WOW, this is a really good character! I'm not really a fan of the DBZ series but damn this is a good character. I can already tell he's going to be even better when its 100% finished! :)

His hyper combo that takes 3 bars (dont really know the name)  --; Is like the first time I've seen that happened. (The animation where you see Goku flying towards you) AWESOME!  :sugoi:

It really shows MUGEN's full potential right there!  ;D

Nice job!

What trigger do I put for the win pose that is supposed to be triggered only when the round is over, not the full match?

I know you put trigger1 = MatchOver = 1 for the final win pose, but what about the regular round pose?

I have one "Win Pose" that I would like to be triggered when my character wins a round. Then I have one other "Win Pose" that I would like to be triggered when my character wins the match.

Yes, I tried looking in the "triggers html" in the docs, and I did come across "Win" "WinKO" and whatnot, but which do I use? I've played with the triggers for a wile... and I still cant get it to work. I end up making the "Win Poses" not work at all.

Any help?  :S

Is there any way I can separate states? This is why I'm asking. I have an animation specifically for when  my character loses by "TIME OVER"

But when my character loses in survival, he does the same animation as when he loses by "TIME OVER"

I know the "Lose by Time Over" goes with Begin Action #170, and I'm assuming "survival" shares this animation with "Lose by Time Over", but is there anyway I can get "survival" loss with a different animation than my "Lose by Time Over" Or vis-versa?

Thanks!  8)

Music/Sound

I am using "Win Mugen Plus" and I do understand that this MUGEN does have many sound problems from the start... so plug-ins are required (if you want sound quality to improve)

Now my main question is this. I was wondering what would be the best solution for fixing the Music/Sound on my MUGEN. This is why im asking...

- I have a plugin that stops music from skipping, but it doesn't help the music play every time. As in, if you were to start a regular arcade right when you open up your MUGEN, the title music is playing, then when you finish the arcade and go back to the title screen, there is no longer any music playing. Or like when you choose your character, and you go to the "VS screen" no music plays when there is supposed to be music there.

- On the other side, I have a plugin that keeps the music playing every time, every "VS Screen", but doesn't help the music stop skipping.

I tried putting these two plugins both in my mugen.cfg to see weather they can fix both problems, aswell as other plugins, but no, it just depends on what the first plugin is on the list to work.

So any suggestions would be great. Maybe tell me how your MUGEN is set-up.
And please dont just reply saying "get mugen 1.0" I understand that 1.0 has a WAY better sound configuration aswell as numerous other things. But I still like working with Win Mugen, I like sticking with the basics.  --;

Thank you...

Zooming In?

Is there any way the add a zoom in effects to a move? I know this is possible because the new Gouken (SF4) has this zoom in effect when his "SHIN SHORYUU KEN" is performed.

Thanks...

(All im really asking is just for a zoom code, so that I can add this to my hyper combo)
Seems simple, but is it?  o_O

Where Do I put that code at?
The reason im asking is because I see others chars BG, they have it under their statedef, not the "Statedef - 3" at the bottom?

Just want to make sure...

And also, what do you mean by "hyper states" Hyper combo states or the hyper combo bg state?

I've been trying to figure this out myself to save the hassle of posting a topic here, but I really cant seem to figure out how. I just end up messing up my character or something.  :-X

Anyways...

How can I add a finishing BG when I finish my opponent off with a hyper combo? Example: MvC characters all have the classic colored explosions when done a hyper combo finish.  :S

I have my animation ready with Begin Action #, just need to know how to put it in.

(NOTE: I've tried looking in other chars cns files that have a finishing BG and tried to copy the code the best I can and just replace the animation with mine, but it still confuses me in a different way.)

Wait! What if my character doesn't have a -3 Statedef? I looked at kfm's cns files, and his are all the way at the bottom. But I cant seem to find one on my character.  o_O

How can I add a damage sound whenever my character takes a hit. As in, when took damage, he groans or yells. I have the sound file ready, just need to know how/where to insert it.  :)

Is there anyway to add this to my character?

I'm trying to add a "LieDown Hit (hit up into air)" to my character, basically when he is knocked to the floor and the opponent hits him again wile he is still laying on the floor. You know...

But I really dont know how to add this to him. I know it has to deal something with the AiR file, but how?  :-\

Thank you...

Re: Character Releases: Zim has released! (with the updates of Mr. Bean and Stimpy)

April 14, 2011, 05:17:54 am View in topic context

I'm a big fan of the "Invader Zim" show... but I really dont think this character is ready for release. Nanashi_1337 has a point with the attacks and sprites... they need a little bit more fixing and adjustments.  :-\

Im usually not this picky about characters, but Zim really needs to be worked on a little more. I also dont feel the MvC in him... I really diden't know if he was supposed to be MvC styled, but im just assuming because of his sprites.

Nice creativity though.  8)

I have a few more questions before I end this topic...

1. Like I told Cyanide, how can I make the "helper" wait until the animation is done until I can do the helper again? So that way my character doesn't spam.

2. Can I make the helper in the back layer, so that way its not in front of everything in its path?

3. How can I make my opponent fly into the air after he gets hit by the bomb?

The rest I can look up in the docs folder.... these three are just what im a little stuck on...  :-X

And then I should be good...  8)
I also would like to give thanks to all of you who helped me... Im finally going to finish my character!  :sugoi:
