Reposting to re-answer Loona's questionAnyone know of a good method to search kanji, preferably a site?http://jisho.org/kanji/radicals/
There, found the site that lets you find a kanji by clicking on the radicals it has.
Thanks - I've heard a bit about radicals here and there, this sounds like it could help in the long run with recognizing patterns in different kanji over time if I stick with it.

Anyways, as someone who is brand new to japanese itself, how would you suggest I go about the basics? Like, the barebones basics?Hiraganas - Katakanas first (their pronunciation, don't bother learning them all by heart to the point of being able to write it all at once, just get used to them enough to recognize them) then grammar, which is rather easy for the basics. Things like shounen mangas have furiganas (katakanas on top of the kanjis to let you know how they're read).
This site adds furigana on top of kanji in website in Japanese (just paste the URL in the field near the beginning), could be handy if you don't have some manga or other kinds of literature for children that typically feature that: http://www.hiragana.jp/
Has anyone tried the NHK audio lessons?

I've kept the Namasensei video lessons playing in the background while doing stuff to pick up some vocabulary and review and sharpen some concepts here and there (kinda inspired by the All Japanese All The Time Site, but at this point I think some "bridges" to understand what I'm listening to help), but pure audio sounds more effective for that purpose (less cursing and beer references can't hurt either) - anyone know of other decent audio-only materials, preferably online?
