Joypad Question!

Just a few questions about using a joypad to play WinMugen:

1. Does it make the game run slower through any memory constraints?
2. Are there any joypads that are NOT compatible with WinMugen?

Thanks :D

Great, thanks so much! Once I fix my keyboard I'll be running Mugen again! BTW - my laptop has 1GB of RAM - is that enough to run WinMugen with stage BGM?

Thanks alot, Tom. I'm sorry if some of you thought I wrote this post just to be lazy, but that really was not my intention. I've just been away from the scene for so long, and I was somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of creations that were made. I was just hoping to get some sort of a consensus on the best creations, even though I'm a fan of all works as long as they're not stolen.

Many thanks for the time and responses, guys. Ok, so yet another question: would it be wise, then, to test all my characters and ensure that they work before I actually run any of them through Dos2Win and SFF? Is there a chance that they may actually work with WinMugen immediately?

I've been out of Mugen for over 4 years now, and thus I have no idea which characters to download. Can you please suggest the best characters that have been created over last few years? Or more recent. Whatever is easiest. Just state the char and who the creator is. Thanks!

Ok, I've been out of Mugen for years so you'll have to forgive me. I used to run DOS Mugen flawlessly on my old computer, but I now have a laptop running on Windows XP. With that, I have a few questions:

1. How do I update characters? Do I just have to run them through Dos2Win?
2. Does Dos2Win always convert them properly?
3. Are creators generally supporting WinMugen now, or are chars still made for DOS?
4. What kind of system requirements and demands does WinMugen have?

Thanks! Also, a bonus question I'd love to have answered: can I use an XBox 360 pad to play Mugen?

:D Thanks everyone!

I've been out of MUGEN for so long that I almost forgot how to add characters. With that said, I have a GREAT custom Mugen that's the DOS version but I want to convert it to WinMugen because my laptop is not compatible with DOS Mugen. What do I need and what do I do? How do I do it? Is there any fast way to do it??? I realize this may be asking alot but know that I am VERY grateful for any help I receive, and I'm just generally not quite competent when it comes to computers. I really require assistance. Many thanks, friends!
