Check the release specs, You can use LR, HR or futurs HD chars. You can use HR or HD stages. Just no more LR stages. Of course, HD screenpack is a new format too...

They will be released 01/01/2010. We will release SeiyaHR and FreezaHR before.
We will do betatesting ourself cause we experienced (fixed...) SeiyaHR and FreezaHR warhousing by an external betatester.

I'm following all the tutorials I can find, and doing what they say, but nothing happens. I change the Color '0' to hot pink, and save as a pcx. but when it's transfered into Mugen, the black color is transparent, and not the set color...

You think the development of the 2 first HD chars is a "pathetic excuse" to make a wallpaper ?  ??? So what is not a "pathetic excuse" for you ?  :-\
If you don't like us and don't like our work, don't come in our topic, don't download our work, stay in 640*480 and continue to "follow all the tutorials you can find". (A friend advice : try to find a tutorial "How to make honests, intelligents and constructives posts on forums"... ;D)

Super Asia, The wallpaper is True HD TV resolution (1080P). The res of the playable chars will be inferior to the wallpaper res (1080P is 1920*1080, BrokenMUGEN HD is 960P so 1280*960...) but the res of the playable chars are the native res of Blazblue chars, without upscaling or downscaling (like want to do people who want to make adaptation to winmugen plus).

We have a problem with our continue screen (editable only in the executable prog, not in a config file)... It take only 1/4 screen un the beta 2.
Do you know if "DC414" succed to fix this bug ?

The development have started few time ago, it will take some time...
We will release seiyaHR and freezaHR first.
But betas of the chars will be released when enough complete to be played  :D.

Yeah, excuse me  ;). I've checked fast but i think it's necessary to be a member of your site to access the wip... So it is not really a public release...
But it cancel nothing from the quality of dc414 work. :) You can tell him we are trying to fix the code for the continue, if he did it or have any idea to avoid bugs doing this, his advice is welcome :).

We have wip which are not edit, but they are not released yet.

N3go indicated me his work, but it is available on a site only for members and have not been released on any public mugen website, like mfg, MI or mugenchina...
Sang kalaza have a mugen universe D8 too, but it 's not available for public download too...
I didn't have the time to check your friend's work, but you can tell him we are very happy he develop HD mugen stuffs and we hope he will continue... :)

Because i'm a good guy, i will ask to Herbaliser an evaluation of the time necessary to make the adaptation. If it is few times and there is no unknown technical problem in prevision, maybe we will do it...

I don't ask you to be banned. An HD MVC3 screenpack is interesting, i didn't know it. I hope dc414 will develop lot of HD stuffs :).

I don't know. Honestly, we don't have it in project cause we don't have Ux os on our computers. I hope somebody will make an adaptation, technically it is not very hard, cause xbox is x86 instructions too.

Here we're not exactly using the main system of the broken mugen screenpack (system.def/system.sff).
But our first release was brokenmugenhr, the adaptation of two4teeze broken mugen screenpack to winmugen plus and we bought the domain brokenmugenhr.com to release it.

Because we use the brokenmugenhr.com url and because we have readapted stuffs used by two4teeze in the brokenmugen screenpack (even bad mofo fonts, tekken 4 music...) and few things made by two4teeze himself (broken98 lifebars, intro...) we've decided to call this engine broken mugen hd.

The initial engine name of this project was brokenmugenhr x² but we think the generic name for these new mugen format (D8) will be "mugen HD". It's a coherence problematic.
Others Mugen HD will probably exist. So the mugen HD of Brokenmugenhr.com (the first available :)) is Broken Mugen HD.

We know there is few HD stuffs but we just propose the first fixed engine to run them.

Soon, we will release SeiyaHR, it's an HR char, not an HD char.

All others guys who released "HD" stuffs for mugen were for winmugen plus.
street fighter HD remix i know well cause we are the official host is a winmugen plus engine, not a Mugen HD engine.
We got 4 times winmugen plus res. :sugoi:

The only other existing D8 project is mugen universe D8 by our friend Sang Kalazaa who's the guy who made the 2 HD stages we includes.
Mugen universe D8 is not yet available for download.

Yeah

antivir heuristic detection (comportemental detection, not virus signature) bug with our program (we don't understand why...). There is no problem with all others antivirus. We scanned the archive with 5 differents antivirus and nothing found, so we think antivir got a bug...

this isnt the first mugen hd engine  ::)  ... every mugen hd is usable .... not only this one  ::)


This is the first HD Mugen directly usable to play. As we now there is no others. We know there is a another D8 Mugen available too, but it is higly bugged and have a 640*480 select screen, not adapted to the HD resolution and taking 1/4 screen.
We know too than mugen universe (our friends, thanks again to sang kalazaa for the stages :)) prepare a screenpack based on this engine but it is not available for download, yet.

The original mugen is 320*240.

Winmugen Hires is 640*480.

BrokenMugen HD is the first usable 1280*960 engine (D8).

because mugenguild display our screenshots in 640*480, so you don't see difference with hires.

No, the engine doesn't  :D.

Even we could imagine most of the futur adapted chars and stages will be heavier than HR ones (4 times more pixels).

But, since the beta 1, we've reduce the speed from 4 to 1 in the mugen.cfg :

Yeah, you're right  ;)
For the interface epured style, first we like it (like we liked the "330 megs specs" style of SNK...)
Secondly because Menu and vs screen are "only" 640*480, our epured style minimize the difference when the game switch between 640*480 and 1280*960 select screen... Because there is no pixelisation in solid color screen, even it is in 640*480.
But i recognize that our tastes are subjectives... tastes and colours...
