i never asked him to show me how to actually code complicated stuff or asked him about : pls teach me infinite style or something.
read my damn first post before making such statements.pls dont turn around my words...

the only thing i wanted to know was why the pallete order dont save my changes since on 100  other different chars it always worked the way i was doing it and here not. and i asked kindly if he could tell me how to get rid of the ex moves and if im unable to get rid of them if i could send a pm so he can explain.

dont know why u all talking about some infinitestyle or something becuase the only thing i did was that i EXPLAINED that I  am going to make an edit out of this (so he knew that im making an edit out of his char, only said that because of respect), explained what I will change in my edit and i only explained it that so he can understand why i DONT want the ex moves.

and let me say one more thing and them im finally out of here because now its just gettin ridicoulus:

i KNOW that nobody owes me something or is in need to explain something to me or something its only fucking annoying to see that there are so many creators/coders thinking theyre something better in the way they speak to others.
it would have been enough if he just said : pls write me a pm and i will explain!
in the pm he could have written smth. like : pls understand im not able to explain to everbody how to code and im no ''mugen-teacher'' or something like that.

its only sad to see that almost all of the ''veterans'' here on guild acting so damn full of one's own importance that they forgot that they were ALSO noobs some years ago.
i mean in this specific egsample : would it have hurt to help a noob simply erase these damn ex moves when it takes me 2 min of my life?
NO! of course not!

its not about someone HAS to do something for me its more about NOBODY seems to be friendly and helping these days and on top acting cocky for thinking theyre so damn important.
i have teached almost everything i know about mugen to myself and i know one thing 4 sure:
once im able to code properly i will make it better and NOT acting like an ignorant asshole so i can help those who arent ''super-coders'' without saying : nahh..im way to important so i cant spend 2 min of my lifetime on him/here.

4 the record : its in byakkos thread but its not that i meant just him with that(or even all of this on him), its more about the experiences i made over a long time especially here at mugenguild on many memebers so dont take it to personal or whatever.

and I was the one that said 4 posts backwards : lets get back to topic...so lets talk about Jin because this whole thing here makes no sense..seriously

i just told u i was going to make an edit of this char and told what i was going to do not what you should teach me haha calm down dude.

because everyone is coding chars different and i thought it would be quicker and easier to ask the one who created it than to open a topic and ask somebody else since i only wanted to know how to remove the ex moves - nothing more or less -
sometimes i think many memebers here are acting very ''over the top'' and like there some kind of vip or something better..

if i was a coder and some newbie would tell me :

i really love your char,one of my favorite chars ever if i only knew how to get rid of the ex moves since all of my other chars are mvc styled...

It takes time. Learn and have patience. You're not going to learn how to code and remove EX moves in a day if you know nothing of the basics. Learn that it will take time, and learn to do it by yourself. Ask in the help forum when you have specific questions. Don't ask "teach me how to code".

i DO have learned how to get rid of the ex moves in one day,have added superjump,powercharge etc
so thanks for nothing again, you were just to lazy to simply edit this for me..after i knew how to do it only took 2-3 min.

ok ive opened it in ff3 but what exactly do i have to edit?
i typed in another pal in pal = 1 and saved it..dont work

ex moves:
ok i will try that..not completely sure if im able to do this since im an absolute beginner when it comes to coding (just manged to do basic things like switch pallette, edit some moves in attack power like hitdef 1 -- atck, make pallettes,switch portraits etc,add superjump,change super-bg etc )
but never understood this whole complicated coding with var and stuff..
am i alloud to send you a pm so you can eventually help me?

btw: just spoke about mvc/infinite style to make clear im not going to re-edit all the code or smth just wanted do little twerks here and there so its easier to pull of the supers (since my whole rooster is full of mvc-ish chars) so every char in my own compilation has the same commands to pull of the moves,every char has superjump etc u know :)
i would love to learn how to code properly but im german and honestly my english is far away from being ''good enough-to-understand-tutorials'' so yeahh.. :(

maybe one of the best characters ive ever seen in mugen

i thought i first ask here before opening a help thread because i was working on an edit of jin and i wonder how to remove the ex moves?
im a very beginner in coding/editing and stuff and thought i first ask the creator before asking others..

btw: ive noticed that sometimes the changes i made in the def arent saved properly?
 just tried to edit the pallette order and when im changing pal 1 to pal 2 f. example i start mugen and it remains the same.. -_-

just wanted to know how to change this and how to completely remove the ex moves (never liked ex moves because of the yellow flashing and im saving my super-bar for the ''real'' supers hrhr)
 
and i wanted to alter the cmd/cns a bit to play him more like mvc-ish/infinite style (mainly to pull of the supers like mvc style) and add  double jump,airdash,superjump.air combos etc
so f. example remove the parry special (named: ''power  stance'' i think) and swap with the double-run (~F, DF, D, DF then any kick) moves because i never get managed to time the parry so its very useless to me :D

i know how to alter the cmd/cns to change the moves but i just cant get managed to remove the ex moves and for some strange reason im unable to change the pallete becacause no matter what i type in pal = 1 line it remains the same.
would you be so kind and help me good sir?

i dont get it...is this for mugen 1.0 or for mugen 1.1?

ive tried to install it like it says in the readme but i cant see the fonts?
ive tried in mugen 1.0 and in 1.1 and both times the fonts wont show up
already kopied all of the fonts in fonts folder into windows/fonts and nothing changed..
in the readme it says its for april 2001 mugen version, in system def it says its for mugen 1.0 and in mugen cfg. file
it says its for 1.1 so now im really confused..

-a good new story mode and some people doing videos for it like the ending videos etc just for cutscenes  and the ability to da 2 vs 1, 2vs2 battles based on the storyline,maybe adding some tasks for specific battles like in tekken or dmc (enyms just hurt by air attacks,enemy or you are poisened,land 100 hits in 60 sec, etc)

-change costume in select screen (and having different costumes with different sprites so its not just another color) because a pink random songoku just looks gay and is boring  -_-  i wanna have special costumes like in any other fighting game

-animated ports/different fonts for specific categories (sf-style,kof-style etc)

-stage pre-viewer (that would be awesome) and not just like the ones that are out now i mean like in tekken you can switch to another window where you can see the stages with pictures

-unlockables,and hey..the battlepoints idea to buy/unlock stuff is cool thx for the inspiration :)

-the abbility to make chars show up in select screen but to disable them for randomselect (kinda unfair if you do a random match and get the boss with more life and attack) its another thing when you have 2-3 boss chars in your select screen and say to a friend: hey lets do a boss vs boss fight but thats not the regular case for a fighting game so it would be better if you could seperate that.

-the ability to set up the arcade mode like you cant face yourself (always hated this just for logical reasons) so you cant play ryu vs ryu in arcade mode and myabe adding the ability to have some cutscenes or something special when you do a ''rival'' fight (not just a special intro i mean special music,some flashy fonts showing up or something

-ranking menue.. so you can enter it per options menue and it could show up afetr you did an arcade playthrough like in soul calibur 4-5 for example


--pause button mapped to game pad with exit option  AND the most amazing thing : a ''moveslist'' ingame for each character so you can read the cmd in  game in pause menue or elecbyte could just set another file so you just have to write down the commands and in game the engine ''reads'' this txt file for each char so no more exiting and going under the chars folder or even open ff to just look up some moves (god damn i hate it)

- i dont know how to excactly say in english but:
 the ability to make stages with a 2nd and 3rd floor?
like in dead or alive or tekken or other games so you can interact with the stage..jump to another floor, knock the enemy through  a window so you
can have 2-3 stages ''combined'' in one


oh and the ability to remove the zoom feature from 1.1 version at least to toggle them on/off since i like it more when i have a good sight at my stages and not that much chaos like it is now.. i mean some stages use screenfit 1 others have zero some are just to play in that way others like this etc..
it would play much better if you just could turn it off and fight just the regular way like in 1.0 but with 32bit color stages

ok so here is some more feedback:

-since im no coder i dont know if this is something special or easy to edit but i noticed he can get beaten in the air very easy.
like when you playing against some pots or infinite chars i m unable to move or guard in the air and almost everytime i jump i get hit and whooped my ass up
kinda saying he has an a weakness to air combos..

same for time lying on the ground--

god damn...just noticed on my 4th playthroug HOW MANY supers he have hahahahha :D
i really enjoyed all of these moves but somehow i think they are toooo many of them for lvl1 supers..

maybe you could make a new scheme like : lvl 1 D,DB,FB,x-z (lion attack)
                                                                              lvl 2 same as above (do it twice) x+z (Raging storm)

Lvl 3 supers i would suggest c+z thing but swap ''youdontknowitbutyouralreadydead'' with ''unleash the ryuuken it looks much more like a lvl3 super..

btw unleashtheryuuken could use some pause because when your enemy is not totally retarded  every human beeing and alsmost every AI could cancel his move because of the long waiting time until the move hits unless youve done a stunning move before (but ryuuken has no stun move)
so you can make it a reversal move or just make the enemy freeze when he ''loads'' his attack

what about adding supercharge? i think the unleashtheryuuken-stance when he hits the enemy would fit perfectly for that :)

still think u should erase the attackofmechs move completely since it really looks out of place.
the uppercut move from nash is unessecary too i think (but thats only my tase)

oh yeah and maybe you could swap the d,b,z twohand-warp-attack with the one from vyns evilryu (same command) when he loads his energy and tackles his enemy?
would play and look much better.

the supercombo move where u use the ''bullettime'' like in matrix and he kicks his enemy against the wall could be faster...looks like a bit lagging not slowmo immo..also the ''flashing'' in the backgrounds doesnt look good at all in my opinnion..it would be better without it i think

gouakuma (aka shadowakuma) move has a reeaaallyyy short range...maybe you can make this one a reversal move or make it more range?

still thinking the masterspark should be changed since it always irritates me like: damn such a good super attack and then this rainbow thing..
sry but just looks like gayuuken :D
also you could give 1-2 seconds more when the pictures of oni etc are away so when can actually see Oni Gouken etc and not like:
baaamm here we are and swoossshhhh we are away :D i d like to enjoy this epic moment :D

same as above for the udontknowbutyourealready dead pink fx...really looks odd

he has no normal hadouken move?

he definatly needs superjump and running for more combo abilitys...
and by superjump i mean the ability to double jumpo and dash in air not just like now
(think your regular superjum is very high and in-fight hard to pull off if you compare to infinites creations f. example)


so i think thats all ive noticed for the moment :)
hope you can do something with these feedback

nearly anything you can get from infinite :)
for me they are the most fun-to-play-with chars which combine almost every aspect i like in fighting games.
6 button gameplay,superjump,chain combos,air-combos,cool supers and special moves,fast,well coded etc.

under SvK releases and IFF releases

anything by Infinite
u dont have to registrate to download

That's not a Rainbow Hadouken, that's a Master Spark. *inserts random smiley*[/touhoufanboy]
But all jokes aside, I do have to agree that the robot assault super looks out-of-place and random. In short words, it doesn't fit Ryuken's theme of being a shoto-kan/karateka/whatever.

ok im not a coder so remeber this is user feedback:

-really dont like his new stance (looks a bit odd i think)

-the new super (with all these robots in the background) doesnt seem to ''fit in'' since it looks a bit futuristic and he could be a badass boss char for cvs games and so on (maybe swap with a super-ryuuken-kamehameha shit or something ) :D

-the super move where he first hit his enemy then a pink fx fireball hits the enemy - does it relly have to be pink?
i mean...ryuuken shouldnt shoot pink balls..(would be better if all of his fx were like in the same color like the golden ones and blue)

- he feels a bit stiff..i mean when i fight him against any other good coded mvc,cvs,vyn,pots or infinite char hes waaayyy to slow in his attacks and the cpu's beating da shit out of me

-same for his A.I...he doesnt have any A.I..just standing around getting hit and 1-2 single punches does not fit well to a boss like ryuuken

- could use some different variation on super moves power... the super where he ''summons'' oni etc looks really great but it cost just 1 superbar and does wayyyyy to little damage..maybe make some moves like lvl 2 or 3 supers

with a few more edits and twerks this could be such a great char...but immo hes feeling a bit like : yeah then i took this one and add these and make him that..but its not feeling like he ''fits'' togehter...worst point immo is his feeling to be stiff...could use some more speed and combo abillitys like the infinite or vyn chars (superjump and running animation would be also nice)

ok so here are my questions:


1-where can i edit the time the ''winner'' screen is shown after ive beaten my enemy? not the winning screen with the quotes, the regular one in game when youre still on the stage? because now its like: hey youve won and IMMEDIATELY the next battle starts..i wanna enjoy at least 3-4 seconds the winning pose

2- is it possible to play sound during continue screen>?

3- how do i ''extract'' a continue screen from one SP to another?

4- same question just for victory screen

5-how do i edit a screenpack like when i dont like some sprites used etc/ what programs do i need, how do i do that , any recommended tutorials?

hey guys...does anybody have the newest version of kyo by infinite BEFORE he gets the update with hi-res sprites?
i think he looks odd since all his other chars have their normal lowres ones..
i remembered he had an alpha version of him online and afterthat for a short time the actual final version just WITHOUT the hi-res sprites.

im a huge fan of the infinite characters so i was  just wondering if there are other characters/creators like infinite/R@ces's creations with 6 button gameplay,superjump etc beside the well known mvc chars?
