Mainly berserker Touhou invincible spell casting projectiles everywhere plus SNK character attacks like Genocide Cutter and all that shit. Basically, not balanced at all.

in Before the eyes of raijin (BETA) (Started by LM_MAVERIK August 21, 2011, 02:04:20 amThis definitely is one of your best stages, if not the best one up to now. You've already taken it to the next level compared to your first stages. Can't wait to see how the final version will be like.
Just two little things I'd like to note :
- I already said it before, but I'll say it again : it would be really nice if the stages had super jump capability. When rendering your sprites, I don't think it's hard to go over the 480 pixels height limitation and render it with 600+ pixels. The delta trick would only be used in the X direction for 3D, so it wouldn't make the SFF dramatically larger, while allowing chars to be seen during high jumps. This may be especially useful in your full game where characters seem to jump like crazy at times.
- You said the sliding was fixed in the final version. However, there's a way to code that may even be better AND easier to code. Separate Raijin's hands from the floor layer and render the hands separate from the floor. Then, for the floor, just use a single sprite to which you'll apply parallax. If you don't know how to code parallax, ask ExShadow or Master Yoda, they're used to doing that. This way, you reduce the file size quite a bit (which is good for the processor too), and you ensure there's no sliding at all, without going crazy trying to figure out the correct deltas and stuff.
