I don't have much hope, but I'm really curious to see if they'll throw in some more characters. They renamed it "vs +", would they do that just for a new arcade mode ? (which is nice BTW, the story mode got boring fast after redoing the same events with a different team - and same sidequests !)

Ah, good comparison. I hope they'll do that, though I'm not too sure about it.

The "new punch chain" is a very quick triple slap, short ranged, with both hands. It's so fast you have to slow down the video to understand the movement. We don't know the button combination yet, with how fast it is, I feel it's a command normal or something, probably a single button move (like a close LP maybe).
The "low double spin" is brand new, she spins like a top on one foot and the other leg is extended, she spins and hits twice, but she's crouching very low, so it's a double sweep. She keeps spinning, stands up, and immediately goes into Tenshou kyaku the couple of times we saw it used.
There's also a crouching HP with a huge range, she gets on her back and slides with her fist extended.
The new super is really simple, it shouldn't need any new sprite.

It's not a one hour analysis about a one minute teaser.
Like I said. You're wrong, drop it.

Yeah, we need to lock this topic until the game is released, it's useless to discuss trailers and demo footage.

Taking a trailer that lasts one minute and making an analysis off it that lasts one hour. That's dumb because there actually is a lot to say, counting each of the basics (including jump, crouch, counter), specials, supers, and system.
Apparently the guy will make two more videos, for Chun Li and the system. Looking forward to it.

I myself am really surprised they kept the same assets and made such a jump in gameplay (not that it would have been any good to redo the models and everything from scratch with a very different look). It's Dynasty Warriors all over again ! But yeah, I'll wait to see how it plays. I wonder if they'll throw in a 2D versus mode, just removing the 3D running and adding jump and crouch back. ... Yeah, probably not.

See what I said earlier about Thor's origin movie : Thor gets depressed at two points in this movie - when he fails to lift the hammer, and then when he goes to sacrifice himself. Those moments are indeed defining moments for his character as a superhero, it's what gets him acknowledged as "worthy of the power of Thor".
But the thing is, they're not his whole being. for the near entirety of the movie, he's boasting, shouting, laughing, drinking. Not crying. And that's what Thor does and is (at least in the movie, I'm not much familiar with his comics).
Spiderman is similar : his biggest lesson, great powers and great responsibilities, came from losing uncle Ben. Then captain Stacy, and Gwen. But the thing is, those events happen over a lengthy period - and the rest of that period is full of his quirks and snappy comments and being funny. He cries every now and then because he's human, because he does have shit happening to him, but he doesn't cry all the time. In the movies, it's a pretty big percentage of what happens.
Garfield did a great attempt at showing that side of his character (in spite of crying when captain Stacy dies !) There were other bad / weird / stupid stuff in it, and I didn't see Amazing 2, but at least he definitely showed that side of Spiderman better than McGuire, who was just... slumped and hesitating all the time, even when he tried to make snarky comebacks, he was nearly whispering them and not putting his body into it. And that simply isn't what Spiderman is.

Miyamoto wasn't willing to say much about the next Legend of Zelda [...] but he noted that "one of the things we're working on right now is that, as you play, the world will change and be affected by what you choose to do."
It's not much in today's games, but it's definitely new for a Zelda (assuming it's more than the surroundings of a temple after beating it, or the Oracle games). Although, with the knack for side quests, I hope it still makes sure that there aren't stuff that can never be done anymore if you missed them and triggered something unexpected. I hate it when that happens in exploration games.

Acted on, sure, you can even send the SWAT. But CHECK IF THE GUN ISN'T A GODDAMN TOY BEFORE YOU FUCKING SHOOT SOMEONE IN THE FACE. If you don't, you're a murderer, flat out. THAT is how it works : you look where you go, who you're dealing with, and you assess the threat by your own eyes BEFORE committing murder. Like Iced said, if someone calls the cops on you making false claims of that exact same nature, they're not supposed to burst in and shoot you without looking.
In fact, I'm pretty sure that's the whole reason they send only on pair of cops to check it out, and not directly the SWAT when they get a call about someone with a gun in a store. Because I'm pretty sure that a shoot-out at a store would warrant a bigger intervention than just a pair of cops. They're here to assess the situation, and then say if it needs more or not.
Apparently you somehow thought I meant "try and guess if it's serious before even sending someone in". That's retarded.

"But how many times can you say ‘you’re wearing a funny costume’ with the tights and stuff? That’s been going on for 20 years now."

"Yes, we all know that superheroes are damaged individuals. Maybe we need to see a happy superhero?"
I don't even understand those ones. What about the funny costumes, does that mean superheroes shouldn't wear a costume ? As for seeing a happy superhero rather than damaged people, that's just nonsense, Marvel doesn't make that the focus of their stuff, "happy" is what they do all the time.
Iron Man had this "damaged hero" because he was the first, Thor had his origin movie and then immediately fucked off in the opposite direction of "damaged" (and even then he was only "damaged" for a small part of that movie, after he failed to retrieve the hammer and when he tried to sacrifice himself, he was happy all the time otherwise), Cap is leagues away from that in both his movies, Avengers is a slugfest, GotG doesn't give a crap (of course they acknowledge the past that Rocket, Drax and Gamora have but as a team they're pretty forward). This comment only works on origin movies, and that's because that's just how the characters are most of the time - because they've been like that for decades.

In fact, the "that's been going on for 20 years" makes me think that when he says Marvel, he means Sony and Fox too. In which case that's totally true.

Isnt that chunli Explosive wave thing?
Chun-Li's losing life on that shot, and the text explicitly says what I translated (and they don't usually speculate that way). Also, what little we see of her doesn't look like the Kikou Shou Goku (big ball version of the Kikou Shou from MvC/SFEX).

"It is important for you to convey to the public that police officers pursue criminality, not color. Officers must have a reason to make contact with an individual. They must be able to explain later in court that they had either a reasonable suspicion or probable cause to believe the individual had committed or was about to commit an offense.

The fact is that more than 95 percent of police contacts are handled without rising above the level of dialog. This is because most people are cooperative and compliant. This is the way it should be, because it is unlawful to resist and or obstruct an officer, while in the performance of his/her duty.

If a person disagrees with a stop or an arrest, the place to argue the case vigorously is in a court of law, not on the street."
Counter argument : stop and frisk. Instantly renders the above quote null and void since it's a lie. (yes, I know, stop and frisk is only in some particular place, but that changes nothing)
The onus isn't on the citizens, it's on the cops. The cops don't have to make citizens understand cops better, cops have to be the ones to understand citizens. Their authority doesn't mean they can become tyrants murdering anyone who doesn't listen to them.
Quote
It seems to me the person calling in the false 911 call is the one accountable.
The 911 calls are indeed often bullshit in those cases, but the cops still have to assess the situation by themselves without such massive prejudice. Was the BB gun visually recognizable as fake ? If not, the company that makes them should get sued for being criminally dangerous. If yes, then the cop should be sued for being a fucking moron and a murderer.
There's probably tons of 911 calls all the time in a single day, it's the police's job to filter them out and figure out which ones are legit and which ones are full of shit.
