cut for one reason or another later in development.  They were in that Gematsu leak after all, which I'm convinced was information from a very early period in development before anything was set in stone.
