So...new features? This is causing the delay..I'm sure it will be well worth the wait but I still can't help but wonder when it will grace the world...any ideas guys? And are you able to shed light/details on these "new features"? I'm already about to explode since it's been a long 2+ months of waiting for me...and countless others!

Hey there Rivox. How have you been?? I really can't say what's new because we want everyone to be surprised once the release hits. Two4Teezee finished one of these surprises already. The second one is currently being worked on at the moment as everyone's hands are full. I would assume Two4Teezee is busy as I haven't heard from him for about a week or so.

No worries guys. I can't stress that enough. I'm happy to see people stoked on this project, impatiently awaiting its release. So with that said, you guys have nothing to worry about. The release you're all looking for is imminent and its going to blow the doors off of your Mugen!!

Indeed. It's August 26th. Where's BrokenMugen?? What's causing the delay??

Two great new features. One is just about completed, and another is being.... discussed.... at the moment. Let me assasure all of you that the wait is worth it and everyone is going to be impressed just as much as they were when BrokenMugen first came out. I think that impression is going to be doubled with what's new.

It sucks that my originally intended launch window hasn't been met. But man, is the delay worth it. Trust me.

I remember playing Rival Schools and looking at Batsu and Roy as Ryu and Ken. It would be great to see Roy sprited as a Mugen Character.

And Claire is a no brainer. I'm curious to see how the polls end up.

Not trying to sound like a leecher but, I'm a very humbled fan of your works and style. Question do you have a release window on the public version yet. Also, pal's look very good for this build of the character, I like the shade on them.

(Off-Topic question!....When will we see a public version Jin, just asking since it's rare to get such good quality characters.

I'm with Boss on this off topic question. Will Jin see a single release?? He looks even better in Altly's hands, so a solo release would be amazing. I want. Badly. Pretty please??

Will the Mesh Lifebars come included with the screenpack though?

Absolutely Rivox. Remember, they are already included with the WinMugen version, so all I did was correct coordinates in the .def file so that everything appears aligned for 640x480 resolution. Everyone who already has BrokenMugen can use them by changing "fight.def" to "fightM.def." They really are rad. I like them a bit better than the default ones. Give them a shot if you havent already!!

Ah.... the beauty of Mugen. Options. Options. Options. Im quite pleased with the reactions gathered with our new 120 Select.def. Authors should give future projects options like this. Freedom is a good thing.

Thanks Oxe. I'm really proud of what I have contributed to the Mugen community, even if it was a simple upgrade of a humongous amount of badass .PCX files.  ;D

Seriously though, a hats off goes to Two4Teezee for applying all of these incredible additions and tweaks: he has been doing a jaw dropping job with everything he puts his hands on. It's been a pleasure working with such a great author/creator for all of this time.

To say that all of your minds are going to be blown is a gigantic understatement. And seriously guys, you just HAVE to use the Mesh Lifebars once this release hits. They rock.

They're probably busy. All I can guess is that not much progress has been made lately or that they're close to finishing and will just wait to announce a release. Either way just be patient, bumping a thread isn't exactly a good way to see progress, a Private Message would have been nicer. ^^'

Two4Teezee is hard at work implementing some.... interesting and glossy new features.... to say the least. Here is a lite edition Changelog of what's up. He asked not to post any screens. I'm holding that end of the bargain amidst tons of excitement:

I went in and ported over the fightM.def. For those of you who haven't taken a look at these lifebars are certainly missing out. Be sure to give them a try. They give bM a nice classic look.

Two4Teezee worked on the rest of this list....

The Combo Counter was fixed to what it used to look like without misalignment. "Combo Hits" does not dance around the numbers anymore.

Even better, the Winner and Team Winner Fonts were fixed to act exactly like they did in WinMugen.

As seen on some of screens taken by Teezee, the SINGLE/SIMUL/TURNS fonts were aligned so they look as they did before.

To summarize the rest,  every important detail has been bumped up a notch in terms of resolution for further detail. Don't expect a full HD upgrade, but rather a nice selective bath in 640x480 for a deeper, more colorful and rich look. Without dropping a bomb as to what is exactly new, let me hint at the fact that the Mugen-Infantry Banner is now non-existent. I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Let me say, without a single doubt, that the 1.0 update makes the previous WinMugen version look like crap. And that speaks volumes as bM was, and still is, a fine WinMugen SP even if it came out about 4 years ago. I have the latest build (He sent it to me about a week ago) sitting right on my desktop and it looks brilliant.

So whats holding all of this up?? Two4Teezee went crazy on the details. It's a safe bet to say that nobody will be disappointed. Don't worry guys, everything looks great!! And thank you so much for the continued interest.  :sugoi:

Come to think of it, having the attack end with pressing forward or down-forward would be a bit more traditional than up or down. Or perhaps you could do a play on the tiger knee and have up-forward or down-forward instead of straight up or down. The attack command would feel smoother and far more traditional this way.

And this question may be a little off topic, but whats the release plan for Jin Kazama?? Is he exclusive to Capcom VS the World or will he too get a single release treatment?? I ask only because he is one of my top favorites as I would love to have him in my roster.

Just wanted to note that his moveset has deviated from the original plan a bit. Here's what's different:

1. F+HP is an overhead attack instead of the Shoulder Block.
2. The Shoulder Block is now a knockdown attack that's being mapped to the "Special" button.

I also need some advice. Right now, on his Charging Haymaker, if you hold up during the charge, he does an overhead punch, and if you hold down, he does a low-hitting punch. Is that cheap that he can do both? If so, which should he keep, the sweep or the overhead? At first I thought "well, it's easily poked" but then I remembered he's going to have super armor eventually, so it won't stay like that. Just looking for advice on what's fair or how to make it balanced.

Not at all. Look at Balrog's (Boxer) charging attributes: his dashing punch could act as a high or low attack depending if you release the command holding forward or down-forward. No cheapness there. Consider it a nice pressure mind game.

That just pisses me off and I just came from church. All in favor of Vyx being banned from the M.U.G.E.N. commity, say "Aye"!

Wasn't he already banned?? This also happened a while ago, so I think trying to ban him wouldn't matter at this point. I would also imagine plenty of moderators already muted him anyway....

Wow. This is rolling along smoothly already!! Very nice work as usual Sean, your work continually improves.

I say you should show Mr. X's true form through super moves, like a transformation that leads into an attack, and then back again. Kinda like N. Chaos from Melty Blood. Also make sure you include an intro that shows his emergence from one of those pods dropped from a Helicopter, as seen in the FMV that originally introduced him in RE2. Come to think of it, there were 6 of those pods housed under the chopper. Also, he would certainly benefit from armor coding as he is so large and imposing.

I'm watching this release like a hawk. Keep up the astounding releases. You've got a true fan of your work here.

What he is referring to is how Vyx went behind everyones back, forewent community rules and credit, and proclaimed that he "made" BrokenMugen HD. This pissed tons of people off as Vyx tried to pass something that wasnt his off as his very own creation.

Everything seen here looks MIGHTY impressive. But I have one question.... Are all of these characters going to be available for use in personal versions of Mugen?? Or exclusive/moleboxed?? I really hope to add in Mr. X  and Leon to my roster as they are personal favorites.
