Er, Jumping over isnt very Nightmare-ish...It would make him too light then.
his speed has been called too slow and too fast, so I guess that falls more on preference from my observations...
I agree with you on the jumping point, but that's another result of his lack of speed.
In SC he would turn around and take an eternity to drag his sword to hit the opponent.
It'd take a while to rip those sprites, but it would definitely improve his playability and appearance.
Remember, take your time on such projects.

Just some quick minor stuff from what I remember about SC:
If you wanted to make it as accurate as possible, Knightmare should be a hell of a lot slower, but I guess you could always rename it Knightmare on Crack.
I see that the jumping problem has already been mentioned, but jumping over the enemy and aerial attacks should definitely be implemented.
Definitely slap in at least one taunt.
Other than that, he seems to be a solid character with a decent set of sprites.

Is there perhaps a hi-res Ryu that was ever created?
Searched all over the forums for one, but no results showed up.
Doesn't matter if it's evil, SPO, or whatever.
