It's not the CNS bypassing it, it's the StateDef in the CNS saying that the ctrlflag is 1. That would mean that the CMD is correct and the AI is acting accordingly, but the CNS may have a flaw.

There's a possibility that in the Ultra/Special StateDef [in the CNS] that you have ctrl=1 or none listed at all (which leaves it unchanged). Check to make sure that in every Ultra/Special StateDef that you have ctrl=0.

I'm lost on what that would be; I haven't seen that kind of res.

The two black bars could be that the mugen is using a standard height resolution which doesn't stretch as far as 1024 height.

It's coming along nicely now that the sprites have been updated. The separating is a pain though; it took me all day to get just 15 sprites done. Can't wait to get this done because whatever project I work on next, it won't be nearly this much.

Most all attack sprites are finished, about 50-60% finished with the entire sprite-set now. Hope to post a video sometime in the next few days.

Don't try to do too much at one time. I made that same mistake, and although I was able to show something, I didn't like how it turned out. Focus on making the characters (or anything else) first; I would love to see some progress on this.

Mabye it isn't a good idea to have mediums. Something like CVS1 would be better.
Besides, less work for me.

I don't know if I'll keep knockdown attacks, but if I do, both sides will have them.

The idea is great and the fact that you are actually making the characters work under one system is quite interesting.  I wish I could do the same but I don't have the programing skill to achieve that goal. That's why I stick to ScreenPacks lol

My favorite feature is the floor bounce,  I've seen it in a lot of 3D fighting games like tekken and DOA but I've always wished it would make a 2D apperance.  You have my support :D

Go on and finish your roster of characters and when that is done maybe I can help with the design of the SP :)

My strength is programming as I'm not much of an artist, so I'll definitely keep that offer in mind. :)

Hmm you might be able to spice things up a little by maybe combining ideas for the lifebars/special bars together, or just work on the ones you've got atm. Another option would be to draw the special bars as part of the characters sff files, like warusaki's CVS characters, and that way you can give all the KOF characters their own look, and the SF characters their own look, and it would change on its own as you fight one opponent to the next.

Waru is actually a strong influence in how I'm creating my characters, so I'll look more into putting the gauges in the characters. Since there won't be grooves and whatnot, they'll probably look the same for everyone.

I knew I got that idea from somewhere, probably Tekken 5 considering I've barely played 6.

The hitsparks aren't mine, and I will probably need a bit of help on finding and/or making good ones. The lifebar design has potential, but it does look plain and dull right now. Now that I know how I want to code the characters, I'll turn my attention to those problems this week.
