Mountain (PC ver., Steam)

Love that I can just leave this on in the background while I do my school work and random crap will just occasionally land on my mountain.  My favorite things so far have been a phonograph that plays actual old-timey songs and a heart that makes heart-shaped dust explods when you pick it up and drop it back on your mountain.  Also, I accidentally threw a sword off into the black vastness of space so  :-\

Yo that stage is awesome. It should be in Mugen.

I was in the process of ripping the Saturn versions a while back, but I suppose that's fallen by the wayside.  Not to say that I won't return to them or any of my other projects, but (free) time will determine that. :)

ANYHOO BACK TO SCREENSHOTS YES

Little Mac can eat all the dicks. It's impossible for me right now to get a proper matchup going against him with certain characters (looking at you, Ganondorf). >:(  Any tips, fellows? Other than that, I'm enjoying online mode a lot more than I thought I would.

Just watched Videodrome for the first time last night.

A wonderful mindfuck of a movie (am I allowed to say mindfuck?). Also, Naked Early '80s Debbie Harry and Naked James Woods.

No mention of Bomberman yet? :p Anyways, Super Bomberman 4 for the SNES or Mega Bomberman for the Genesis are highly recommended!

Edit: okay you did mention Bomberman :p

Also, Micro Machines for the NES.

New crouch sprite WIP.  Nowhere close to being satisfied with it (I think it's the foreshortening on Billy's left/viewer's right arm), but at the least, it's a good start? (I hope.)  Edit: Made some tweaks to the crouch and posted it for comparison's sake.

Next on the list: both standing and crouching turning sprites, as well as a proper walking anim to go along with the new stance.  I'll be looking at Double Dragon Neon for walking references since I think that game's walking animation goes well with the new stance.

Testing out an idea for a stance.  Terribly lazy, I know.  :P  Based on the idea that the Lee brothers never really had much movement in their stances, AND it kind of goes along with the Bruce Lee water quote, making for another Double Dragon/Bruce Lee connection! (Kind of.)  (Okay, I just may be reaching there.)  I'll sketch out a more active stance later and see how that goes...

Speaking of the stance, I just realized I may have to go with new walk anims.  At this point, I'm looking at Double Dragon Neon for inspiration on that point.

As for further palette separation, I think it might be a good idea, just for glove/wrist tape palettes a la Double Dragon Neon.  It wouldn't be that much work anyways, and at the pace I'm going with these sprites, it wouldn't affect the workrate that much, haha.

SPECIAL MEGA UPDATE (not really)

Whipped up a more animated version of the stance. Feedback, if anyone is so inclined? :)

RESURRECTION~!

So my semester's been over for a couple of weeks now, and I'm just now trying to get back into making progress on this thing, in between doing real-life things.  So here's Super Double Dragon's block adapted into DD1 NES style.  I wouldn't call it finished, 'cause nothing's ever quite finished. :)

More sprites to eventually follow! (I promise!)
