A sound Problem

I know I know, I have a problem with my mugen..... --;

But anyway, does anybody know how to increase the sound of .OGG (In this case My stage music)?
My characters are louder than the music, and I have genuine game songs that really match the stages, and it would be grand to hear the stage music louder than the characters.

Thanks

Does the Audacity work for .OGG? For the stage music, that is? and even so, how do you use Audacity to fix the problem?

Yeah I agree with Djoulz, but with OGG, it may sound lower, oh well.
However, one thing is to make sure that when you put the song on there,
make sure its in the sound directory, and that you put
sound/(Song name here).mp3/.ogg/.wav/.etc.....on the desired file

Okay this is for anybody that can help....

Back then when I had a windows 2000, with Hi-res mugen (I know, bad combo),
and It worked half the time. Up until October 3rd of 2009 (Happy New Year BTW  ;D),
I got Windows Vist Home Premium, and didn't play it on that OS. 2 Months later, its december,
and I finally get my free Windows 7 upgrade, and now I play it. Works great, until A part of the screen (the left side) is not shown. So now, I cant see 2 chars on my char select screen, and I cant see part of the action fullscreen. Can anybody help?

That could also be it. Are you sure you're using winmugen plus?

uhh, one reason might be that there is no HIres = 1 in the stageinfo.

go to the hi-res stage's .def, and go down until you see this.

[StageInfo];-----------------------------------------------------------

zoffset = 216
autoturn = 1
resetBG = 1

under the rset BG thingymajiggy,
there is no HIres = 1.

some stages have this..

[StageInfo];-----------------------------------------------------------

zoffset = 216
autoturn = 1
resetBG = 1
hires = 1

it has hires = 1, but not HIres = 1.

to MAYBE solve your problem as noted above, it should look like this....

[StageInfo];-----------------------------------------------------------

zoffset = 216
autoturn = 1
resetBG = 1
HIres = 1

As you seee in my DMktemple, stage by DooM, my HIres is under the rest of the
stage info stuff. make sure that is say HIres = 1, and not hires = 1. THis might help.

Ok I see it now. I always wondered why people did that on the net.
I personally see the U.S. titles more fit than the Japanese.
And I only said Master Bison because Juni,or Juli from Street Fighter
Alpha 3 Max said that, but I guess Major sounds Better.
Thanks for clearing that up for a SF fan.

Now, can anyone tell me why Sean isn't one
SF IV? ;P

There are a few ways to approaching this extra.

If you want to put it on the menu, select screen and versus...

[Music]
 ;Put a filename for a MOD, MP3 or MIDI here, or just leave it
 ;blank if you do not want music. If an invalid filename is
 ;given, then no music will play. To play CD audio, put
 ;the track number followed by ".da". For example, to play
 ;track 3 from a music CD at the title screen, use:
 ;  title.bgm = 3.da
 ;To play mymusic.mp3 from the sound/ directory, put:
 ;  title.bgm = sound/mymusic.mp3
 ;Music will continue to play between screens if the files names
 ;are the same, and both BGMs are specified to loop.
  ;Music to play at title screen.
title.bgm = sound/firefield.mp3
title.bgm.loop = 1        ;Set to 0 to prevent looping
  ;Music to play at char select screen.
select.bgm = sound/firefield.mp3
select.bgm.loop = 1
  ;Music to play at versus screen.
vs.bgm = sound/firefield.mp3
vs.bgm.loop = 1

THis is in System.def found in data folder. As you see, put your music in the sound folder, and then you go to the music section of your system.def file, and put sound/(insert song).mp3 in the .bgm slot desired. I usesd SSBB's Fire Field.

For Characters,

kfm, stages/mybg.def, music=sound/song.mp3

Here, go to select.def, and choose your desired character for the song. Put a comma (,) and then a space, and type music=sound/(insert song).mp3, and you have his/her song.

For Stages,

[Music]
bgmusic  = sound/GLedit.mp3
bgvolume = 220

For your stages, choose a desired stage's .def file, and go down until you see a Music area like so. Type your sound/(and of course your music), and even set the volume below the bgmusic slot.

That should cover it.  :2thumbsup:

I am SeanV2, and I have had plenty of mugen screenpacks, and lots of characters, but I just recently switched to Hi-res Mugen, and it is great......
 :)
But I have a little problem, since I am still a newbie. --; My music I put on here run for like 5 seconds, and then it chops up. I saw some music fixer on the site, and it worked, but it screwed with my configuration, and I didnt like that. I tried Il-mad50, Il-mad, Il-mp3, and even Il-Mp3pro, but it still comes out choppy, or it just doesnt play. Can someone help me, (and also tell me why Sean isnt on Street Fighter IV  ;P)

Thanks a Million,
SeanV2

It's a good Character, but it seems pretty week. Do you think you can up the damage rates? It's Gouken, he has to be strong.

Just a Question, Why did you say "Mike Bison"? If you are talking about the boxer, it's Balrog.
The guy in the red, the Shadaloo leader is MASTER Bison. Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max points that out.
