Apparently the original idea was that those were the "American" branch of the Foot. The Japanese branch are all traditional ninjas.

I have to agree with the block sound effects being inappropriate.

As for the voice, I remember seeing Onomatopoeia on one of those DC Nation shorts that used to be on Cartoon Network. Maybe you can track that down and use it for some inspiration.

TMNT 2014

Yeah this was as dumb as everybody was expecting.

The jokes were dull, besides looking stupid the Turtles and Splinter's voices were unfitting (save for Raph's), the story is way to focused on April, to the point where

also why is Mikey crushing on her

The Shredder, goofy as he looked, was the best part of sitting through this. He had the best fight scenes and the best lines. William Fichtner's character (who's aligned with the Shredder) is pretty terrible though, what a waste of an actor.

Saddest thing? Numbers are in, and as it turns out, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles managed to more than double Guardians of the Galaxy's haul at the North American box office yesterday *groans*

(And no I didn't spend money on it myself)
