I looked at Hol's horse, and the sprites are great -- the problem is that there aren't enough of them in the poses needed to cover all of Dora's moves.  But damn it would be great to have her horse part drawn that way.

I released Dora in the releases section, please take a look.  Kiwi told me that maybe this summer he'll have some time to draw more sprites.  He's just really busy unfortunately.

Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder is one of the best, if not the best, in the series.  The goal was to convert Dora into MUGEN so she is compatible with the Golden Axe: Duel characters.   I did this by combining Kiwi's original sprites he created with Dora's actual game sprites.  And even more edits to create a standing animation.  It's not perfect, but it's the best I can do for now.  To add crouch attacks, etc I need a spriter to help me. 

I am also including her unedited sprites so if you wish to swap them in and reduce her size she can fit in with old school Golden Axe chars.  UPDATE:  Scroll down the thread and you'll find the link to download OLD SCHOOL DORA

If you have time now to patch the char/ fix the CLSN's, you not only have my blessing you also have my gratitude.  I would get around to it eventually, but I'm a bit overwhelemd with work and my other projects. 
And if you do it, please give yourself credit on the read me and DEF.

I've been talking with kiwi on facebook about this actually.  He knows I'm working on it.  This isn't a release, and when the time comes of course I'll give credit where it's due.  The problem now is that he's busy with school for a long time, and can't make more sprites.  So I ripped all the sprites from Golden Axe and then added the textures from those to kiwi's to make them match.  The next phase will be to sprite kiwi's face onto the Golden Axe sprites, so when all is said and done the blend will be more seamless.

All the coding is in place, she has all her moves with the exception of crouch attacks.  Since Dora has no crouch attacks in Golden Axe, there are no existing sprites for those.

But really we need kiwi or another spriter who can match the same style to come in and smooth things out more - and do those crouch attacks.  Hopefully kiwi will see it's not too much work, and get inspired to do it.  If not, hopefully someone else who loves the character as much as we do will want to do it.

Heh, no worries!  The problem with Mr. Jones is that he's a comedic character, too goofy.  And he's not wearing a karate uniform.  Hence the need to sprite the afro onto Takuma and create a more authentic Mr. Williams for Enter the Dragon.

Too late now:P  Took me days to add that afro to every sprite and I simply can't bear the thought of doing it again.  And honestly, I had no idea Takuma was old -- looking at the sprites, he looks the right age to me.  Plus, Takuma's fighting style and moves fit Williams to a T.

Appreciate all the feedback!

Cybaster, someone should pay you for all the in-depth analysis/beta testing you do man --- really helpful stuff!  And yes, that damn tornado wasn't just hard to rip, it was virtually impossible to get the move to even come out.  Great idea about using Higashi's tornado -- I'd have to scale it up, this thing is supposed to be huge.

No, check out Binho's Gillius Thunderhead and Mike Obrecht's Death Adder if you want more MUGEN Golden Axe: Duel chars.

As for Demon Lord's Kain Blade, I don't even know if his site is still active.  You could try joining and IM the admins there and ask what the deal is.  I used to be a member but last summer it said I wasn't anymore when I tried to log in.

Oh, as to Keel's victory animations -- the sprites are a pain to rip, there is text that flies in and covers him up.  But I could get his other victory pose sprites  with some effort for a future update.

Kain isn't a straight conversion, he's mostly accurate but has a custom Milan Flare helper and his super is missing sprites from the game (probably because it's virtually impossible to rip).

There's certainly room in MUGEN for someone to do a new Kain from scratch.

Bro, I wish I could send him, I really do, but Demon Lord doesnt want his characters released so I have to honor his wishes -- even though I disagree with the concept of keeping stuff private.  Which is why I share everything I make. 

I will try and contact him and see if he's changed his mind about releasing it.

Demon Lord made Kain Blade.  Unfortunately, he hasn't released it publicly.  Originally, to download his characters, you had to join his site, Mugen Legion I believe, and post 600 times etc.  No idea if that's still the case.
