Hello everyone recently I encountered the dreaded "assert failure in charsel.c line 3162" which I know to be an issue with the "pal.defaults" Line in the character .def file.

But while searching for which character was having the issue I found that sometimes there would be spaces in the coding and sometimes there wouldn't like this:

[mcode]pal.defaults = 1,2,3,4[/mcode] And [mcode]pal.defaults=1,2,3,4[/mcode]

Does this affect anything at all when there are spaces in the coding or does it just help make it look more organized?

Well perhaps it'd be possible to compare the two of them and see how they did it. Its obviously possible though.

Hello everyone I was wondering is there a way to set a character to always appear in a random order? Like instead or order=1 or order=3 or order=5 etc. It appears as any order. I'd like this a lot more than just any set order. Also if thats possible is there a way to prevent them from appearing on a specific order such as order=10.

And since I think this is on a similar track is there a way to set how many characters you fight until the final or is it always just until it reaches order=10?

Hello again. I was wondering is it possible to remove or not initially display the F1 Elecbyte Banner at the bottom of the title screen? Because I was just thinking it may seem a little less professional in a finished production to have it there. It doesn't really matter either way though.

Okay then how the heck do I make a pallette in an imaging program? Wouldn't using bitmaps kill your transparency as well?

Hello everyone. I've run into an issue when trying to import sprites. I have made the sprites individually in .png format with transparencies yet I want them in .pcx format for mugen. So I used Irfranview to convert them to .pcx and imported them in everything seemed fine except the transparencies didn't appear to show when I ticked active transparencies. But I've heard that, that can be unreliable sometimes so I tried it ingame and the character appeared completely blank. What did I do wrong? I didn't try to make a new pallette for it because I don't know how is that what killed me? Or am I just doing several things wrong? I don't know how to make pallettes in FF just so you know.

Is there anywhere you would reccomend I go to learn these things if what needs to be done is just too complex?

I looked in the readme and found exactly what I needed he had 3 AIs and was set to the hardest one. Now he'll actually be able to be played against thank you.

Hey guys I was wondering if its possible to make a extremely difficult ai not so difficult. It seems that Wolverine 71113 By Sander71113 has an unbeatable ai. I love using him myself but when I play him I'm still significantly challenged and enjoy it. But whenever I run into him in single player he's near unstoppable just the site of him as my next opponent is enough to make me discouraged because I will most likely lose and end up having to begin arcade mode again. The reason he is so unfair is that he seems to use huge combos and supers without stopping. I rarely get the chance to attack. I can't ever pull off anything like this when I play as him even though I know those same moves. So the AI just seems to be cheating some how.

Is there anyway I could make him more fair?

Why would you make such a low-poly model? Since you don't have to worry about real-time rendering, you can go all out. His current jaggedness can be reduced.

I've seen much lower poly models. He defined fingers and such adding detail to them and many other things. Just outta curiosity how high is the poly count on your model?

I thought it was a decent game. I moved the game from my external hard drive to my main hard drive and I no longer had lag issues.
