its obvious that all games ends up boring us, because we have played them many times, but what im talkin about is when you play the game your first time.

very true after knowing a game inside out it no longer becomes a challenge and no challenge = boring

i actually thought Devil May cry was boring because of the repetitiveness of it, slash slash slash Gun gun gun slash slash gun gun lol but it beside that i still tried to finish it.

I was working on creating Sonic for MUGEN and all my hard work got bugged and shit... then Winrar got ahold of all my banking information, so now I had to cancel everything including my credit cards and bank account. You know damn well that Im suing for some compensation...
If i ever meet the owner of Winrar in the street, this is what Im gonna do to him.

no i understand how it works now after reading the docs but the question is how to put this into use. from what im gathering this can only be useful to determine the value of a another var based on the current var im % and then using that var to create my randomnes.

for instance i set up var(1) to count up by 1 as time passes
then i set another var to change depending on tha value of var(1) such as this

[State 0, VarSet]
type = VarSet
trigger1 = time
v = 2
value = var(1)%2

that means as var 1 counts up it will constantly keep changing between 1 and 0

and if that is all correct then im over the moon. thanks Anger.

and it works hallelujah

[mcode]
trigger1 = var(1)%2
[/mcode]

so if var(1) = 10 then the value of that trigger will equal 0?

indeed but more rapid so it gives a blur effect.

the way i got it now uses multiple time triggers which i dnt mind doing but if what im asking is possible i would like to know, it could be useful in other ways to me.

I counted the amount of 'stars' in the effect, duplicated the original layer that many times, used a radial blur in the center of one star on each layer, changed all of the layer types except for the bottom layer to Lighten.  A lot of work quite honestly for one effect.

despite the work it produced quite a nice effect, i got time on my hands to spare so thanks a bunch
