Re: Image scaler other than Scale2X?

I've taken a look at Scale2EX's code. Basically, what it does is :
-resize to 2x using Scale2x
-resize the result to 4x the original size using Nearest Neighbour/No interpolation.
-apply GIMP's Dilate filter.
-resize back to 2x without interpolation.

So, if PSP has a filter equivalent to Dilate, you can get Scale2EX from a Scale2x'd image. Otherwise...
gimp is free so just get it.
Although I recommend getting it from http://portableapps.com if you just want to take a quick look at it.

The Last of Us : got it from a friend for my birthday, so I have to finish it, otherwise I'd feel (slightly) bad. Four hours in so far, the story is kind of interesting, the gameplay isn't, but that's not an issue since it's possible to just ignore all the enemies and sprint from a cutscene trigger point to the next.

Fallout 2 : finished a playthrough a couple weeks ago. Started a new one because a new version of the unofficial patch got released a couple days ago... followed by a new version of the unofficial patch for Vampire the Masquerade : Bloodlines.

What is it with modders and releasing their stuff the week Shadowrun Returns comes out ? ):<

The trailer's okay, but I have a bad feeling that the devs are going to get you poisoned in a cutscene, then have you wander around the map for half of the game in order to find or make a cure... again.

I haven't seen that video before. Pretty sweet stuff. But good luck explaining how Batman's got the Grapnel Boost, which is supposed to be a prototype in Arkham City. *shot*
Also, I've noticed they've added even more sound during combat. Not sure whether I like it. =/

As far as I can remember, CamStudio tends to lag whenever there's too much stuff (motion, colors) going on in the area you're capturing.

Not the best solution, but I'd try playing around with MUGEN's frameskipping option. Make sure you have debug keys activated, turn debug view on, hit CTRL+F and see which setting (visible via the "skip" parameter in debug view) gives the best performance with CamStudio.

If you're using Windows XP, disabling hardware acceleration might also help a bit.

If that doesn't work...
use VirtualDub
Fixed. *shot*

Tell me if this fixes the parry issue.
It doesn't.

Most (if not all) of the moves that put the opponent in a custom state do so via a P2StateNo parameter in their HitDef.
Somehow, it makes the opponent completely immune to said moves whenever they have an active HitOverride with the corresponding attributes.

For instance, you can parry a fully charged Focus Hammer just fine with Jmorphman's characters (parry via helper with ReversalDef) while Infinite's characters (parry via HitOverride) will walk right through it.

I'm guessing the correct way to fix it would be to replace all of the P2Stateno parameters with TargetState controllers. =x

Try AviDemux. Alternatively, if you are a hardcore command line/anti-GUI type, go for FFMPEG/LibAV.

a plugin for virtualdub to load mp4s?
Two options :

Resident Evil: Revelations

Started the game on Infernal. It's (very) hard, although manageable. But I didn't think the game would dump me into tight corridors with dozens of bullet sponge monsters even before the cutscene which is supposed to introduce the first enemy.
So far, it's pretty fun, except for a couple of shooting gallery segments.

Remember Me

Played two hours so far, and spent most of the first one raging at the audio not working properly during pre-rendered cutscenes with a 7.1 setup, then trying to figure out whether I should set the audio to French or English.
Pretty linear so far, and I'm not very fond of the combat system (was expecting something like the Arkham games or Sleeping Dogs). The setting, graphics and music are nice though.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Protip : to fully enjoy that game, unmap the sticky cover and takedown buttons. *shot*

Gunpoint.

Basically a 2D version of Watch_Dogs that doesn't suck with less pewpew bits. Fun and short (took me 2~3 hours fo finish and get A+ on every mission), but not an inch of filler. The gimmick of the Crosslink (basically a mini-level editor) is really neat and allows for a lot of messing around with the levels. There's a bit of replay value in optional objectives, but no real challenge unless you're going for no violence/witnesses.
I'd say it's well worth the 15 bucks I paid for it.

Tap up to jump, release up to get a short hop, then tap and hold up again before he jumps off the ground = jump with short hop vels (or short hop with normal jump properties ?? *shot*).

Allows fancy stuff like Air Tatsumaki during a short hop.

EDIT: also, there's some debug flood on his projectiles.

  • Problems with Air Hou'ou Kyaku:
    • Allows the opponent to recover right after the 12th and 16th hits.
    • When done close enough to the ground (e.g cancel the first frames of a Han Getsu Zan), Tenshou Zan (10th hit) will fail to connect.
    • Can cross over the opponent if done at the right height (e.g. jump, use a normal on the way down cancel into Air Hou'ou Kyaku), and the second part (after the Tenshou Zan) doesn't connect at all when it happens.
    • When cancelling an EX Hi En Zan (before the third hit) into it (not sure whether that's even intended), opponents can fall through the floor, which makes them land safely on the ground (and able to block subsequent hits).
    • Scratch that, it looks like it can happen whenever it connects against an airborne opponent. @.@
  • Chou Tenshou Zan is unsafe on hit : some opponents can ground recover in time to retaliate before Kim regains control. Make it a hard knockdown or something like that, maybe ?
  • Same for qcf+K, minus the "unsafe on hit" part. But it sure looks like it should result in a hard knockdown. :P
  • Han Getsu Zan and Hi En Zan can be cancelled into from a standing or crouching attack. The other specials and supers can only be cancelled into from a standing attack.
  • No sound when Haki Kyaku whiffs ?
