Just a small point regarding the 1st post - some of the Fighter Factory issues are listed under "Coding tips & Glitches" instead of the actual "Fighter Factory" section - moving them might make things a bit clearer.
Also, didn't FF get updated recently? If so, maybe some of the problems no longer apply?...

Update to FF? while they're redoing it? ???

-CLSNs in walking animation should use a CLSN standard, they look very wonky and wobble around a lot.

noted, should be easy to fix

-Last Judgement misses when you stand too close to the enemy.

Must be the collision, if not then it should be fairly easy to fix either way.

-What's the point of Raging Charge? It doesn't knock down, you can't combo out of it, and it doesn't do a whole lot of damage.

It's a pester/approach attack, it's high recovery allows for reaction time after the attack- even if it's blocked. (oh, and it's projectile immune as well.)

-You can cancel out of his down+x by letting go of down.

hmm... Not sure how to fix this one- if it really matters.

However I do know that down-x is capable of cancelling without hitting- like the current release's stand-x (the upcoming update fixes that)

 it doesn't really seem like a major issue, but... meh whatever

-You can cancel LP into itself so fast that it doesn't even hit.

noticed that but never really bothered to fix it, should be simple to fix.

-HP doesn't hit if you stand too close.

same as last one, except I really didn't notice that issue.

-What's the point of HP? I could understand it being a launcher but it's not cancelable into a jump.

-Readme says: Final Claw Quarter Circle Back (QCF), z. LOL

-This 6 button scheme is very annoying to play with. Having empty buttons do supers is ugh.

odd... to me it seems easier than doing a double QCF+button command.

-A quartercircle back+Z super AND a half circle back+Z super? That's just urgh. I do the wrong move alot of times by accident.

bleh, my fault on that.

-Likewise, many times I accidently do QCB+A or B when I want to do QCF+A or B but the opponent just moved to the other side.

wha? um... are you sure it's not your controller? (if you're using one)

-Readme typo again: Life healing and power adding specials say Down, Down, A/B but the actual command is a QCB one.

-The final hit of Last Judgement looks like it should knock down, but it doesn't. Same goes for Final Claw.

seemed fine to me, but eh I could do that.

-Guard sparks for Evil Claw misaligned when opponent is crouching.

lazyness on my part

-I suggest making the jump height he has now a super jump and just giving him a regular jump. This ultra high normal jump is hard to use.

if or once I figure out how to do a super jump, I'll change it.

Targetbind doesnt trigger on the first animation element that loops.

Details

  • every special & super attack has been re-coded
  • removed various supers & specials
  • Updated Oni no Tsume Zeroshiki - it can now kill f1-Proof chars
  • new voice - the hunter from left 4 dead

PROS

+VERY FAST
+Instant Heal/Powercharge
+significant ranged attacks
+insta-kill
+Blood Sacrifice mode

CONS

-fairly low damage output
-powercharge reduces health
-heal requires one power stock
-virtually nonexistant grab game
-Insta kill only works as a fatality/desperation/humiliation attack
-Specials are punishable if blocked
-Powercharge & heal are disabled in Blood Sacrifice Mode

Mostly Copypasta from mugen genesis because I'm lazy :P

I want to do something else, so I figured I'd revamp my elque patch- into an edit.

The patch was a good start for MUGEN creation. but now he seems kinda... still imbalanced.
Elque's Revamp will include new sounds & voices. HINT: Left 4 dead- guess who and I'll give you a cookie ;)
special moves & supers will be remade- most of the cheap & generally unused/uneeded specials will be outright removed.

Changes to expect....

===Power level will be dropped to 3

Specials


===Evil Claw (Done)
-will change from one multi-hit slash to four single-hit  slashes in succession, still punishable if blocked, no longer comboable from other versions (BUT it still will be supercancelable)


===Shougekiha (the shockwave that breaks your combos)
-broken & annoying: Removed


===Raging Charge (Ground Version Done)
-Anim Redo, the ending frames will not hit, aerial version will be added as a command grab.


===Shuryou [the Spammable Orange freeman wave]
-will be replaced with a pseudo-B's Destruction/Genocide Cutter attack


===Power to Health conversion (Almost Done)
-will use KoF blue orochi pillars for graphics instead of the Oni Chizuru Pillar.

 
===Health to power conversion (Almost Done)
-will use KoF red orochi pillars for graphics instead of the Oni Chizuru Pillar.


Supers


===Evil Claw EX (level 1)
- Removed, the revamp of final claw will replace it

-Will be revamped to strike randomly around elque instead of sliding across the whole screen, will use Eternal Fighter Zero graphics & will be a level 2 instead of 4.


===Last Judgement (Formerly Level 4) (the one where he pins the foe to the wall & shreds them)
-will be revamped as a max level super & get an animation revamp.


===Oni No Tsume Zeroshiki (Formerly Level 5)
-Will be revamped as a Zetsumi Ougi & a max level desperation/perfection move, & will be MUCH more brutal looking.

Blood Sacrifice Mode

If you've seen my videos, then you probably have seen what this mode is capable of, however in it's current form It's HIDEOUSLY imbalanced- Infinites are possible with it at the moment.

if the title isn't self explanatory enough, this mode will use elque's life to power his supers- 1/5 of the normal cost to be precise, however OniTsume Zero reduces elque's health to 1 HP on use & at that point you're pretty much screwed if you miss.

I forgot to add in before- this mode will also disable your super bar for the rest of the round.

Thoughts?

Something tells me this will turn into a VERY heated argument.....

Then it'd likely be about the following (in any combo or order or by itself) :

A. The obviously unshaded sprites  :-X
B. The Balance of Voodoo (his primary ultimate)  --;
C. The Balance of Neutral Karma (the ice counter)  :-\
D. The glitches  :S


i also had the problem where he just flew into the air for the entire match.
his opponent was yugi and i think he was just hit by a spellbinding circle when it happened


did this just happen once or have you been able to it multiple times?
it happened once with yugi and then against another person i put him against. the cactuar he was fighting wasn't even touching him that time.

did cactuar put him in any customs states beforehand? I know the cactuar can use stop- which possibly could be the source of the glitch that time.

Increase the hittime on Quickstabs it can b blocked even after the first stab hits.

On Chef's Knife for the "Boink" explod change 0 to Facing. Yes that sounds dumb but it makes it turn when he turns and doesnt cause a debug error.

I rly like him, very original.  :2thumbsup:

I haven't tested the character, but wouldn't a super move that brings the character to 1HP be accurate to the source? Tonberry's most distinguishing feature is his knife attack that pretty much kills you if he manages to hit you. It's like that in the FF games, so I'd expect something similar to be present here.

Ok here are the bugs I've found so far

- Tonberry does shoryuken thing to GM's Ryu, Ryu parries, Tonberry flies away
- Crouching LP misses at close range
- All 3 levels of "shoryuken" do the same damage
- LP and MP do almost the same damage
- Crouching MP is a 2 hit, one button combo and as a result it does almost the same damage as crouching HP
- The hyper "shoryuken" doesn't do that much more damage than the regular one
- Level 3 hyper is a 100% KO, this sucks.  The activation time is also really long so its easy to avoid.  Maybe lower the activation and make it a throw hyper but much less damage.

1. that's odd, How many times have you tested this? have you been able to reproduce this glitch more than once? (cause it's basically a tweaked Kung Fu knee)

2. The hitbox is only on the knife, question- would it be more convienient for the hitbox to be on the arm as well?

3. I'm just lazy and didn't add in varied versions of the same damn special move.  :-\

4. that was a mistake on my part- I'll adjust the values for the next update   :S

5. the combo was intended, the damage was not- I'll adujst that as well.

6. It was intended to be comboable from his other attacks so I set it lower, but I can adjust that accordingly.

7.  --; the slow startup balances out it's huge damage - even with the ice counter it's still possible to miss if you're not fast enough. (besides, 100%?! wtf man? it's a reduce the foe to 1 HP not an insta kill.)
