I personally prefer the first. After all your making "altered" Blanka not just Blanka with a light bulb attached his head. So I think the other is better because it gives him a more original feel while still being Blanka.

Just realized this but Altered Blanka's Sprites are somewhat based of Potemkim from Guilty Gear isn't he?

It is using the .act assigned in the .def. >.> Like I said displays properly in fighter factory but not in game. When I imported the sprite originally into FF and I said to get the palette from the image it had black rather than my pink color as the transparency. So I switched there position in the palette and while it displays properly in FF it doesn't in game. In game its still the black thats being transparent.

Paletting my images properly is a pain in the ass, but coding is a breeze when you learn how.  It's coding well that presents a challenge.

Amen to that I can't get my transparency in my palette to work for anything. >.>

I'm stuck on palletting as well Lucky Charat. I can't seem to get my transparency to work right. It displays correctly in Fighter Factory but not ingame. >.>

I use a Logitech USB Game pad that is designed to represent a ps2 controller as far as the button layout goes. I can play with the keyboard too but I prefer to use the gamepad because is it makes Mugen feel more like a real platformer game.

Alright well I was able to create a sprite and a supposedly valid pallete via  Fighter Factory but even though it displays the transparency correctly in Fighter Factory It still does another color for the transparency in game. Can anyone help me with this?

Hmm maybe hearing some opinions on why you believe spriting or coding is hardest/easiest would be cool to hear.

Well I would like the characters voices that you have ripped (Kasumi and Ryu) I voted for Kasumi a while ago. Where can we get the ones you got?

Hey guys I just was wondering what everyone's opinion was on making characters on the level of difficulty and what you believe takes the most time.

So do you you think that after you have the sprites for your character are you most of the way there or do you think that is the thing that is so easy compared to the amount of time it takes to code etc.

If you do successfully rip them it'd be an awesome thing to share. We'd for sure get some great characters.

Well i got a lot of stuff so its best that i organize it. :sugoi:

Here's my setup.

I have a folder in my Games Section called XMugen, which contains the following.

Add-Ons (808MB)
Chars (larger than 2.85GB)
Full Games (larger than 11.9GB)
Music (4.23GB)
New Stuff (703MB)
Programs (1.14GB)
Reza's Wips & Releases (522MB)
Screenpacks (1.51GB)
Sprites & Sounds (918MB)
Stages (396MB)
Templates (6.94MB)
Tutorials (23.5MB)

You might say that's a bit much, but it helps in the long run. :sugoi:

Holy crap thats huge. If anyone ever needs something that they've seen but can't find odds are that you most likely have it. XD

Yeah I don't organize mine at all I just put them in based on when I get them. XD

i have to add i organize my roster on : all ryus, all kens, all goukens (tons), all akumas, all kyos, all ioris, all sagats, etc etc etc

Wow I rarely have more than 1 of the same character (obviously they're different characters but they're different versions made by different people that can vary in things such as looks and so much more.) How do you ever decide who to play as when selecting the character of that type that you want considering you have so  many versions?

Wow I amazed you got something like that. It sounds as if to me after rereading that he is having trouble getting Mugen to run on Vista. But I'm not sure about that and I wouldn't know how to answer that as I'm an xp user.
