I wish Balthazar would had the same love for One Piece as he has for Dragon Ball since we are missing decent OP character sprites, Joe as Luffy is a big no no, Luffy is more skinny, he never had mussles, hes made from rubber so dont go in this dirrection, also the first original concept was way better, I somehow don't like this musled arm he has now.

dont worry I'll try my best to do justice to Luffy

and Balthazars too busy with dbz he still hasn't started making Piccolo or Gotenks

Thanks for the detailed explanation

I've decided that I will learn to sprite before continuing with this project

so if I've read correctly the main problem in my spriting is the shading, right?

So..SF4 bunch won the "poll". While I'm outlining the two missing(E.Ryu and Oni), I did Gouken and a friendly neighbour. Someone like...? like yes!!

I think both Luffy's are to cut. Luffy is more thin than both of them, and should be easier to sprites without all that muscle definition. Here are some examples of what I'm talking about.

What about the arm on this one
I started playing with your Luffy sprite a bit. I redid his arms and started playing with some other stuff, but there's a lot more that needs fixing. I was only working with 3 shades, too.
I might get around to fixing up the rest of him, but as of now, I just wanted to give you a few tips on shading/anatomy.
Again, all I really fixed was his arms... so don't mind the rest of his body.

ARC, I have told you this LOTS of times, but I will repeat it again...before starting a project, LEARN TO SPRITE.

I just need to fix up his torso, neck and face everything else in my opinion is fine on the first Luffy

I dont understand what problems u see

I'd suggets u use a software with layers to just outline the animation and then flesh it out
