SF characters having mediums isn't final since I haven't started working on AIs yet. I personally think them having mediums isn't a big deal (only KOF characters having knockdown attacks I think would be a bigger problem than that).
I want them to have the feel of the game in which they come from (from a button input standpoint), as well as seeing the differences in using the two sides. So unless its found to be a big problem, SF fighters will have mediums, KOF fighters will have knockdown attacks to complement.

My favorite feature is the floor bounce, I've seen it in a lot of 3D fighting games like tekken and DOA but I've always wished it would make a 2D apperance. You have my support
Go on and finish your roster of characters and when that is done maybe I can help with the design of the SP

Hmm you might be able to spice things up a little by maybe combining ideas for the lifebars/special bars together, or just work on the ones you've got atm. Another option would be to draw the special bars as part of the characters sff files, like warusaki's CVS characters, and that way you can give all the KOF characters their own look, and the SF characters their own look, and it would change on its own as you fight one opponent to the next.
