Just felt like giving this a shot. This is the first time I've tried making a small portrait completely from scratch.

Kakuzu, Hidan, Sasori, and Deidara:

I'll post more as I make them.

I'd really like to make Hidan from Naruto Shippuden. I wouldn't mind trying other Akatsuki characters either. I might actually give Hidan a try when I get the free time needed to create some sprites for him. Might be a huge challenge to sprite even if I go with the small sprites that I usually create. I'd also like to make a M.U.G.E.N version of myself someday.

It's only my opinion, but adding characters like Sasuke, Kenshiro, and Goku to a "Super Smash" game might be a little much. For that, you might as well rename the game "Super Smash Bros Jump Stars". At best, adding only other Nintendo, Konami, and Sega characters might fit better since Nintendo actually did it themselves. That might reduce the amount of work you'd need to do too.

Then again, this is M.U.G.E.N we're talking about here, so you can always ignore my opinion.

Back when I had heard they were tossing Sonic in the game, I was thinking how much I would've loved seeing Alex Kidd in the mix as well. I think a SSBB style "Miracle World" stage would've looked awesome too.

Bomberman also comes to mind. Captain Commando and Sketch Turner would fit nicely too.

whoever got that was lucky!!!
As much as it pains me to admit it, you don't know the half of it... The bag that had my laptop also had my Wireless LAN USB adapter, my plug-in-play controller converter, AND the power supply to charge the laptop. How's that for a smack in the face? --;

A guy could be followed by 5 black cats while walking under 4 ladders only to turn a corner, trip over 1 of the cats and smash into 3 mirrors, and he still wouldn't have shit on me! :sugoi: (in case you missed it: 5 + 4 + 1 + 3 = 13)

Another case of my never-ending bad luck. :-\

My laptop was stolen upon my return from this year's Otakon convention in Baltimore. It was taken from the baggage compartment on the side of the bus that I was on shortly after arriving back in New York. In a way, I blame myself for not taking it with me on the bus itself, but at the same time I can't ignore the fact that the bus driver opened the baggage compartment before everyone got off the bus, which meant that he pretty much allowed people to take whatever bag they wanted even if it wasn't their own.

All of my recent projects were on that laptop, along with my entire M.U.G.E.N folder. Some characters, including Rockman, Alex Kidd, and my original character: Deathstrike, had huge amounts of changes made to them before this happened. And unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to make backups of these new updates. That pretty much means that I wasted days/weeks/months worth of work. I'd like to think that the bag that had my laptop was taken by mistake and that the person that took it might try to return it, but I find it very unlikely that that'll ever happen.

I won't quit altogether cause there's still a lot I would like to do and I still enjoy learning how to code new things. But, I just don't have the patience to go back and re-create all the sprites and coding that I made for my characters' updates right now.

That about sums it up. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

After checking it out a few times, he does in fact seem to turn around on the ground just before the actual jump. It just appears to magically turn around because the first frame of the "Jump Start" animation itself is only 4 ticks. 5 ticks should help make it a little more noticeable, as anything higher would make him stay in place for too long before the jump.

Thanks for pointing it out though.

Thanks guys.

I was thinking about making the charge shots hit multiple times, but since it wasn't that way in Rockman: Power Fighters and Battles, I figured I'd leave it as is.

Sprites were ripped from the NGPC version of Rockman: Power Battle and Fighters. I edited all the sprites to include more colors and also created additional sprites from scratch for him and Rush based on his unused sprites within the arcade games and MvC version.

@Kira - With work dragging me down I kinda rushed a little before release time, so I didn't really get the time to include the charging sounds while playing. The sounds are in the SND though, so I'll have that taken care of soon enough.

@ Evil Momoko - I wasn't going for a platform character conversion and I don't recall this being an issue with Rockman in MvC. I'll double check it and see what I can do about it though.

@ZeroPhantom - The effects were ripped from the arcade games while the actual character sprites were ripped then edited by me. Additional sprites were done from scratch by me as well.

I hope to have updated Rockman by the end of the week. I'll be trying to add his MvC launcher as well as some general bug fixes.

Here's Mini Rockman/Megaman's first public beta release.

I'm sure there are bound to be bugs in this release, but being that it's just a beta for now this release should help me weed them out. Also, for those that seem to like scaling small characters to make them larger, Rockman should be compatible for that.

Details can be found in the readme. I hope you'll like what I've got so far.

Those hitsparks are from the fightfx and are not included in the character's SFF.

Since work has kept me from actually... err... working on this character for a while, it's taken me much longer than I had anticipated to make some real solid progress. However with whatever spare time I've had, I managed to add more colors to the sprites/palette, ripped and replaced the effects from the NGPC version to the arcade version, and brought things to a fairly acceptable level.

Rush Angry -

Rush Drill -

Hyper Rockman -

To be released for public beta-testing this upcoming weekend.

@Golden - Since Gaara manipulates sand itself and Sandman is sand, I would think Sandman wouldn't have control of so much as a grain of his own body. ;)

Hello again. I'd like to request a few stages.

2 of these stages were (IINM) converted by Pneophen and I believe one was called "Top Floor" which was a corridor with a little grandfather clock in the middle of it,  while the other was Dracula's Chamber (I don't remember the exact name) from Castlevania IV, which was a small room with a window and a blue ray of moonlight shining through it. I'm also looking for NeoGouki's "Asteroid M" stage from MSH and Phobos' and Pyron's stages from the Darkstalkers series.

I've looked all over the place, but I can't seem to find any one of these stages online

My e-mail is: OrochiWeapon2000@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance for your time.

There are a few issues with these updates.

- SprPriority for his characters seems odd; they overlap other characters when they probably shouldn't.
- In survival mode, no matter which Groove you pick to start with, the Groove is changed to C-Groove after the first match.
- Honda can connect with a Ooichou Nage after a s.WP, s.MP, c.WP, c.WK, or c.MP.
- Raiden seems to have similar issues with being able to connect special/super grabs after attacks when he shouldn't.
- Something I always noticed about Raiden's Dokugiri: The spray effect binds to him for too long which looks odd since he gains control quicker then the mist can disappear. It probably shouldn't bind to him at all.
- With Maki in C-Groove/EX-Groove and Power = 3000, the command for Maki's Level 2 Bushin Gouraiha causes her to use the Level 3 version while using the command for the Level 3 doesn't work at all.
- I don't remember Kyosuke having an infinite with his Air Combo: Launcher, j.WP, j.WK, j.MP, land, repeat Launcher into air combo. :-\
- If you super cancel from Kyosuke's "Shadow Cut Kick" into his "Super Shadow Cut Kick", the explod from the S.C.K. doesn't disappear until the first kick from the S.S.C.K. is complete.

That's about all I could find for now.

I've found that he has a couple of infinites, odd juggles, explods/helpers don't seem to bind properly during hitpauses (jumping strong slash is a great example of this), and damages seem a tad high. The lack of blood sparks kinda sucks.

Not his worst, but could use improvement.

In my humble opinion, even if you felt strongly about working on them because of whatever issues you and DGJ had (I can't imagine what happened there), that doesn't mean you have to stop doing what you feel is fun. It's not like you have to release them once they're done, right?

Who knows? Best case scenario: You might end up patching things up with the guy somewhere down the line. And even if you never do, anyone can (and should) at least appreciate the end results of the efforts that they put into their own works.

I enjoy M.U.G.E.N because I use it to play against my friends and family with an incredibly wide range of characters from games they're familiar with and know how to play. It's pretty funny to see the expressions on their faces when I kick their asses with a character they've never even seen or heard of before. *cough*PEKETO!*cough* :sugoi:

Other than that, I really enjoy creating/converting characters the way I see fit. It's all in good fun for me. While the drama of the forums can be somewhat entertaining at times, playing and creating for M.U.G.E.N is what it's all about for me.
