I tried downloading Jedah sprites from the darkstalker link on the first page, it says files are missing, i guess they are no longer on the server?

I would like to atleast see a confirmation of the starting characters in the game, they can keep the extra characters a secret if they want, but i want some hard facts/news with this new site.

Err... it's not Hyper Fighting. It's Super Turbo. Hyper Fighting = SF2'T = SF2.3. Super Turbo = SF2.5.
not to mention of all the SF saga, 2 is the most retarded one.

Having characters like the FF series, they re-hash the one with all the losers ... Dee Jay, Honda, Blanka ...
That's your opinion. Mine is that SF2's wonderful and encompasses everything that's great about the genre. Later games had fancier graphics and more gimmicks, but SF2 has everything that counts.

And Dee Jay, Honda, and Blanka are losers? :/

That just goes to show how after having Street Fighter II shoved down my throat for 10 years does to you. They all are the same, with Turbo having "Supers" and the last 4 newcommers playable. It's still SFII, regardless.

Fucking boring.

But I digress, half of you are gonna run out, and buy this as soon as it comes out. Maybe some of you wanna rip sprites, which is fine. In the end, it gives Crapcom the impression you want more of this bullshit tossed our way, just like ANTHOLGY, SFAlpha Kaizer Zeta Upper 3 x 2, and the what not. Haha.

so NOT supporting it is gonna give us a brand new game?

umm... As I see it, if gamers support this remake, Capcom will think that fans will buy any mediocre game with SF chars on it and they will continue releasing horrible games like Capcom Fighting Jam and many,many remakes of all the old SF games.

so i guess you would rather not support it and let it all die together right?

think about it, if they realize there IS still a market for SF, they will continue to put more effort into it as they see more sales return from it, thats how anything works...

While it's cool to get ANYTHING Street Fighter related (and 2-D at that), I wish Capcom would devote this energy in a true next installment of the Street Fighter series, or any 2-D game for that matter.

this is a test, if you all support this remake, then it will show capcom they can take another chance with the SF franchise, and could mean more games in the future, small steps first, if you blow this game off, your not getting anything in the future.

well, all we can do is give capcom the benefit of the doubt, and hope this has good intentions for things down the road. since they did say something along the lines of, if this does well, it could decide what more they do with sf down the line.

BTW i want to establish a beta tester program for ShugenDo.
So beta testers would have accsess to the recents beta of ShugenDo
and do not have to wait for the next release.So it would be possible to fix bugs faster.

Do you have variables implimented yet? cause they dont seem to work. the hyper background for my rock does not show up correctly in shugendo, whenever my ken gets knocked down, his recovery animation loops, im guessing i have to change something in his air file to work with shugendo.  ken's shippu jinrai kyaku super doesnt even start up.

seriously as a competitive player i have come across this plenty of times. personally i think just break it to them if they keep complaining,keep telling you advice, keep calling your tactics cheap or gay, just break it down youll feel better to tell them scrubs whats really good.

its amazing really, I zone well with sent/cable in mvc2, too many times random people i play call me "cheap". they say shit like "get out of the air and fight me like a man" ROFL, i just smile and keep playing.  then after the match i try and tell them that zoning is an important part of the game and you need to learn how to counter it, it isnt as cheap as you think. then they just say "yea whatever its cheap". i dont care for those type of people. even though i always beleive we as 2d fighters should try and help the community grow and stay strong, its people like those you have to let go of, because they dont understand the work and dedication it takes to get good at these games. they think 2d = simple.

in MVC2 i never loos to noobs, its so hard to loose to them, it is true that you have to play them differently, because the randomness can mess you up alot if your use to playing people who know what thier doing, but in the end if i do get caught off guard and they kill my first character(storm) , I usually switch my style up and play them very differently with sentinel and cable, dont even get me started on cable, he is like my noob killer, cause usually noobs are button mashing, so they dont block...then...BAM!...gun shot xx schimitar xx AHVB x3 GG!

It will be sever based and i am thinking of online packs.
So every one should have the same online pack.

An online pack descripes a set of chars which every one have to have.
It is a bit difficult to implement char downloading from each other because it would
be with out the premission of the char author....
Well aint online packs gonna require permission from creators?
Since online packs automaticly supose u are using someones char


My idea is to automaticly download the char from the other player via IP in a folder called temp (or whatever) and after the network session is over the temp folder becomes empty

Doing so u (I) do not remain with chars u wouldn't want :D ....
What do u think?

And i really don't like the idea with a server since it would be a lot more easyer to have a direct connection with someone from my own city (block) then through a server from Argentina (or Bulgaria).

but you have to think of the people who would connect for a game session just to get chars into the temp folder and then copy them over to thier mugen folder before the session ends....
