Uh, guys. In case you haven't noticed, but ever since this year there's been at least 2Q35 kids under 10 creating GOD AWFUL CHARS. Now they're coming here to release them. What ever happened to standards...

Some of the better creators have retired, passed away, moved on to other projects, et al

I'm not sure kids these days are told this anymore: "You get out of your work what you put into it."

I have some Melty Blood characters (Shiki and Red Arcueid in particular) that had custom win screens in Winmugen. I really like the theme that would play during their quotes, so I decided to make it my default winquote theme when I ported my MUGEN over to 1.0.

Thing is.....I don't know the name of the theme at all. I spent 3 hours listening to Melty Blood themes on youtube, and either no one bothered to upload it, or doesn't know the name of it either. So I have to ask for aid here.

Thanks in advance.

Sean, you might have saw my comment about Sub Zero on You Tube, but I honestly forgot about Jin.

I wasn't disappointed. You do awesome work. I'd like tutoring about coding AI from you if you don't mind. (yes, I do know there are tutorials out there already, but not everyone is good at showing someone how to do something.)

When I am playing team mode, I've run into the following problem.

Say for example, I do a 2 vs 2. Both fighters start out with full health at first, but when a substitute comes in, they don't come in with full health. More like half. I've tried adjusting several things in options, but nothing so far has worked.

Any suggestions, in case there's something I overlooked?

(Sorry if this topic has come up before, but I did a search, and nothing related to this came up.  :'()

Sorry for the very late reply.

I came across this error myself about a month or two ago, when I was attempting to use a different screenpack. Some characters would work. Others would crash Mugen.

I went back to my old screenpack, and everything was fine.

As strange as it sounds, some characters may just be incompatible with the screenpack you are using. I'm no expert, but it's the best answer I can give.

Convert them to .ogg format as opposed to .mp3

When I tried .mp3 in the main and select screens, the music would play, very very rarely. Ogg files play every single time. I don't have problems with .mp3 in stages however.

I don't want the Blaz Blue characters in MUGEN.....yet. Someday I wanna see Ragna the Bloodedge vs Sol Badguy.

I do, more than anything else, want Blaz Blue's lifebars for MUGEN, and mostly because of that badass intro.

The Wheel Of Fate Is Turning. Rebel 1.......ACTION!

I've noticed that about Warusaki's characters. Kyo, Terry, and Mai don't really put up that much of a fight.

His Ken however, is an entirely different story.

It's sad that most people tend to care about the AI of an character, rather than the character itself. If we could have AI's that have a good level that could be set (Like Nanashi_1337 said), then it's all good. The AI's that are hard to beat/cheap usually are the ones have problems/errors that the AI uses to exploit.

I tend to spend a lot of time in Watch Mode, to see who I need to eliminate from my roster, due to a weak AI.

I admit that I tend to care about the AI more than I should, but it's usually because I want characters that are fun to fight against, and not just ones that stand there. For example, a few weeks ago, I fought against a Ray who would barely fight back. I downloaded another version, and that version gave me a serious run for my money. So I guess I like a lot of rank A and rank B fighters.

I understand what people say about AI levels who spam Parry/Just Defense, Fireballs, combos, and all that. I generally leave those characters to Watch Mode (I don't have them set to be encountered at all in Arcade or Survival). It's fun to watch them fight each other (a MUGEN Battle Simulator, if you will) but to fight against? No thanks.

Do you classify your rosters' fighters by a rank? Examples?

This was something I wanted to do about a year ago, but kept putting it off.

I wasn't sure that this would fit in any other sections, so here it is.  :D

NOTE: Broken joke characters like Rare Akuma, Omega Tom Hanks, and the like are not included. I tend to keep those type of characters out of my roster. ALSO: I am going by AI level, not amount of damage caused my moves or anything like that.

Rank S: The best of the best. Only another rank S fighter could hope to defeat them. A rank A *might* be able to pull off a few rounds, but a win against a rank S for them is rather unlikely. They combo without mercy and do not hesitate to unleash their special moves. The creator gave the character an AI level that is considered cheap, brutal, and unfair.

Rank A: These characters have little to no trouble defeating the other ranks. Fights against other rank A's can go either way. Rank S fighters, however, are a completely different story. Combos are common and they unleash special moves at any given chance. The creator gave the character a very challenging AI.

Rank B: A solid rank that can compete with the majority of the cast. Defeating a rank A can be problematic, and a rank S may be out of the question. Combos are less common, but special move spam happens often. The creator gave the character a tough AI.

Rank C: These characters, while lesser versions of rank B's, can still put up a decent enough fight to not be considered boring. They can almost evenly match rank B's. Rank A and Rank S however......no. They use combos on occasion, with special moves being used at a slightly higher frequency.  The creator gave the character a solid AI, but fighting them still seemed a bit easy.

Rank D: A weak group of fighters. They do fight back, but do not seem to put much effort into it, rarely comboing or using special moves. The creator did not put much thought into an AI, and if they did, it wasn't much.

Rank E: The last, weakest group. They move around only slightly more than a training dummy, and don't use any moves or combos at all, throwing out only the most basic of punches and kicks. The creator only made the character to be played as, and didn't think about having him or her to be fought against.

This isn't a request, but more of a reference question. What characters do you have that fit one of these ranks? (One for each rank is enough) Or what AI patchers seem to fit a certain rank? (For example, I had a Dao-Long from Breakers revenge who was at the most, a rank D. An AI patch I downloaded shot him up to a rank S. I am at school now, so I can't look up the name of the person who created the AI patch.)

Hi folks. I've been following stuff on this board for quite a while, but decided to join as I wanted to contribute when I can, and I read things that I wanted to comment on at times.

Great discussions and cool people. What more could you want in a forum?

Glad to be here.

I'm a rather recent addition as well. But I have been lurking this site since 2004. I didn't have my own PC at the time, so I couldn't start a MUGEN.

Other than that, welcome aboard.

Did a search a few minutes ago. The site that I was led to would not translate, and when I did come across download links, Jhun was nowhere to be found.

Author does not matter, but I would really prefer a Jhun with a rather high level AI.

Thanks in advance.

For anyone who doesn't know, it's the Dragonball Z looking stage in Street Fighter Alpha 3.

I have this version, and another version that has the sky colored red. I am looking for the version that has a normal sky color. (Blue sky with white clouds.)
