Yeah, pretty much, you're gonna have to "fake" the random behavior.  Somewhat ironically, you'll have to be very specific with the BGCtrls to achieve the intended effect.

As for simulating jumping, you can try Sin.Y coding, but again, using BGCtrls to control the speed on a tick-by-tick basis, if you need to get that specific.  Another method you could use for jumping could be adjusting the Y-axis value on an anim element, again on a tick-by-tick basis.  These are the two methods that come to mind off the top of my head.

Being one of the older ones around here, I can safely say Cyanide is pretty much the only one I've never seen lose his temper, keeping it about the engine, and always willing to teach and learn. Definetly someone worth emulating.

Pretty much came by to say this.  I don't ever recall Cyanide being anything BUT patient and more than willing to share his knowledge, even in those dark "CLOSED SOURCE DON'T YOU EVEN DARE THINK ABOUT TOUCHING MY CODE" days.

Yeah, I was hoping for parallax, or glowing effects at the least, especially since it's basically a single-image stage.  Most of the 43-meg archive is just the MP3 :/

Thanks to TCRF.net for the article and image which I used to convert this hidden unused stage from Street Fighter 1 into MUGEN.  Includes parallax floor AND sky!  Also includes the Bonus Stage music from the PC-Engine/Turbografx-16 version of the game.

Find it at my site, naturally. Click on the leftmost sig image or the globe under my avatar to get there. Enjoy.

Yep. Stages.  And these are 1.0 EXCLUSIVE, due to scaling and whatnot for the proper screen ratio experience.

First off, here's a rarity from me: an "original" stage, made from two different SNES basketball games. Includes parallax, reflections, animations (which are also reflected), and Super Jump support.  Also includes music from a Sega Genesis basketball game for some reason.

And here's my favorite stage from Doomsday Warrior/Taiketsu! Brass Numbers.  It's a pretty accurate conversion, with parallax and screen scrolling as in the original game.

Find both of them at my site, of course! Click on the leftmost sig image or the globe under my avatar to go there. Enjoy.

I do like the BGs in the game, mainly because I'm partial to DBZ scenery.  I wonder if they're stored in a format that'll be as easy to rip as Asura Cross' BGs were.

wooo, thanks for letting me know, Iced!  That's even less work that I have to do now. :D

Guardian Heroes (XBLA version)

Bought this months ago, finally had time recently to actually finish it.  I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I did on the Saturn... and that says a lot.  The updated sprites are lovely, controls are spot-on, and the rewritten dialogue gives the characters a lot more personality (ex: Glute and the thieves).  There's lots to do in order to truly "complete" it, from finding all story branches/endings to unlocking characters for the Arena/Arcade mode.  Wasn't able to do any Live multiplayer though, since I don't have a Gold subscription at the moment. :(  Even without extra companions, it's still possible to make it through Story mode on Normal by yourself in as little as a half-hour (and a little practice, of course).

Anyways, HIGHLY recommended if you love Treasure/beat-em-ups/juggling chaos.

Ohhhh, I thought they were Steam codes! Seriously didn't occur to me that they were 360 download codes, haha.

AFAIK, 360 Live codes should still work.  Sometime last year I bought a used copy of Gears 2 that had an unused 2-day Live code from launch, which I redeemed pretty much immediately.

Also, walt, I would be on one of those Dead Space codes if my PC weren't shit. :/

Speaking of recycled moves, I think I remember seeing the "knee to back" portion of Noob Saibot's X-Ray used in one of Wonder Woman's amazon assist moves?  Don't recall which video it was, though.

Now I kind of want it to be Daily Planet Clark, Casual Bruce and Business Lex as DLC characters, simply on the basis that people were clamoring for Supes and Bats to be in their original suits for the game.  :eaugh:

Something about Skullo Dream/Neo Skullo Dream:

http://i.imgur.com/AHLHUhp.png

This happens in any stage with foreground objects. Though they return to normal after the move is finished, I think it's worth a look.

I think that's more likely due to the stage itself, since it looks like there's nothing but empty space behind that layerno = 1 object, and that the layerno = 1 objects are masking that empty space. Have you turned on debugbg to see if that particular part of the stage turns pink while the hyper effects are active?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was something similar to the Combobreakers in MK, complete with a limiter of some sort to prevent abuse.

Any idea of whom those DLC silhouettes could be?  They're honestly too vague (i.e. GENERIC SUPER POSE) for me to glean anything from them.  And Flashpoint was what basically started the New 52, right?  I remember reading the TPB courtesy of my local library and seriously not liking the entire story at all... :(
