- Somewhere in the middle?  I really love fighting games, but I don't follow the competitive scene all that much.

- I can honestly say that I have not. Because I'd have to gain face by actually winning a match before I could lose it.

- I've never been able to play M. Bison very well, and that stretches all the way back to the days of SF2 Turbo.  I was pretty decent with Blanka and E. Honda way back when, but in the newer games I really took a liking to Juri's playstyle.

- Having crazy stretchy limbs like Dhalsim would probably have a lot of really practical applications in the real world.

- It's pretty cool, but not something I'd be likely to sit and watch for very long at any one time.  And if it gets more people interested in mugen, so much the better.

- I can't remember exactly when, but it wasn't long after I first got into mugen.  I remember thinking it was one of the most ridiculous things I'd ever seen.

- I try to stay away from fan canon for precisely that reason;  People get themselves too wrapped up in what they think something should be like, and then when said thing turns out to not be that way at all they start getting pissed at the authors for not conforming to whatever imaginary thing they made up.   Which is stupid.

I do, however, ardently hold onto the headcanon that Sweetie Belle is actually a robot and that nobody, including her, has any idea that she is.  Because that one's never going to be addressed either way, so I'm safe.

If you were to design a moveset for Chorus Kids, would you base of the moveset of the various Rhythm Heaven minigames? If yes, which minigames would be the base for which special move? If not, then what would be the special moves instead?

- I'm not entirely sure what that first question's asking.  Isn't that just what Smash Bros is?

- Pichu can stay gone forever, for what I hope are obvious reasons.

- Because the universe hates me, that's why!  >:(  But I ended up liking Dark Pit a lot so I guess it works out okay?  Except for Lucas, that is.

- Probably because they didn't have a ton of ideas of how to adapt Fire Emblem characters back then.  There's not a ton you can do with a pure sword wielder, unless you turn them into a big heavy bruiser like Ike, and I don't think that'd fit Roy very well.  I don't think we really need to see him back unless they completely overhaul his moveset.  We've already got Lucina filling the Marth clone spot, and she's a much more interesting character than Roy is.

- Favorite is Dan Hibiki.  He's kinda like Hercule from DBZ, in the sense that if you put him against ordinary fighters he'd totally wreck their shit, but he's constantly thrown in with these insanely superpowered masters throwing fireballs and magic and shit and flying all over the place, so he comes out looking like a chump.  I love that.  Least favorite now would probably be Decapre, for being the biggest hype-killer in FGC history.

- I haven't played enough KOF to really know who I count as my favorite/least favorite.  I should probably make some time for that.

- Jotaro, no question.  Jotaro is the fucking worst.  He has absolutely no personality and the least interesting stand in the entire series, and yet he is constantly presented as being the coolest, most awesome dude in the world.  He never says anything, barely ever does anything, and yet the story is constantly cramming him down your throat, demanding that you think he's cool.  All girls instantly fall in love with him for no reason and all men instantly respect him immensely for no reason, but he almost never actually does anything noteworthy.  God, I hate Jotaro.

Honorable mention goes to Mike O. for having a stand that is the stupidest power that anyone has ever had in the entire history of fiction.

- I actually touched on that a while ago here in the Smash Bros thread.  It would be pretty easy to build a Smash moveset for them out of Rhythm Heaven minigames.

- Curiosity, mostly.  I actually used to really hate MLP back in the beginning when it looked like it was just some dumb ironic meme.  But then the internet wouldn't shut up about it, and eventually I figured I may as well give it a shot.

- It's the same reasons that anyone likes any show, really:  High production values, clever writing, and a cast of surprisingly compelling characters.  But also, it's just nice, you know?  So much of our culture today is predicated entirely on angst and gritty realism and sarcasm and cynicism.  It feels good to be able to just completely, unironically enjoy something lighthearted and sincere.  It doesn't hurt that it's a really well-crafted show on its own merit, too.

- A visual representation of culture?  I'd suggest going with something to symbolize art and music.

- Sure, why not?  I never turn down a chance to play games.

- I haven't really seen it, I'm afraid.

- Just be a nice person without expecting to be rewarded for it.  Feels weird to have to say that as advice, but that's the world we live in today, I guess.

- If I ever figure it out, I'll let you know.

- I've always actually really liked the idea of a fantasy world where modern-day technology and fantasy magic coexist side by side.  I feel like there's a lot you can do with that.

- I don't really know either of them.

- I wouldn't say I really slowed down.  I just picked up Alpha Sapphire the other day.  It's just that I've never been very hardcore into it.  I don't really care much about EVs or IVs or breeding or whatever.  I just like playing through the games and trying to catch 'em all.

- I think the best way to improve Bowser Jr. would be to split him into a couple of different characters.  7 would be good, that way you could have a different one be the boss of each world before you get to Bowser.  Vary up the designs on each of them so it's not just a miniature clone of Bowser.  Give one some sunglasses, another some crazy hair or something.  Maybe even make one of them a girl.  Yeah, that sounds way better than Bowser Jr.

- Like Jango said, you gotta start from the beginning.  Homestuck is such a dense body of work that you really need to know absolutely everything you can to be able to make sense of it.

- Rarity.

- I just want to see an animated version of this scene from the MLP comics.  Don't need to predict the outcome, it'd just be really awesome.

- I wouldn't say I'm casual, but I'm not really competitive either.  I just really love games.  I do collect a lot of games, though.  I've probably got a couple hundred all put together, not counting downloaded games and stuff on my steam account.

- I've always been rather fond of Vulpix.
- Jmorphman, because of that Brak's Dad pony you and I saddled him with that one time.
- I have, no joke, had a guy threaten to beat me up for being a brony.  Nothing actually happened since I was with a group of friends, but it was still weird.  Especially because this guy was in his late 40's and had his kids with him at the time.
- My opinion of Anita Sarkeesan is that she is an opportunistic attention-seeker who uses feminism as a smoke screen to get people talking about her, and who has no scruples about railing against something she doesn't actually know anything about as long as she can spin it to sound like it's a feminist issue.
- Creating an airtight alibi with my good friend I. Witness.
- I think it was a bad misunderstanding that got blown too far out of proportion.  Although, I was actually impressed by the way Hasbro responded to it.  Yes, they removed the one mention of her name from the episode to avoid offending some people, but ever since then they've been extremely careful to never give her a name that isn't Derpy.  All of the official merch either just has her face or a picture of a muffin where the name would usually go.  It's probably the best solution you could ask for.

- As someone who's lived in Vermont his whole life, I'm pretty used to the cold.  I'm one of those people who doesn't even bother zipping up my jacket until it dips below freezing.

The character in my avatar is Discord from MLP, former villain turned ally/benevolent jackass.  A creature known as a Draconequus, he's an omnipotent god of Chaos with the ability to rewrite the laws of reality on a whim and a serious penchant for fucking with people's heads.  He's also voiced by John de Lancie, if the parallels to Q weren't already obvious enough.

- I've been a Whovian for a couple of years now.  Oddly enough, it was the Doctor Whooves character from MLP that inspired me to go and see what Doctor Who was all about in the first place.  My favorite Doctor is Patrick Troughton, the Second Doctor.  William Hartnell did a wonderful job, but Troughton was the progenitor of everything that we associate with the Doctor today.  The slightly sarcastic sense of humor, the unwavering kindness and righteousness, and the ruthless cunning and intelligence hidden beneath a warm, smiling facade;  It all started with the Second Doctor.

- I've cosplayed once or twice.  This year for halloween I pulled together a pretty impressive Doctor Whooves costume, which was basically a Tenth Doctor outfit plus pony ears and a tail.

- Never seen it, but I've definitely noticed it making the rounds on the internet.  I'd probably give it a shot, just to see what it is.

- I've tried and failed a couple of times to get into character creation.  There's probably still an Urahara WIP on an old hard drive of mine somewhere that I got maybe 10% finished before I gave up.  I've never had much talent for coding, and I never have enough spare time to sit down and learn.

- Not really, I guess.  It works fine as a motivator for the protagonist, but you could do without a romantic subplot and still have a solid film.

- Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz.  Hands down.

- Probably not.  Thematically I could see it working, but it doesn't strike me as being very likely.

Is anyone else noticing that some characters feel like they play differently between versions?  Maybe it's just me, but Palutena feels way less sluggish on Wii U than she does on 3DS.

Sakurai's always had a weird fixation on the way he thinks things are supposed to be, and a lot of times he comes across as really missing the big picture of things.  Like, wasn't the reason he gave for not putting a story mode in this game that he was afraid someone might put the cutscenes on youtube and that's not how you're "supposed to" see them?  He really knows how to put a game together, but at the same time he's got a real problem of not seeing the forest for the trees.
