You haven't read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy?

I don't mean that as a question to answer, just you should give it a try.  It's really good.

Um, but for a question, I have a curiosity on spriting.  If you have something particular you wish to have done, but is normally viewed in 3D, would you draw the thing in question as you interpret it would be viewed in 2D, or try to get it viewable in as close a 2D perspective as possible?  Like the hacks out there to remove all the fancy camera angles on SFIV's Ultras or MK9's X-Ray moves?

I'm sorry, I can't take the Zora being sexy remotely seriously after this.  They're fish, after all. :P

Personally I wasn't taking this game very seriously, so they can do what they want with Queen Zelda and fabulous Link.  But it's a bit more understandable if they start messing with previous iterations of established versions of the characters, though.

Alien or Predator?

Ryu or Ken?

Goku or Vegeta?

Clever questions or simple black or white ones?

When you and Cybaster fuse into one super being of Mugen creation, will you use the name Cybalthazar?

Well man, now I'm curious how you managed to do that.

Oh hey, another game finished.  So I finished off Gunnerkrigg Court: The Game Child of Light.

Nice, short RPG.  Story's about Aurora seeming to wake in a new world right as she's dying, finding she's the "Child of Light", and bringing light back to this dark world by bringing back the sun, the moon and the stars, while she just wants to return home to her father whom she learns is dying without her.  Also, everyone speaks in poetry throughout and it's really pretty looking.

Combat was usual ATB affair, along with a little blue bug you moved around the field with the joystick (Or I guess that pad the WiiU has with their version), using him to blind  individual opponents to slow their progress on the ATB bar.  Worked fine, looked pretty, kinda sucked you gain a whole troop of 7 party members and can only use 2 at a time though.  You're going to want Aurora out there almost all of the time, which also kinda cuts down on play time with the other members you gain.

But yeah, fun RPG overall.  Could have done with more expanding on using the other party members in different situations, that would be the main detractor.  I guess 8/10

Side note, I keep laughing each time "Professor Balthazar" shows up in the confessions.

You only need one newspaper and chair to get by, anyways.

Only bad habit that comes to mind I've fallen into and kept is keeping intentionally broken characters as bosses.  I blame Akuma on that one, though.

Well, and I guess having about 80-so potential character ideas without much background on the fine workings of most 2D fighters, if that could be seen as a habit.  Good to know what to actually aim for when trying to make a character, I'd say.  But then, I believe every single character I'd be interested in would be completely customly sprited, and my spritework is god-awful, so I wasn't getting very far there anyways.

Alright, let me rephrase that.    It was really fun to revisit City Escape done better than how I recall its original version as I haven't played Sonic Adventure 2 since it was new.

Even if it wasn't, it was hardly a bad level in Generations in any way.

-Showing WIP characters that aren't immediately available to the public, as that is a sign of a selfish creator and said creator has no right to do such things!
Eh?  But showing progress during a WIP is helpful to the creator.  A selfish creator would, like, have a perfectly made Samus or Marcus Fenix or something not commonly found but desired and often flaunts it.

Unless you mean like if Card Saga Wars was announced released, you just can't get it for 8 more months, or something like that.

In story or gameplay is it awful?  Or both?

Story I can see, it's shoehorning Bayformers into Cybertron's story. (Actually, how to they do that anyways, the whole point of the Cybertron games' story was leading to the beginning of the original show?  So...does the Ark's portal suddenly take them to Bay's movies instead?  Or what?)

Gameplay should have just been re-skining Fall of Cybertron though.  And FoC's gameplay is great.  So how did they screw that up?

Oh, and I guess I finished Sonic Generations.  I haven't played a current gen Sonic game beyond 4's first episode, so the Modern Sonic portions were better than I expected since the last ones I've played on Sonic Heroes.  Was really fun to revisit Speed Highway and City Escape in 3D again but done better.

The 2D recreations of all the levels for Classic Sonic were great, mix of nostalgia and new.  Heck, they made Sonic 06 look really good.  Original versions of the various games' music with orchestral, techno or whatever other remixes on each games' level was a nice touch.   Only real complaint is how really short it was.  But for $7, that's just fine.

8.5/10, and I'm not even that big a Sonic fan.

I'd still prefer Dark Samus to freaking Zero Suit.  The whole thing was so gimmicky last game and just weird now to have the same character twice, just now without her armor and gaining battle ready sci-fi heels.

And yeah, I've seen the Fusion Suit colors before, that's why I just hoped they'd go with improving the previous Dark Suit color they had before, and add the Light Suit's colors, rather than a whole alternative outfit.

If they were going for alt. outfits, I'd spring for Prime's Varia they used last game or even the plain old Power Suit instead.

If there was going to be yet another Samus to play as, it would probably be the repeat appearing one masterminding events of two of the Prime games before the semi-intelligent one-off parasite who stole her old armor.

Speaking of armor, that Skyward Sword Link just reminded me this game would be the perfect time to bring in some Light Suit colors and improved Dark Suit ones.

What game have you played?
Own Anarchy Reigns, played Bayonetta with a friend and watched bits of Revengance.  Tried the Metal Gear game when its demo came with Zone of the Enders, couldn't get into it.  Also helps I don't know much on Metal Gear to begin with.  Heck, thought Raiden was a woman at first.

Not saying they can't make something enjoyable, I hope they do.  But what I've dealt with in the past didn't really click with me.

Sorry, I meant the other three shots.  The first one's ok.  It'll probably look overall better in motion as well.

Hilarious, walt.

I still don't find their previous games I've played and watched all that appealing, so I'd like to think I'm understandably a bit cautious as to what they'll do with a series I'm interested in.

...I've had a rather negative reception with past games from Platnium.  But it's a Korra game.

Damn, I dunno what to make of this now.

The preview screenshots look a little dated graphics-wise.
